Chapter 53 His new step-mother
Chapter 53 His new step-mother
MARK’S POV
I woke up startled with my sheets tangled around my legs, my shirt half-off in disarray, and the lingering taste of vanilla on my lips.
My head was pounding slightly, not from alcohol hangover, but from everything else.
That dream. That insanely, vivid, body aching and mind shattering dream.
A woman in bathed in the moonlight. Green eyes that cut through my head. A kiss that turned my blood into lava. And that body hourglass curves in a silk robe that left little to the imagination. She said her name was Linda, she said she was his....
“Stepmom,” I muttered, rubbing a hand over my face. “Jesus.”
It had to be a dream. My subconscious playing games with me again. A sick fantasy fueled by hormones and sleep deprivation, that was the only logical explanation because there's no way in hell that was real. That I kissed my father's wife.
But just in case… I sniffed my shirt. Vanilla perfume. My stomach dropped as dread filled my mind.
Nope, it was definitely not a dream. I ran off to the bathroom planning on clearing my head with some cold water. I took of my shorts and was stunned to see my penis loud and proud. I had a morning boner. That bad never happened before but it was happening now. I stood still for a moment, unsure what to do in this situation. I decided to take my bath normally and just go for breakfast.
The smell of sizzling bacon drew me downstairs, still a little bit drowsy and dazed from everything. I turned into the kitchen, expecting the usual silence and his dad buried in emails.
Instead, there she was, Linda. She was real alright.
She was wearing an oversized hoodie that barely hid her thighs. Standing barefoot in front of the stove, flipping pancakes like she hadn’t kissed the life out of him last night. Her glossy pink lips were curved in a slight smile, and her hair was perfectly messy. Like a sexy bedhead.
And she was talking to my dad like they were best of friends rather than partners. She swatted my dad's hands away when he tried to steal some pancakes.
“I always add cinnamon to my pancakes,” she said sweetly, passing a plate to him. “Little trick I learnt from my mom.”
I froze in the doorway like an ice popsicle. I accidentally sneezed causing two pair of eyes to look in my direction.
“Look who finally decided to wake up,” my dad grunted. “You’re always late these days.”
Linda turned, her green eyes meeting mine, and for a split second, something unspoken passed between us . A flash of memory consisting of tongues and heat.
My throat went dry.
“Morning,” she said, her voice casual and unbothered.
I managed to give a nod since I didn't trust my voice.
“You’re lucky Linda is very easygoing,” my dad added. “She’s not like me that is , always on your ass about being punctual.”
“I don’t mind,” Linda said, biting into a big strawberry that coated her lips with its glossy liquid. “He seems... interesting.”
My eyes narrowed as I couldn't take my eyes of that lip. Her tone said everything I needed to know. Last night had happened and I wasn't sure if she had told my dad or not.
And I wasn't waiting around to find out. I grabbed a protein bar off the counter and practically bolted for the door.
“I’m running late for class,” I said loudly. “See you guys later.”
Classes was a blur. Professors droned on, students gossiped about celebrities and the opposite sex, the athletes bounced balls on the courts, and none of it registered. My brain was still at home, wrapped around thick creamy legs that weren’t supposed to be wrapped around my, thinking about soft moans that weren’t supposed to be heard, and a kiss that definitely wasn’t supposed to have happened.
I replayed the moment up to a hundred times. The taste of her lips on mine and the softness. The heat of her body, the intoxicating scent and the way she didn’t pull away.
By the time I got home that evening, I was hoping she wouldn’t be there, hoping that q wouldn't face her. But she was there.
Curled up on the living room couch, scrolling her phone like she owned the place, wearing tiny shorts and a tank top that didn’t believe in bras. The moment he walked in, her gaze lifted up to me low, seductive and definitely deliberate.
“Hey,” she said. “You had a long day?”
I hesitated in the doorway. “Yeah, school was stressful.”
“Cool.”
I cleared my throat wondering how to start the convo. “Hey, uh… about last night.”
She tilted her head, amused.
“I...I’m sorry,” I said, my voice low. “I didn’t mean to, I wasn’t thinking clearly. I thought I was dreaming. I was definitely drunk and shouldn’t have..”
“It’s okay.” Her tone was gentle, but mischievous. “I don’t mind.”
I blinked surprised at her words. “You don’t?”
“Nope.”
Then, without warning, she stood, crossed the room slowly, and plopped herself right onto my lap like she had a right to.
Every part of me stiffened instantly at the contact.
Her thighs straddled my legs. Her weight warm. Her scent was intoxicating, a mix of vanilla and lust, wrapped around me like a curse.
She leaned in, brushing her nose against my. “I liked your kiss. I liked it more than I should actually."
My hands hovered awkwardly over her waist. “Linda..we shouldn't…”
Her voice was soft, lips nearly grazing mine as she leaned in further. “You’ve been thinking about it all day, haven’t you?”
I swallowed hard “Yes.”
“Me too.”
My heartbeat thundered loudly in my ears. “But we...this is...”
“Wrong?” she whispered. “Or does it feel too good to care?”
My hands finally landed on her hips, my lust overriding hesitation and logic.
Her lips curled into a triumphant smirk at my actions.
“Tell me to get up,” she challenged. “Tell me you don’t want this.”
I wanted to stop her. Wanted to tell her that she was my dad's wife and this was wrong. But I couldn't, instead I grabbed the back of her head and pulled her into a heated kiss.
