Chapter 100

Chapter 100
Ava’s POV

I stirred awake with a smile on my face as I remembered how the night had played out. I had not imagined that he was going to knock on my door. There was really nothing to have hinted that he was going to come and see me, else I would have prepared for last night. But alas, everything had worked out in my favour, and I dared say that was the best lovemaking I have ever had.

Celia may be right about me being addicted to sex, but it didn’t change the fact that no one else made love to me as well as Dale did. Well, except my Mystery Man, but that was a stranger and I was not going to count him.

I finally opened my eyes and looked at the side of the bed where he was lying last night, but he wasn’t there. I rolled to the other side of the bed and he wasn’t there either.

Surprised, I sat upright on the bed and looked around the room, realizing that he was gone. His clothes were not here, and it was almost as if last night had not happened. Well, the sweet throbbing in my vagina and my naked body were enough evidence that it had.

I let out a deep breath and climbed down from the bed. He must have gone back to his room as soon as I fell asleep, and I immediately felt guilty. He had come in here because he wanted to talk to me about something important.

Our sudden lovemaking had disrupted that, and I wondered what it was that was so important for him to come here last night.

“Stop thinking so hard, Ava. You enjoyed last night. It would also not be bad if you go over to his room and you guys still end up making love,” I thought to myself. My cheeks turned bright pink as I imagined all the ungodly things we would do to each other.

With a new spring in my steps, I walked into the bathroom, took a quick shower, and changed into a free long T-shirt. That should make it quite easy for us to get down to business once again.

I arrived at his door and knocked softly. There was no question asked and the door swung open to me. His face fell upon seeing me, and a bitter pang of disappointment washed through me.

However, I quickly pushed that aside and got down to the main reason why I was here—to hear what it was that he wanted to talk to me about last night.

“Good morning, Dale. Can I please come in?” I asked.

His eyes roamed through my body, taking in my pretty frame. I smiled within me, knowing that should do the trick, but he shook his head upon raising it.

“No. We can talk fine right here,” he said and leaned against the door, blocking me from coming in and also letting me know this was his final stance.

I swallowed that, wondering what the hell was wrong with him. He had been all gentle and nice when he came into my room last night. He had been calm and soft, so what was he up to, being all cold and aloof right now?

“You are wasting my time, Ava. What is it that you want to talk about?” he demanded in an impatient tone.

I flashed him a harsh glare, my hands itching to hit him on the cheek. Finally, I got myself together and folded my hands. If he wanted us to talk here, then we would talk here.

“Umm, you came to my room last night,” I said, looking him dead in the eyes.

He became quite defensive at those words, and I became certain that last night was not a figment of my imagination. He must have enjoyed it just as much as I did.

“Yes, what about it?” he demanded in a sharp tone.

“You told me that there was something you would like to talk to me about. Unfortunately, we were not able to talk about it last night, so do you mind telling me why you were in my room?” I asked, hitting the nail on the head.

“Umm, about that, you can forget all about it,” he said and scratched a point behind his neck.

My mouth hung wide open at those words. What the hell did he mean by forgetting all about it? He had come into the room looking all serious and solemn. I had sincerely thought he had something important to say. Or had I misinterpreted his actions? Was I so excited to see him that I had misread everything?

“I cannot just forget about it. You looked all serious last night. You might as well spill,” I insisted.

“Look, it was a mistake, so don’t sweat over it,” he said, and at that instant, my face fell.
Suddenly, everything became crystal clear to me and my blood boiled with rage. What the hell did he take me for? Did he think that I was a toy he could use as he pleased? That was not possible. Well, it was possible because he had done that.

“You are evil,” I hissed at him and struck him hard on the cheek.

He clutched his face as soon as my hand let go. My palm burned from the impact of the slap, but it was nothing compared to the emotional turmoil I was in.

I felt used and violated, and I just could not wrap my head around the fact that Dale had lied to me last night just to use me.

Heck, I would have been more than willing to offer myself to him. He didn’t have to lie to me just to get me to make love to him. That was inhumane, and I hated him so much for that.

“You are the worst person on the surface of the earth, and I curse the day I crossed paths with you,” I hissed, and with tears streaming down my face, I stormed away to the comfort of my bedroom.
