Chapter 47
Some people are meant to fall in love with each other, but not meant to be together.
We fight back and we risk everything we had just to be together, yet here I am away from him. completely separated from the love of my life and waiting for the death that will forever tear us apart.
It's been three hours since the soldiers let my brothers out. I was left alone in tears with chains wrapped around my hands and feet. I didn't even bother to stand up or move when soldiers came to take me away.
Looks like it's my time.
"Traitor!" I was deaf. I hugged my legs while resting my chin on my knees. I hear nothing, I hear nothing.
"Stand up!" I don't hear anything.
"You're really stubborn!" I moaned as the soldier pulled my hair just to make me stand up.
Despite the pain I was feeling, I tried to steady myself. I gave him my fearless and deathly stare I could ever give. I want to convey to him that despite the chains on my body I can take his life in a single moment.
.I could feel his body suddenly stiffen with the way I was staring but he tried to recover until his heavy palm flew on my cheek causing me to suddenly fall on the hard and cold floor with blood on my lips.
"You're brave! you will die too!" he laughed very loudly. But instead of looking pitiful, I stared at him hard again while I both raised my chained hands to wipe the blood from my lips.
"Really.." he said angrily. he was about to throw his fist at me when the two soldiers with him stopped him.
"That's enough! We have to get him out, he won't be killed here!" a soldier scolded him. The soldier just muttered that he wanted to kill me.
the third soldier approached me and untied the chain from its binding to the firm foundation of the prison. They violently pulled the chain to force me to stand up and walk to follow them.
With every step I take, I get closer to death. It's painful to accept, but it looks like this is my destiny. A love that will end in death.
When I got out of the prison I was greeted by a narrow and very dark road. There are a few lamps hanging on each wall but most of it has no light.
I thought I would be deafened by the silence as I approached death but every time I took a step I heard the sound of the chain on my feet symbolizing that I am a princess who is not free.
"Walk faster!" shouted the soldier whose blood was still hot for me. he snatched it from the soldier who was holding the chain and pulled it towards me causing me to fall again.
"What the hell?! Fix your work! We're the ones the council will find out about what you're doing!" they are already fighting over who will hold my chain.
I shook hard in the middle as my eyes darkened and narrowed. My eyes as red as blood, my eyes full of fury, rage and anger.
The two soldiers who were arguing were both stunned while staring at my eyes.
"It's true what I hear about the Gazellian's eyes.."
"Are you worthless? It's me! Do you want us to be beheaded too?!" said the third soldier irritably.
"Stand up..." it was cold to me. I slowly stood up without even removing my red eyes.
We continued walking until we arrived in front of a huge door. Is this it? Is this the door of death?
I thought it was over, but another prison opened up to me, surrounded by small prisons of a hundred vampires who were just as guilty as I was. A loud shout rang out when they all saw me.
"Traitor!"
"Plague!"
"You are a shame to our race!"
"Wise princess!"
"Behead!"
Instead of lowering my head, I courageously raised it to my fiery and burning eyes. I slowly looked at every prison I passed.
suddenly all the vampires in the prison were silent and their knees lowered along with their heads. The soldiers stopped walking because of the sudden change in the surroundings.
"What is happening to the prisoners?"
"Inside this prison, among the hundred vampires trapped in this place. Never forget that I am the most powerful..." I said firmly, which is why the three soldiers turned to me at the same time.
"Even if my head is cut off, I swear I will die worshiped by everyone.." I said this with a smile on my lips.
"Princess Esmeralda.." the imprisoned vampires called me at the same time.
"Shall we go?" I asked them. the three soldiers stopped talking and we continued walking.

"Adam..."
"I love you Lily..so much.." my tears started to flow. I want to kiss him for the last time, I want to touch him, I want to feel his arms around me.
"Lily!" I heard Caleb's voice. My eyes widened when I saw all my siblings and even Mother were here. Finn, Evan and Caleb are getting lost being chased by so many vampires.
I also see Orion and some soldiers of their palace. Clifford who was staring at me coldly, his twin brothers were also here. The different councils of each empire. the thirteen Viardellon brothers, the Le'Vamuievos except for Rosh and even the entire family of the rulers of Trafadore.
