The wind embraces my skin with the smell of autumn dancing in the breeze..

"Dastan.." I tightened my hug to him.

"Go, run. I promise I will follow.." he tried to loosen my hug from him. I noticed that he was staring at Adam.

"Let's go Lily.." Adam pulled me from Dastan.

"I love you brother.." Dastan smiled at me before he rushed at the rival vampires again.

"Ride on my back.." Adam immediately turned into a wolf so I rode behind him. Orion and Clifford also got on their horses. Until now the question is still why they help us.

"Why are you helping us? Why are you helping us?" I asked them both.

"I love you, isn't that enough?" Orion asked me.

"I thought it was just about my throne. But no, maybe I do love you. I don't want you to die.." Clifford said softly. Their horses ran ahead of us.

"I hate them Lily.." Adam said immediately.

Adam and I ran but I knew there were vampires following us so I was doing everything to poison them before they finally caught up with us.

Clifford and Orion do the same to the vampires who meet us.

"Fuck!" I was cursed when three people rushed at me and Adam. I see Orion and Clifford want to help us but they are too busy with the vampires they are currently fighting.

i heard Adam's loud howl, he stopped running and faced the three vampires who were tailing us. I stayed on top of him with my fangs bared and my eyes red.

"Are you okay Lily?" asked Finn who was also on his horse. Following this were Evan and Caleb who were laughing loudly.

"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING PRACTICE CALEB? YOU STUPID!" Evan and Finn shouted at the same time.

"The tunnel Lily!" shouted Orion. I exhaled my thick smoke.

"Fvck! If they speed up, they'll catch up with us. You go first.." Evan stopped his horse which made my eyes widen. what is he saying to leave?!

"What? No! No! You'll go with us Evan! What will leave you behind?! No!" I shouted.

"Let's go Lily.." Finn and Caleb's horses stuck to Adam and me.

"This is Dastan's order, we need to get you back to Parsua because our strong defense is here. they will also follow us.." I looked at Evan who smiled at me before he faced the approaching vampires. Why did Dastan give me this same smile earlier?

"But, I don't want anyone to leave us.." I begged Finn and Caleb who remained silent. I started crying again because of what was happening, I don't want a brother to be left behind in a battle.

when we were far away, I was immediately surprised when the smoke that enveloped me disappeared. Where's the smoke I blew out?

"What's wrong?" I asked myself.

"What happened?" asked Clifford. while I tried to use my power, the vampires gradually came out in different directions.

Adam and Finn and Clifford's horses ran together.

"No! you can't escape!" I gasped as the vampire immediately approached me but both Orion and Caleb blocked it.

Finn and Clifford easily knocked out its fellow vampires before we ran at breakneck speed.

Another one behind my brother I left behind. my eyes couldn't stop crying.

"Are we doing this right? More sentient life..." I said softly as we continued to run.

"Will you not trust the decision of our king who is now fighting for your life Lily?" I was stunned by what Finn said.

"I admire your brother Lily. He's really a king.."

"He's the wise king of all Lily. Our brother who can do everything just for us. He won't give up on you, we won't give up on you.." Finn said sparingly. I just stared at my brother.

Now I want to shout how happy I am to be born a Gazellian. I am surrounded by my brothers who are full of love.

"I guess your family is different from other vampire families Lily, I'm happy you come from this kind of family.."

"Yes, we are different Adam.." I answered him.

Another group of vampires came and this time it was Finn who blocked.

"Put the tunnel out.." Clifford said. I took out my smoke again and we quickly crossed it. There are also vampires waiting for me and even soldiers from other empires are here too.

"I guess this is my time.." Clifford said sparingly.

"Clifford..."

"Go, leave now. Lobo, take care of the princess. I love her.." I couldn't say what Clifford said while Adam was snarling in anger.

"Let's go Lily.." Adam ran again but I immediately spoke to Clifford.

"Take care of yourself Clifford. thank you very much.."

"Yes and I won't ever forget the softness of your lips Esmeralda.." I heard Adam's growl.

"I'll kill him the next time we meet..." I didn't answer Adam. Many tried to chase us but Clifford didn't give in.

Adam ran even faster especially when there were big birds in the air with so many vampires following us. Most of them are already raining arrows on us. I tried to use my power to protect Adam.

"Lily, look.." I was horrified to see all the soldiers waiting, the huge cannons, warriors with bows and swords and even the knights of Parsua Sartorias, Deltora, Avalon and even Trafadore.

I started another war. Little by little, the whole of Parsua had a magical barrier.

"We're close, we're close Adam.." I said tearfully.

My chest was pounding as those who followed our vampire began to argue. There are so many of them and we will meet most of them. I can't handle their numbers but I have to fight for the vampires to help us all. I opened my two hands to meet the vampires.

"Keep running Adam.." I said seriously. I let my long hair blow wildly with my arms outstretched.

My eyes are now glowing with my fangs aching for battle.

"I am always with Lily.." I took a deep breath at what Adam said. he ran faster as smoke came out of my hands.

"We'll fight together Adam.."

"Always.."

Adam and I both rushed forward, I jumped from behind him and we now had our backs to each other. five vampires rose into the air and choked on my fumes until they could not breathe. The vampires' heads were constantly spinning due to Adam cutting them.

Suddenly, something penetrated behind me. And I willingly spewed my own blood.

"Lily!" I thought I was going to fall completely when Adam grabbed me. He howled loudly as he tried to run as fast as he could. even though I was weak I could see the vampires chasing us, I forced myself to remove the arrow embedded in my stomach despite its pain and agony.

"A..dam.." I coughed up blood again. He has a right foot.

"They're here.." I whispered as the vampires got closer to us. Most of them are in the air and have arrows to hit us.

"A..dam.." I tried to use my power but I had no strength left. the arrow will hit both of us, we have done everything but why does it still end here?

I hugged Adam very tightly, the lost blood from my body was flowing through his fur.

I waited for an arrow to hit us but I couldn't feel anything. when I tried to peek at the vampires who were close to us, they had already pierced their hearts with the sharp roots of a type of plant.

"Rosh.." I just said. I tried to raise my eyes beyond my weak body.

as we were getting closer to the border of Parsua I could see more and more which vampire was leading all the soldiers, warriors and knights who were waiting for me. The second prince of Deltora who stood majestically in the middle of them all.

I looked behind us, there were too many vampires following us coming from the sky. Parsua's strong vampires were able to block them, but they still couldn't be stopped with their numbers.

"Come on faster!" I heard Rosh shout. His arms were spread out as if he was waiting for me.

"You need to get inside sweetheart. I love you so much.." Adam suddenly threw me very hard and Rosh's arms quickly grabbed me.

And tears flowed again in my eyes. they prepared everything well just to save my life. One of Rosh's hands went up and he casually dropped it as he shouted.

"I GOT HER! NOW FIRE!"
