I got angry the moment Pavel slapped Tanakorn, and not just that, the words that came out from Pavel's mouth. I had no other choice but to drag him away from Tanakorn until we were out of sight. I ordered a taxi and pushed him in without saying a word.
I didn’t want to argue with my boyfriend in a public space, so I would save it until we got home.
I noticed his eyes were still blazing with rage with his legs properly crossed. A lot of thoughts crossed my mind, and I just hoped the ex-lover he talked about was not Krittanai.
We finally got to the house, and I locked the door immediately.
“Why did you do that to my friend?” I yelled at him.
“Well, I’m not sorry I did that. Your friend actually deserves it, and I would hit him over and over again,” he yelled back.
“Pavel, what the hell is your problem? And are you still in love with your ex? And what does Krittanai have to do with all these? Please make everything make sense, Pavel, I’m already losing my mind.” My hands went through my hair over and over again. I was still trying to comprehend what happened.
Pavel kept quiet without saying a word, but he was still fuming in anger.
He finally broke the silence, saying, “Krittanai is my first lover... I literally did everything with him, and it’s difficult to just move on from him just like that... I fucking need time, and that doesn’t mean I don’t love you.”
“What? So all this time I thought I was the only one in your heart... Pavel, you hurt me...” Tears gathered in my eyes. I got broken all over again.
“I love you, Tang, but the rage from seeing the person who ruined my previous relationship was alarming. I’m so sorry.” He tried to touch me, but I stopped him.
“Show me a picture of your ex-lover. Let’s start from there...”
“Is that necessary?”
“Pavel, show me a picture of your ex. Don’t make me ask a second time.”
“Fine.” He slowly brought out his phone, his fingers flying across his screen.
“That’s him.” The moment my eyes landed on the picture of Pavel and his ex-lover, my jaw dropped.

My knees weakened to the ground. Tanakorn never mentioned Krittanai to be his lover. All this while, he had secretly been dating him? What kind of a fool am I? Can I handle the truth? I had to press on and face the hurt later.

I let out a brief laugh. “You mean Krittanai? The rookie? That’s not true at all. He helped me once, and I met his mother who works as a nurse.”

“WHAT?” My mouth hung wide open, trying to process all this information.
“He was bored, and his uncle wanted Tanakorn's parents' downfall. He loved his uncle dearly, so he accepted. You were part of his script; he used you to get close to him.”
“Let me guess, you were also staged in my life, right? All this was a façade? You never loved me, right? I guess I’m such a fool.” I gave up. I couldn’t handle this anymore. I wanted to leave.
