Chapter 113

Tanakorn’s POV

“Wait a moment, is there another Warut I have no idea about?”

“It’s the same Warut, the basketball player, your friend,” he added, but it only worsened everything for me. I was actually finding it hard now to even believe what he was saying.

“But how is that possible? Were you two in a secret relationship?” I inquired.

“Well, I didn’t know how it happened, but after the time I told you about seeing someone like him at the party, I decided to run my private check. We had our arguments and all, but that day we were both vulnerable and it happened... Warut is a sweet guy, but I couldn’t have all his heart because he still has feelings for you.” He paused, the tears running down. “Let’s save the love story for another time, so Tanakorn, please let him out... I beg of you... He wasn’t the one that raped you that night, I must assure you.”

“So he told you.” My mood suddenly got ruined.

“Yes, I’m sorry I mentioned it and sorry about what happened, but we should be looking for the rapist and not locking up the innocent,” he said, and deep down, I felt the same way. Arresting Warut—and yet a part of me does not believed he was the one who raped me that night, but it had to be him. All evidence pointed to him.

“I’m sorry, but he did. Even the waiter from that night confessed he was paid by him.”

“That’s what the rapist wants you to believe... Whoever the rapist is, is a psycho and probably sees Warut as a threat around you.”

“Well, I’m late for class. You should get on your feet because there is nothing I can do right now. Besides, I never mentioned to the officer about the rape. He got arrested for a past crime with the use of hard drugs and I also heard he did use drugs again. I’m sorry I can’t help.”

I turned around ready to leave when he grabbed my wrist. “The police said you filed for rape, that’s why he is still in custody.”

“That’s not true at all. I never mentioned that.”

“Please help me... I really need Warut, captain... Please don’t turn me down.”

“There is nothing I can do and I never made that report. I’m sorry your love story ended that way.” I walked away, still in shock thinking about everything.

“There you are.” Jimmy popped up, looking so beautiful with his pink hair color.

“Jimmy!!” I hugged him. At least something to uplift my mood.

“I made you some cupcakes.”

“Really? You're the best...”

“Did I just hear cupcakes? I want one too,” Tang joined, but I held it firm. “Ain’t no way I’m sharing.”

“Then I will take it myself.” Tang tried to get it, and I ran off. Just like that, my mood of joy took over, and Jimmy said, “I’m glad you got your spark back. He would be happy wherever he is.” I didn’t understand what he meant, but he actually made mention of the truth—I was no more the cold Tanakorn everyone knew, and it was all thanks to my secret lover.

I had a great day today and training also went well, but guess what? The moment I got to the dorm, I found Krit already making dinner as promised. I love him so much and I do not think I will ever get tired of loving him. He happens to be the best gift life gave to me.

“Smells so nice.” I hugged him from behind, kissing his cheek.

“That’s because I’m a great chef. Luckily, I’m good at learning because I ended up having a foodie as a lover.” He faced me and kissed my cheek, then my nose... my forehead... my lips before the eskimo kiss.

“I love you so much, Krittanai.”

“I love you too, Tanakorn.” He reached for my lips and kissed me slowly, then hugged me with his hands caressing my back. “Now go have your shower while I continue cooking.”

“Sure.” Taking some steps to the room, I stopped, turning around. “That reminds me, the police arrested Warut because of the drug case, right?”

“Yes. Did anything take place?”

“Not at all. Just wanted to be sure. I will have my bath now,” I added.

Maybe Chad was mistaken, because none of us ever told the police about the rape. Taking off my clothes and walking into the bathroom with the shower turned on, soaking my hair, the question lingered in the air... If Warut wasn’t the one who raped me, then who? There is no way it’s Tang...

At the locker room after training, I sat with Tang as we both consumed the bottles of water in our hands.

“This feels refreshing,” I stated.

“Yes, it does. I forgot to mention Natee left the team.”

“What?”

“Yeah, and I think I know why.”

“Well, he wants to date Krittanai, that’s why, so maybe he thinks once he is out he would be able to win him over... one of the dumbest ideas so far because Krittanai loves his partner more than gold,” I said effortlessly, knowing Krit loved me with all his heart and would never have anything to do with Natee.

“You sound as though you know Krittanai's lover?”

“Just making a guess.”

“I see, but that’s not the reason.”

I raised my left eyebrow. “Then what other reason?”

“Arnold likes him, and I think they want to give it a trial, though he is still playing hard to get.”

“Hum? What the hell is happening to our team? Everyone is secretly dating someone.” Well, I was guilty as well, but I needed to be more conscious.

“Well, they are not breaking the rules, that’s the main thing.” A text message popped up on his phone. He read it with so much joy and got on his feet.

“Where are you heading to, looking all excited?”

“My lover is here... come with me so I can introduce you both.”

“Sounds like a plan,” I said, getting myself ready, and left with him.

Seeing Tang’s lover, I was wowed... he was really cute, and I finally understood why Tang kept going crazy about him. He hugged him and kissed his cheek. “Tanakorn, this is my boyfriend, Pavel. Pavel, this is my best friend and captain, Tanakorn.”

“Nice to meet you, Pavel. You really look cute, no wonder my friend can’t stop talking about you.” I stretched forth my hand, expecting the same response from him, but his smile got replaced with hatred, as though we both had a pending issue going on.

“So it’s you.”

“Pardon?”

“You are the pest,” he said loudly.

“Love, please be nice to him...” Tang tried to calm him down. I racked my brain for some seconds; I had never seen him before, so why was he upset with me?

“You might be mistaking me for someone else.”

He suddenly slapped me hard on my face. “You asshole!” he yelled. Tang held him close, begging him to stop and also pleading with me not to get angry at him.

“You're the bastard who stole Krittanai from me... You ruined my happy relationship with him.”

“WHAT?” My eyes widened in shock.

“Here is a piece of advice, you asshole: he doesn’t love you at all. You were just the right tool he needed to use, and it’s working so well. I’m the only one who knows him so well, loser...”

“Enough, Pavel. You're coming with me.” Tang dragged him away, and I remained stunned... What did I just hear?
