Chapter 67 Plan Succeeded

As Cassidy approached the car Easton had arranged, her palms started to sweat, and nerves crept in. She worried the plan might fail, but she kept her face calm.

Suddenly, a commotion erupted behind her, a mix of sounds creating a significant distraction that could potentially divert the driver sent to pick her up.

In a flash, another car sped past Cassidy and pulled her inside!

Cassidy's heart raced. Even though she knew the chaos behind her was Owen's doing, and the person who had appeared so suddenly was Owen, she was still startled.

"Sorry, did I scare you?"

Owen handed her a handkerchief with great care. "Easton is super vigilant. If I didn't do this, there wouldn't be another chance to get you out."

Cassidy shook her head slightly, indicating she was fine.

She understood this too. Owen must have thought of many ways to help her, but they could only seize the moment when she was switching cars. Only then could Owen successfully take Cassidy away.

Cassidy sat in the car for a while, her nerves slowly calming down.

The scenery outside the window kept changing, and Cassidy couldn't believe she had actually escaped from Easton's grasp!

Thinking about all the preparations she had made for her survival after leaving, Cassidy suddenly felt a great sense of relief.

"Owen, thank you for taking such a big risk to help me."

Owen shook his head with a smile. "Cassidy, I told you, no matter what you need, I'll help you."

The love in Owen's eyes was so evident, like a flame that threatened to scorch Cassidy's heart. She suddenly felt a bit scared to continue looking into Owen's eyes and hastily shifted her gaze.

Owen seemed to realize his gaze had frightened Cassidy. He lowered his head slightly, hiding the love in his eyes, pretending nothing had happened, and not letting Cassidy see the sadness rising in his heart.

"Cassidy, what are you planning to do next?"

She could hear the worry in his voice.

"I've wanted to leave for a long time, so I started preparing early. Owen, you don't need to worry about me. I'll be fine."

As long as she could leave Easton, she would be fine no matter where she went.

"Okay, I know you'll be fine."

Owen gently repeated Cassidy's words, not letting her hear the disappointment in his voice.

What he really wanted to ask wasn't whether she would be fine. Cassidy was a determined girl, and he believed she would overcome any difficulties she encountered.

What he really wanted to ask was where she planned to go after leaving Easton.

What he really wanted to ask was if he could visit her in the future, even if it was just from a distance.

But he didn't ask anything.

Maybe Cassidy wanted to escape not just from Easton, but from the entire Cooper family.

If that was the case, then perhaps he was also someone Cassidy wanted to escape from.

Since Cassidy wanted to sever all ties with the Cooper family, maybe he shouldn't disturb her life anymore.

Cassidy didn't know what Owen was thinking. At this moment, she was still immersed in the excitement of having escaped Easton's control.

Easton was very sharp. If he didn't see her soon, he might suspect something. She had to leave his control before he noticed anything.

She had to move quickly and get out of here as fast as possible!

The car grew quieter and quieter, so quiet that she could only hear the breathing of the person next to her.

Cassidy suddenly remembered something.

What if it was discovered that Owen had helped her?

Would Easton go after Owen?

If Easton really went after Owen, wouldn't that mean she had caused Owen harm?

Cassidy's heart suddenly filled with panic.

"Owen, what if Easton finds out you helped me?"

"If he knows I escaped with your help, he won't let you off!"

Given Easton's ruthlessness, Cassidy even suspected that if Easton found out everything, he might cripple Owen, making him like Declan, someone who could only spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair!

Seeing Cassidy so worried about him, Owen smiled. "Cassidy, don't worry. I won't be in danger."

"Easton wants you to disappear quietly, so he'll destroy all the surveillance along the way."

"Without surveillance, no one will know where you went."

Owen seemed to have already anticipated Easton's anger, and his smile grew even more pronounced.

"But he'll find a way to figure it out."

"But he won't have any evidence to prove it was me."

At this point, Owen laughed self-deprecatingly. "Although I'm theoretically one of the heirs, everyone knows the family head will only be chosen between Easton and Ryder."

"To Easton, I'm just a harmless brother. As long as he can't find evidence, he won't touch me."

Owen's words reassured Cassidy.

She thought about it and realized Owen was right.

Without evidence, Easton couldn't harm his brother. If he attacked Owen without reason, he might lose his chance to inherit the family head position.

He would never hand the position over to Ryder.

With this in mind, Cassidy relaxed a bit.

After relaxing, she became curious about Owen's plan.

She only knew Owen would take her away when she switched cars, but she didn't know the specifics.

When Cassidy curiously asked Owen, he smiled shyly. "I hired some homeless people to start a fight."

"They called in a lot of people, causing a big commotion, and I took the opportunity to get you out."

"Won't they sell you out?"

"No." Owen shook his head lightly. "The person who made the deal with them wasn't me. Even if Easton finds out the fight was arranged, he won't trace it back to me."

"I see."

Cassidy sighed. She had always thought Owen was just a young boy, carefree in school.

Even though he lived in a dangerous family like the Coopers, she didn't think he would grow up to be as dangerous as Easton.

But she hadn't expected him to come up with such a meticulous plan in such a short time.

If the Cooper family didn't have Easton and Ryder, maybe when Owen grew up, he would become an excellent family head.

But all of this was just Cassidy's fantasy. The reality was that the Cooper family would never be inherited by Owen.

"Cassidy, I wish you a life you want in your new environment."

"I wish you happiness, free from the troubles of the past."

Owen suddenly turned to Cassidy, speaking his most sincere wishes with a genuine tone.

"I hope you can always be happy, always be joyful, and stay away from all worries."

Cassidy felt warmth in her heart, and her smile became even brighter.

"I will, Owen. I'll carry your blessings and live a happy and joyful life."
