Chapter 51 Brothers Fighting

After hanging up, Cassidy turned to Easton and asked, "Did something happen between you and Owen?"

Easton just shook his head. "Nope."

Cassidy thought it was odd, but Easton nudged her into the car. "You'll find out when we get back."

Cassidy couldn't shake the worry that her rejection had upset Owen, and she fretted about it the whole ride.

Easton, on the other hand, had a hunch that whatever Owen wanted to discuss had a lot to do with Cassidy.

When they got back to the Cooper Villa, Owen was already waiting at the door. Easton had a bad feeling about the upcoming conversation.

"Easton," Cassidy grabbed his arm as he was about to get out of the car, "make sure you talk it out and don't get into a fight."

Easton, guessing what she was worried about, gave her a reassuring smile. "Don't worry."

But Cassidy wasn't convinced. She had a gut feeling that whatever Owen wanted to talk about wasn't going to be simple.

"I'll handle it," Easton said, patting her hand. She reluctantly let go.

Owen saw their interaction. He couldn't hear what they said, but he had a pretty good idea.

As Easton got out, Cassidy followed. Owen's eyes were glued to Cassidy, like he wanted to rush over and talk to her, but he turned to Easton instead and called him away.

Cassidy watched them walk off, feeling uneasy.

They stopped in the garden, and Easton waited for Owen to speak.

Owen was on edge, trying to figure out what had gone down between Easton and Cassidy. He suspected Easton had taken advantage of her, especially since Easton was the only one who had protected her after Ashton's death. The thought made him furious.

After a moment, Owen cautiously asked, "Easton, what's going on between you and Cassidy?"

Easton looked him straight in the eye, his calm gaze making Owen tense up.

Owen thought his question was fair, but in that brief eye contact, he felt like Easton had already figured out his real intentions.

"You want to know if Cassidy and I are together?" Easton said bluntly.

Owen's eyes widened, and he clenched his fists.

Easton ignored his reaction and just smiled. "Yeah, we're together."

"Easton, you jerk!" Owen lunged at him, grabbing his collar. "How could you do that to her?"

Easton looked puzzled, pulling away from Owen's grip. "Why are you so worked up?" He took off his tie and said calmly, "It's normal for us to be together. I'm planning to marry her."

"Marry?" Owen echoed in disbelief. He swung his fist, but Easton caught it. "Easton! How can you say that? You forced her into this. You don't deserve to marry her!"

Owen was seething with rage, convinced that Easton had taken advantage of Cassidy's vulnerable situation. He wanted to knock some sense into Easton and make him give up on marrying Cassidy. The anger in his eyes made it hard to believe they were brothers.

Hearing this, Easton laughed. "I'm not worthy? And you think you are?"

Owen charged at Easton, and they were soon grappling fiercely. In that moment, they weren't brothers; each punch landed hard.

"Easton, you haven't thought about her at all! Do you realize what your actions will do to her?" Owen shouted.

'If the family finds out about Easton and Cassidy, how will they see her? What will people think if it goes public? People were already gossiping about Cassidy at the Moore wedding. If their relationship is exposed, how will she survive in high society?' Owen was furious at the thought of Cassidy being tormented by the elite because of Easton; he wanted to tear him apart.

"You don't love her at all!" Owen yelled.

Easton dodged Owen's punches, sneering. "What right do you have? You think I don't know you like her? Have you ever thought about confessing to her? What have you done for her?"

Owen's fighting skills were no match for Easton's, and he quickly fell behind. But he refused to give up, throwing punches with all his might.

"Your feelings for her aren't love!" Owen roared, eyes red. "If you really loved her, you wouldn't have done those things in the lounge! Everything you did was caught on camera! Do you know what would happen if those videos got out?"

Owen was relieved it was he and his friends who saw the video and destroyed it. Cassidy's face was clear in the footage. If it got out, the rumors and gossip would be unbearable. "You don't respect her at all. To you, she's just a tool!"

Easton hadn't expected there to be surveillance. Hearing Owen's words, he was stunned and forgot to defend himself.

Owen's fist connected with his face. Overwhelmed with rage, Owen landed several harsh blows, his eyes blazing.

Easton frowned, genuinely surprised about the cameras. If he'd known, he wouldn't have done anything with Cassidy there.

Easton blocked Owen's fist, grabbed his arms, and pinned him down. "Owen, where's the surveillance? You better delete it all!"

Pinned down, Owen's attitude remained hostile. He snorted, "I've already dealt with it! By the time you found out, those videos would have spread!"

The release of the Cooper family's head's sex tape would create an uncontrollable crisis, something both of them knew all too well.

Soon, the servants noticed the fight in the garden. Seeing it escalate, they ran to inform Cassidy.

Cassidy had just changed. Hearing the servant's report, she quickly threw on some clothes and ran to the garden. "What's happening? Why are they fighting?"

The servant looked concerned but shook his head. "I'm not sure, Mrs. Cooper. They were already fighting when I got there."

Cassidy, worried, rushed to the garden to find out for herself.
