Chapter 108 Chapter 108
Chapter 108 Chapter 108
"I'm sorry."
He lifted a brow in confusion. "What for?"
"I, uh..." I indicated the plate. "My messy eating."
He chuckled. “There's no need to be sorry for that. Between you and me, Klaus is a messier eater.”
“That's a terrible lie.” Klaus walked up to us. “I'm more put together than that.”
"C-can we quit talking about my eating skills?" I asked timidly.
"Sure. There are better thing to discuss, after all." As he said that, Klaus looked at his brother. "Well?"
They had a look exchanging contest for a few seconds before Kieran sighed. “Fine, fine.”
“Is everything alright?" I looked at them worriedly.
“Oh no, yeah. Everything's fine.” Klaus had folded his arms. “It's nothing big.”
"We...we're going to have to ask you to run away from here," Kieran said.
"Um..."
"I wanted to personally escort you to Aiden's home," he explained. "But there are some things we need to take care of, and we're relatively sure you can handle yourself."
"But I...I'd feel safer if-"
"We'd take you to the edge of the woods, but no deeper. And Kieran would make sure no rogue can touch you. That's as much as we can do for you right now." Klaus had a nonchalant look on his face as we spoke.
"I don't want to leave!"
The two men stared at me in surprise. Then Klaus let out a disgruntled sound. "You have got to be kidding me." Kieran, on the other hand, looked intently at me. “It's going to be dangerous, Daisy.”
"I know."
“I don't think you do.” Klaus' face was scarily close to mine, his eyes dark. “We're going to deal with Leon, Daisy. We're going to make him talk and reveal his grand plan. It might get violent. You might be caught in the crossfire ...you might die.”
I blinked. “I'm alright with that. I want to see Leon go down too."
His eyes widened. "You- oh, fuck it."
"Well then," his brother said, looking at me with a hint of pride in his gaze. “I guess we have no other choice." Klaus hissed and turned away.
Over an hour later we were in an apartment. I was disguised as an attendant, and Kieran was punching the life out of Leon, who was already bloodied.
Klaus and I were a few meters away, a mildly disgusted look on his face as blood splattered over the wall.
"What other plan do you have, you dog? And where the hell is Aaren?!" Kieran yelled as he punched Leon's jaw. In response, Leon groaned and spat in Kieran's face, enraging the rogue. In few seconds, the disloyal Beta's arm was torn off, eliciting a large roar from him.
I kept watching, afraid but filled with joy as I watched Leon get pummeled to death.
All of a sudden, the door was thrown open, and there stood Aiden in all of his glory. He wasn't looking at me, but at the rogue leader as he continued to punch Leon without a care in the world.
Overjoyed, I was about to run to my owner screaming his name, but froze when I heard the gurgling sound. And Klaus screaming.
For Aiden was no longer at the door. Instead he was holding Kieran's head, which was now separated from his bloodied neck.

Aiden's POV::
"I'd be gone a few days," I informed the head maid of the pack house, who nodded fearfully.
A few minutes later I was on the road to California, planning for the events that would take place there. For one thing, I had to meet with Leon to know what the next line of action would be. Daisy had disappeared to goodness knows where, and whoever had taken her definitely knew how to hide.
I was going to kill them when I found them. Torture them first, make them beg for mercy, then serve them death on a spiked platter.
It was afternoon when I arrived at the inn Leon told me he was at, and I had just parked my car in a sheltered spot when I saw the strange car in front.
Odd.
Very few people knew about this inn. In fact, it was built specifically for my and the pack's business. And everyone was registered by a particular kind of vehicle so we knew who was friend and who was foe.
I didn't recognize this one.
Curious but alert, I walked towards the inn, careful to not notify anyone of my presence by pulling in my Alpha pheromones.
Then, I heard it. Low, but loud enough for my ears to pick.
A groan.
Then another groan.
And another.
I frowned. Was Leon fucking another woman again?
I continued forward, but paused abruptly when I heard the roar. Then the smell of blood wafted into my nostrils.
Leon.
It took like than a minute to get to the door of the room he told me he'd lodged in and throw it open.
The sight before my eyes caused me to see red.
Kieran was punching Leon repeatedly, and my Beta's body was bloody.
What was Kieran doing here? His job was to find Daisy. He was to look for her, while Leon stayed here, looking for Aaren.
If Kieran was here, then that meant only one thing. He didn't want Leon to find Aaren.
"You fucker," I growled.
A minute later, I stared at the head in my hand for a few seconds, the world stopping around me so I could process
my actions.
What had I just done?
It'd been a blur. I'd seen him on Leon, and I'd leapt. The slashing of his head, the shock on his face when he saw me on him- there were events that seemed to occur in just a split second.
Because how on earth had I just killed the man I promised to partner with in bringing down a common enemy?
Someone swore, and I finally raised my head, to see that Leon and Kieran hadn't been the only ones in the room. There was a female, who seemed frozen to the spot, and Kieran's brother who I'd seen briefly at the rogue leader's abode.
Well, former rogue leader, now that I thought about it.
"He believed in you," was all Klaus said.
I looked up. "What?"
"He believed in a fucker like you!"
As he said that, he lunged for me, and I barely managed to get out of the way. Though I felt bad, I was angered that a mere wolf like him was trying to fight with me, and I punched him before he could recover from his mid-air
flight.
"Get out," I growled. “Get the fuck away from here."
He seemed to want to say something else, but instead he clenched his fist and spat on the floor. I held my wolf back from tearing him apart for his insolence, choosing to follow his exit with my eyes instead.
The severed head I carried seemed to weigh more now, and I let out a strangled sound before dropping it to the floor. That was when I heard a shriek from the woman, and with a single look from me, she fled from the room.
"B-boss," Leon's weak voice came from his battered body. "You...thank you."
"Don't mention it," I said, but it was as though someone else was speaking from within me. Kieran's head had rolled such that his eyes were facing up, and they were looking straight at me.
I closed mine and softly kicked the head away.
It wasn't my fault. He'd been attacking my Beta. He knew better than to attack my Beta.
I paused, the thought going through my head again. Truly, he knew better than to attack my Beta. Many people had tried coming after me for years, but Kieran was smart. He knew the background story, and he wouldn't dare to do something as foolish as beating up my subordinates if he wanted to get my attention. He could come to me at any time, without caring of the consequences.
