Chapter 34

Rowan badged into Leticia's office without knocking, and with a startled look, the young lady lifted her head to meet the man's troubled eyes.

Rowan had been working on the latest manuscript to be published, the author's book is a banger and will make a great sell.

But all of a sudden, he had only Leticia's image come to his mind and will not concentrate on work. He frowned knowing that he had to get here first.

"Is anything the matter, Sir?" she asked naively, those big coffee brown eyes of hers looming around his face.

Leticia knew we had to keep her voice low from alarm, but he trouble wondered why the man had come to her all of a sudden. It was still working hours, and her strict boss wouldn't want anyone in another worker's office unless it was the secretary, or something really important.

"Nothing," he said his voice as hoarse as never before.

"Then why did badge into my office like you were expecting to catch me doing something bad?" the young lady asked roughly.

Rowan's eyes loomed lazily across the lady's body, it was insane, he locked the door behind him as he crossed the short distance to her desk.

Leticia could see the lust buried in her boss' eyes, they were strictly there, it reminded her of the time when she was kissed by her high school lover, he had looked at her this way, although not exactly, it is very close to this, oh yes! it is.

"Don't I have the right to go to every office in this building? in case you have forgotten, this is my company," he said snapping at her to consciousness.

Leticia blinked once, and then, she frowned, whatever she was going to say next was truncated by the fact that Rowan had rounded her desk with quick air and was now close to her body.

"Mr. Rowan..." she said standing upwards.

She regretted her action, Rowan just had to dig his head close to hers and their faces were brushed against one another.

Leticia's breath was caught in her throat, her big wide eyes shut closed as the man dug his head even closer.

She took a deep breath and inhaled his manly cologne, it was intense, she sniffled it, and when he took her into his mouth, she moaned.

The kiss was intense, she followed her instincts and bruised her hands across his neck, that was special, she had not expected the man to be this sweet on her.

When he parted his lips, his voice was one of longing, he used his forefinger and index finger to get a solid hold of her chin, forcing her to look up at him. When she did, his voice was strong and more of a command.

"Call me Rowan... Now," he blurted out ordering her as well.

Leticia's eyes were definitely going to pop out of their sockets, she could barely think properly, it got her really sick, but what can she do? the millions of butterflies bubbling in her stomach were worth it.

Sighing, she mustered the little courage in her chest and breath out the man's name.

"Rowan," she said weakly.

A sweet sassy smile pulled across the young man's lips, it was a lopsided smile, that one that made a very dangerous air breathe through him. Not quite the ordinary, but it is one thing she enjoys during the most.

"Say it one more time," he said tightening his grasp on her flesh.

Leticia swallowed hard, and then, uttered, "Rowan," in a rasping tone.

This time, Rowan seemed satisfied, he seemed to have the satisfaction he wanted, and he hoped it would stay that way.

Slowing his head until his lips claimed her, he pushed his tongue altogether, seeking for passage which was immediately granted to him.

Rowan tasted the lady's coffee breath, he loved how she winced beneath his touches, it gives him the ultimate sense of revival and dominance.

Leticia was enjoying herself, she loves it when the young man deepens that kiss and for a moment, she thought that her legs were going to give up on her. Well, she failed because it did not, and instead of falling, Rowan's hands caught her securely, making her relax in his arms.

"Gently, babe, I've got you," he said slowly.

Rowan literally enjoyed teasing her.

It is true that she looks just like his late wife, but Rowan has to admit it that the lady has nothing in terms of personality to do with the lady.

She is her own person, when she talks, she seems smart, and not only that, she acts as such.

Rowan shook his head lightly, relieving himself of the woman he had loved so dearly most part of his life. He had wanted to live a forever life with his first wife, to have many children as it was possible with her, and love them equally, but that is not the case.

She was gone too soon, and now, here he is, seeking comfort in her look alike.

In slow resignation, he pulled out his head from the lady's face, staring deep down at her.

Leticia saw that look in his eyes, she knew she knew she had just acted the role of the man's deceased wife to quench his sexual urge.

She got mad, not at the man, but at herself for leading him on.

Pushing her hands in front of her, she placed them gently on Rowan's chest, her eyes burning against his.

"If you do not mind, I have work to do, and I have to complete it before rushing home today," she said.

Rowan understood at once that she had read his mind, he had been so dumb to reveal too much of himself, and he hated his guts so much for causing her so much pain.

"Leticia," he called out faintly.

Leticia was trying hard to suppress her anger against this man, she didn't want to be rude to him, but she could not help it.

"I am nothing like her," she let out and slopped on her chair, focusing on her computer, even though all she saw was a cloud of tears.

Rowan was dumbfounded, but he recovered first. When realization dawned on him, his face was as hard as hell when he spoke to her.

"You look nothing like her, and that is a fact, this, there is nothing to debate about it," he said bluntly.

Leticia knew Rowan was fighting with his wits, she knew she had to give him time, the time he needs to heal, fo accept himself, and not fight her, but she wondered if he would be able to see in another light which is not his late wife's image.

Leticia found out that she had no reasons to gloat over the man doing that, it is just his way to grief out his sorrow.

She tore her eyes from her computer and lifted her head to glare at the man. Her eyes burning through his perfect blue eyes, she felt her throat tighten up, she knew this feeling, it was called love, and although she can deny it, it is present, that is the sentiment she feel towards this man.

"Why are you here then if not to see your late wife's image in me?" Leticia asked her voice as hard as ice.

Rowan knew he had to reply to answer this particular question with a lot of sincerity and he needs to be careful if not he might be leaving this place with a broken nose.

He kept calm, seconds passed, and then, mustering the courage he had in him, he spoke in a sluggish way.

"I came here for you, Leticia. I want you for your person, and not anyone else," he said.

Leticia gasped, she rose from her position and bruised her arms around the man's neck, pulling him down to her soft lips.

Rowan used this as an opportunity to taste her, his strong hands went to her thighs and pulled her upwards, until her slender legs anchored nicely on his waist.

She sighed, the man smiled, his head came powerfully against her full bottom lips. He bit it once, asking for permission to explore her mouth.

Leticia at this point was in the seventh heaven, she threw her head backwards, and her long black hair pushed behind, causing Rowan to use his right hand to scoop a handful, enjoying the silky texture in his hand.

"Everything about you screams perfection, Leticia, and I swear to you, I have never for once think of you as my late wife. No, you might be her carbon print, but you are definitely nothing like her, and that is what I like most about you," he said gently, his lips contacting hers again.

Leticia was going to have a fit if he doesn't stop complimenting her, but he seemed not to notice, he was busy enjoying every tiny bit about her person.
