Chapter 173: Epilogue

Well, I've officially been on this new diet and exercise regime for two weeks now. How am I doing? Better question is: How is my wolf feeling? I don't really know. She isn't talking to me right now. My wolf has decided to take an extended break to rest. I'm not sure if I approve or I'm happy that she's taking time to rest to regain her strength.

It's hard to complete tasks without my wolf to help me. Greyson and Owen help me out a lot with Cassie, Jackie, Brianna, and Joshua. It's not easy handling everything without her assistance. I really didn't understand just how much I relied on her.

It's been a month now since my wolf has been silent or rather given me the silent treatment. She is finally talking to me again. She says shes a little stronger than before but not much. She's ready for a run but she's not sure how far she can run. I told James and Davidson that my wolf wanted to shift and they were overjoyed.

When we shifted, my wolf tackled James' wolf. She was happy to see his wolf once again. Then, when she regained her balance, she tackled Davidson's wolf. She wanted to play in addition to running with them. She missed the joy of playing with her mates. She wasn't able to run for a long time but she was happy to run with her mates once again.

After a short run, we made our way back to the house for a quiet dinner with just the family. I was exhausted but happy at the same time.

'Hey Sandy, did you enjoy your run tonight,' asked Patrick in our family link.

'Why yes I did. Thank you for asking. How's Kacey and Cecelia doing?' I replied back to him.

'They're both doing good. I just wanted to double check on you since your wolf was excited that she was able to shift and run with her mates,' Pat explained.

'Of course she told you all about it too, didn't she?' I teased him.

'You know she did. She tells me everything. Well almost everything. Since your wolf has become weakened, she doesn't share everything with me now,' explained Patrick.

'I love you Pat. I'm glad that you are doing well. Let me know if I can do anything for you and Kacey. Let me know when you can come for dinner. I miss seeing you,' I explained to my twin.

'I know the feeling. I miss you too, Sandy. I'm just glad that you aren't too far away from me. I've got to go but how about we come for dinner tomorrow night? Sound like a plan?' suggested Patrick.

'Sounds like a plan. Love you,' I professed as we closed the link.

As time went by, my wolf remained the same. She didn't get any stronger but she didn't get any weaker either. A chairlift had been installed in our house to help me go up and down the stairs. The girls rode with me so I wouldn't be lonely when I went up and down the stairs-so they said. We would hold each other and enjoy each other's company as we did so. I loved the time I had with my children.

They would be young only once and we were making the most out of it. We started dancing lessons with Greyson and Owen because they were reaching the age where they were about to get their wolf. They needed to be ready for social events and whatnot.

Life as we knew it was changing daily. Our boys were entering High school and we were not ready for that. As I sit in my office and reflect over the years, I can't help but think of how lucky I am to have been mated to James and Davidson. The Moon Goddess truly knew what she was doing when she matched us together. But then, what was my Grandfather thinking when he made those mate contracts? That is when everything went wrong in my life.

The day I was born, Grandpa Orson created the mate contract between Future Alpha Vance and myself. Then, when his gambling got out of control and he couldn't pay off his debts; he did what he did best-He created more mate contracts. He SOLD me to other Alphas. Thus, the problems or rather I should say the death and destruction that ensued for the Rock Canyon Pack. After my 18th birthday, I didn't stand a chance nor my brothers of remaining unscathed in the pack. We were seen as pariah. Outcasts. In our own birth pack.

I can still remember that fateful November Friday morning when I arrived at school from the hospital. James and Davidson approached me with a red rose in hand and both uttered that fateful word, 'MATE.' That one word changed our lives forever. That was when we found out about the mate contract and what my grandfather did when I was born. It set off a domino effect that horrified everyone that came in contact with us.

My life hasn't been all that bad though, I have six beautiful children with James and Davidson. The Rock Canyon Pack has two male Alpha heirs and one female Alpha heir while The Red River Pack has one male Alpha heir and two female Alpha heirs-not bad at all. Our children have taken after us-they excel in their studies and athletics.

Davidson walked into the office with a huge grin on his face. "What are you thinking about my love?" he purred.

"I was just thinking about how wonderful our life has been. How great our children are and how lucky I am to have you and James as a mate," I answered him truthfully.

"We're the lucky ones to have you as a mate. Always have been. How we got so lucky to have you, I don't know. Now then, you need to go get ready for tonight. We are having a banquet tonight to honor our High School Basketball Team for winning the Championship. We cannot be late my dear," advised Davidson.

"I won't make us late. I have never made us late before and I won't start now," I replied as I chuckled at the expression on his face.

"Okay, if you say so. Come on my love, let's go," chuckled Davidson as he gathered me into his arms.

Oh, how I love this man. I wrapped my arms around his neck to capture a quick kiss but David wasn't having it. He wanted a deep, passionate kiss. Okay, I'm down for that.

We finally got ready for the banquet along with the boys. Our younger children were not attending tonight, but they will be soon.

The banquet was a lot of fun for our boys who learned what we do at a banquet. They couldn't wait to tell their brother and sisters all about the banquet the next day. As well as learn how to dance better so they could dance with me. They were so excited. Now they had the extra motivation they needed to take the dance lessons seriously.

Overall, at this point in my life I am pleased with my mates, my children, my family, my packs, and my life in general. Would I have changed anything along the way, sure I would have changed a lot of things but it would have changed who I am today. My mates have always been supportive of me no matter what and have loved me no matter what. The Moon Goddess truly blessed me when she mated me with them and I them. Then, she went and further blessed me with all my wonderful babies-I couldn't have asked more wonderful, loving children than them.

We have two strong future Alphas just like their daddies along with some very talented budding computer programmers, an artist, and even a chef. Their Grandparents are so proud of each and every one of them. I can't wait to see how they blossom and grow up let alone to see who they are mated with in the future.

Yikes, who they will be mated with in the future … I shudder to think of who they will be. Will they be good enough for my babies? We will have to wait and see. Only the Goddess knows the future.

The End ... But is it really?
