Chapter 167: A Time For Healing
It's been six months since the Fall Festival and Sandy's last migraine that caused her to collapse. She's been getting stronger with the new diet that Dr. Waters gave her. Her wolf finally resurfaced two months ago.
Sandra has gotten back to her regular schedule of working with the Red River Pack and the Elementary School. Also, we catch the high school girls' softball games every now and then, Sandy just can't help herself. Old habits die hard for her. When she is around the other packs, especially Rock Canyon Pack members, it seems like everyone is closely watching the interactions between them and Sandy.
Luna Sandra hasn't changed one bit; she continues to exude kindness and compassion to everyone. It doesn't matter what pack you belong to. James seeing a difference in his pack from how they treat each other at pack runs and at other functions decided to hold a Bar-B-Q to see how they would truly interact with each other in an informal way.
The Bar-B-Q was coming up and everything was planned out by Luna Margarite and the other female leaders of the pack. All we had to do was show up and have fun according to James. I was looking forward to seeing how much the pack has changed. I have been seeing snippets of the change in the neutral territory when I interact with different pack members.
The day of the Bar-B-Q was here. James and Davidson decided I needed to wake up gently and with nothing but love. I awoke with sensual sensations along my neck, breasts, lips, and shoulders, and they were trying to go lower but we were interrupted by two very energetic boys pounding on our bedroom door.
"Mommy! Are you awake yet? Daddies? Are you awake?" shouted our children from the other side of our bedroom door.
All I could do was laugh hysterically at them. My mates were trying to have a sexy time, but our children weren't having any of that. They wanted us now. Davidson went over and unlocked the bedroom door and let the four of them in.
"Why was the door locked Daddy?" asked Greyson to Davidson who could only shake his head as he chuckled at his son.
"We were trying to spend some time alone with your Mom without being interrupted," explained Davidson to our children.
"I want to be with Mommy. I want Mommy!" cried Cassie as she ran to the bed with her arms outstretched for a hug.
"Oh, baby girl, come here. Mommy is right here. Come here all of you so I can give you a hug and a kiss. Good morning my beautiful babies. I hope you all slept well last night," I cooed as I hugged and kissed all of them.
"Have you had your breakfast yet?" James asked the boys.
"No sir. We didn't go downstairs yet. The girls wanted to see Mommy so we brought them here first," answered Owen to his Daddy.
"Okay, now that we've said good morning to Mommy, why don't you go downstairs to see Ms. Michaels for breakfast? Let's let your Mommy have some time to get ready, okay?" questioned Davidson to the kids.
"Okay, Daddy. We'll take the girls downstairs for breakfast. We'll see you shortly Mommy and Daddies.
After the boys left with the girls, Davidson stated, "Now where were we?" with a wolfish grin on his handsome face that should be outlawed.
All I could do was laugh at him while James picked up where he left off planting kisses down my neck.
"Mhmm, this feels …" was all I could say before I was interrupted once again.
"Shh, we don't have a lot of time this morning. Just enjoy yourself, baby," James whispered as he kept peppering me with kisses. He was feeling especially frisky this morning.
"As much as I love your kisses and your touch, we need to get ready for the day," I cooed in his arms returning his kisses.
"You're not getting away from us right now. You need to take things slower and easier, doctor's orders," Davidson reminded me with another kiss.
"I know and I will take things easier from now on. My wolf hasn't fully recovered from the forced mate bond snap. I was hoping after we mated again she would get stronger and back to where she was, but she hasn't. Do you think she'll ever get back to where she was ever again?" I asked them while we cuddled.
"I don't know baby. I just don't know. Remember what Dr. Marsh said, 'She thinks that's why you still get the migraines every once in a while.' I hope she'll get stronger, but if she doesn't it's okay. You've got us," James professed as he caressed my arm gently.
We cuddled for a few more minutes before we got out of bed. I got the shower ready. I was joined by James wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my mark. I couldn't help but moan at his sensual assault on my neck.
Before we could wash our bodies, he picked me up and put my back against the tiles. In between kisses, James said, "I just … can't help … myself this … morning. You are so beautiful." With that declaration, he entered me with a deep, quick thrust. James and I had our private one-on-one time in the shower this morning. It was just what I needed this morning.
After we finished our shower, we got dressed. I made sure the children were properly dressed for the Bar-B-Q. Greyson and Owen helped Brianna and Joshua downstairs while I made sure Cassie and Jackie were ready to leave since they were having a hard time getting dressed.
