I LOVE YOU
He needed to see the priestess.
He can't maintain and conceal this anymore, he needs to show this to her.
Adolph got out of the restroom and went over to see the priestess immediately. When he got to her house, she was already outside her gate waiting for him.
"I know what brings you here, my lord."
"I see,' he scoffed. "Do you want to tell me the facts about some fated mate…"
Because that was all she talks about these days and nothing else.
"It's affecting you already and you are seeing the signs and experiencing the consequences already, my lord."
"What the hell are you talking about." He furrowed his brows. "Aren't you supposed to be congratulating me for winning the war, priestess?"
"Nevertheless, that's not why you came here, my lord, that's why I didn't congratulate you."
"Is that an excuse,'
"No, my lord, there can never be any excuses when it comes to you."
"This is so interesting,' he muttered and flinched at the slight pain he felt at his back and the priestess saw his reaction and her eyes almost widened. "So, tell me. What other stuff would have brought me here?"
She trembled a little bit, just at the thought of it. "If you don't bond with your mate soon, my lord, the consequences will be dire."
"I'm not here to talk about some mate, I want to know if I touched something I'm not supposed to or if I encountered a witch during the war…"
"No, that'd not the issue, my lord.'
"Then, what is the issue."
Discerning her utterance, he just comprehended it.
"Cut me some slack, I don't have time for you, I need to see the family doctor to prescribe me some drugs that will solve some of this disease in me and not you telling me…" He almost snapped, he was in deep pain right now.
"Even if he prescribes some drugs for you, it will only suppress it for a while, hold it from eating you up, but it wouldn't wipe out the pain and heal you, completely. It will only make it worse and give it more worthwhile to spread all over your body."
"I don't care…" He snapped.
"My lord,' she called him as he walked away, ignoring and not heeding her advice.
The priestess ran after him. "My lord, don't…"
Adolph held up his hand at her, to halt, "Don't follow me,' he strictly ordered, giving an account of her to stop talking, he ignored her and ambled towards his car and drove to his doctor.
As soon as he got to the hospital, he got down from his car and went straight to the doctor's office ignoring the security man and nurses, saying to him, to wait for the doctor, suddenly he began coughing as blood tumbled out of his mouth, and his hands grew out fangs as he almost clasped his neck. Everyone hurriedly ran towards him to help him as his face went white and blacked out.

Liam got up from the bed, his throat was hurting and itching, making him start coughing so hard. He wanted to spit out his saliva, he took his tissue beside him and spit on it, looking at it, revealing blood. Liam sighed as tears rolled down his face, and began sobbing.
He wiped away his tears with his hand and kept staring at the tissue in his hand, stained with blood. He coughed one more time and spat out some blood again and quickly hid it under his bed, not letting anyone see him.
Why? Why couldn't he just find genuine happiness in his life?
Just why? Why was this happening to him?
Adolph was rushed to the ward as the nurses helped him and examined him, giving a sign for the doctor to arrive immediately to take a look at Adolph because they knew how important he was to the doctor.
Everyone back at the mansion, especially, his family heard about the news and hastily arrived at the hospital to see what was going on.
Lupita was pacing about, worried, anxious about her husband, hoping for him to wake up from his sleep. The doctor, who came out of the VIP ward informed them that they should give him some time to wake up, they were not allowed to see him till he woke up from his sleep and they had no idea when he was going to wake up.
Richard was troubled, but as a man, he didn't want to show how uncertain he also was and kept mute.
Glancing at Lupita, who kept pacing about, made him ask her a question.
"Where are my grandchildren." He questioned. "I hope you didn't tell them about what happened to their father, it will leave them so worried about him.
Lupita twirled her head. "No! No, I didn't tell them such a thing, I didn't want them to be worried either, so, I kept it from them and they are sleeping now."
"Very good." He nodded. "Have you noticed anything strange since you and Adolph came back from the war?"
He inquired. While he was at the audience earlier, he seemed so pale and had also lost some weight. Yes, that was normal, because he had gone for battles before and had come to lose a lot of weight back then. However, this time with Adolph was strange and disturbing and he has never seen him like this before.
Was there something he was also hiding from him?
"No, yes…but I don't know how to explain it for you to understand, but he's been acting strange lately and whenever I ask him what was going on? He wouldn't say anything to me, he will just simply say he is fine. From time to time, I noticed he was losing weight and sweating profusely for some reason and I don't know why that was happening even though the weather was so cold…"
"Could it be he was not feeling well, before he left for battle,'
"I don't know father, yet, I think I'm overreacting, it could be the war troubling him but he has never functioned like this before. Sometimes, he just gets so pale for no particular reason and I don't know what to say about it. Whenever I ask him, he says, I'm fine and tells me not to bother…" Her voice was cracking, almost on the brink of tears, when Richard broke in and told her not to worry.
"Calm down, he is a strong man. He will be fine, he can't get beaten down that easily, trust me when I say everything will be fine, OK?"
Lupita nodded and wiped away her tears which were almost dripping down her eyes. She loved her husband so much and she deeply cares for him and will never allow anyone to take him away from her. But, she just had this feeling, that something was wrong somewhere but she couldn't just grab her hands on it, but she knew that something was not right at all.
They stayed in the hospital for a whole day, still, Adolph didn't wake up and Richard decided to summon the priestess to come to check up on him and to know what was going on with his son.
Adolph, who has been asleep for the past three days finally woke up, the doctor quickly told Richard and Lupita to come to see him and at that moment, tears of joy were on Lupita's face as she sprinted towards the ward, and tightly hugged Adolph.
"I'm so happy, you are awake now, dear. You've been asleep for three days,' she cried and raised herself and faced him, holding his face with both hands. "Are you okay now?" She asked hopefully, even though she knew he was alright.
Adolph smiled as he nodded at her. He wanted to speak but his voice went scratchy, and then he cleared his throat. "I'm fine sweetheart,' he said, raising his hand as he also touched her face and cleaned off her tears. "I'm fine, there is no need to be worried about me now.'
"I'm so happy that you are fine and next time, please don't keep anything away from me.'
Adolph rolled his eyes at her and laughed. "You've started again, babe." He teased him.
"Don't use that to skip my question,' she pinched his arm with the tip of her finger.
"Ouch! What was that for?"
"That's for lying to me and for fainting in the hospital. Come to think of it, what were you doing at the hospital when you said you wanted to use the restroom?' She raised a question.
"I just came to see the doctor, because I was not feeling well and to let him prescribe some drugs for me, that's when I blacked out, sleeping for three days straight, still surprising though." He remarked.
"I'm just glad, but next time, inform me, I will know what to do…"
"I've heard you, darling. I will do whatever you ask ok."
Lupita smiled. "I love you so much, Adolph. You are the best husband in the whole wide world." She said delightedly and took his hand and kissed it.
"I love you more, Lupita and you are the best women in the whole wide world too, I don't ever want to lose you."
