Chapter 45 Gliese Cancri Snake
Camilla had just finished her shower and was staring at the clothes she had prepared that afternoon. She smiled, thinking about the many exciting things that could happen tonight.
She felt a little hesitant, but she had no choice. Everything was wrong, and it felt very strange to her.
She had to meet him tonight; she had to finish her business tonight before the pain came.
Camilla quickly changed into her clothes. The black mini dress was thigh-length and sleeveless, and fit her slender frame perfectly.
For a moment, she stared into the mirror. "I don't know what that man is like, but I'm sure he's attracted to women."
Camilla reconsidered her next move. She didn't have much time, only three hours, and then she would have to return to her room to lock herself away and endure the pain.
She let out a ragged breath and quickly pulled her hair back into a messy bun. Some strands of hair hung loose, making her look slightly seductive.
Camilla spun around in front of the mirror, her bright white skin perfectly complementing the black mini dress. She quickly applied her makeup, not too much, but she did apply a blood red lip color and a slight gloss, reminiscent of always-wet lips.
A few minutes passed quickly, and Camilla was ready to leave and look for the hotel owner. She grabbed the black fan on the table and also carried a small, tan-colored bag.
Camilla took a deep breath; she had to do everything right. Camilla didn't want Danieru to give in to the situation, nor did she want to cause her mother-in-law any pain in their marriage.
Even though she didn't love Danieru, she still had to help him. Camilla remembered that she and Danieru were friends, and they should always help each other.
It was 7:30 PM, and it was the perfect time to assess the situation. Camilla needed to familiarize herself with the environment she was going to play in, and when the game began, she needed to master it.
The woman slowly stepped out, her smile sweet and her gaze sharp. Camilla looked so elegant, every step she took looked very orderly, even the stilettos on her feet didn't make any noise.
It wasn't long before Camilla reached the elevator. She quickly got in, grateful that she was the only one inside.
Camilla regained her composure, calming herself down so she wouldn't be too nervous.
"Huh... why am I so nervous? Damn! That man's face is still in my mind," Camilla muttered.
She stared at the elevator wall, feeling her face was strange tonight. Why did she have to be so uncertain? She didn't like him, but his face kept haunting her.
Was it because she was thinking about him too much? Ah... Camilla bit her lip, she was completely confused now.
Ting ...
The elevator finally stopped, and Camilla immediately exited as soon as the doors opened. She glanced around, noticing the numerous guests in the hotel.
Camilla stepped back. She needed to go to the casino and wait for him there. According to her information, the leader of the Golden Snakes liked to spend time in gambling dens; he was always watching the people playing.
...
Camilla entered a very large room. The place was already very crowded, with people from all walks of life enjoying their time.
The room looked very luxurious. A dragon statue adorned the center of the room, water gushing from its mouth.
Not only that, the lighting was very bright, quite dazzling. She looked up at the ceiling, where a large crystal chandelier hung, with a painting of a small angel above it.
Camilla swept her gaze away, and she clearly saw that many people were already seated at their respective gambling tables.
Taking a deep breath, she stepped back. The place was so vast, she didn't even know where to begin her search. Camilla's eyes stared wildly, hoping to find the person she was looking for.
Brak ...
Camilla closed her eyes, holding her breath. Damn... she'd fallen again, and it was so embarrassing. She felt strange, waiting for a few seconds for her body to hit the floor, but it never happened.
“Miss, we've met twice, and you always bump into me,” someone said.
Camilla opened her eyes, frozen as the man's golden irises stared at her. She felt increasingly nervous, swallowing hard.
This world was truly small, and now she couldn't form any words. The man... the leader of the Golden Snakes she'd been searching for, was holding her from falling.
“Miss, are you okay?”
Camilla came to her senses, stood up, and stared at the man. Ah... why was he so charming? This man was so seductive, and she felt incredibly attracted to him.
“Miss?” the man asked again.
Camilla looked behind him, and she could see an elderly man, around sixty or seventy, standing tall. He was definitely someone quite important.
“Miss?” The man flicked his fingers near Camilla's earlobe.
“A-ah... excuse me.” Camilla smiled awkwardly, steadying her heartbeat.
“Are you okay?” the handsome man asked.
Camilla took a breath. “I-I'm fine. Ah... Sir, may I have a word with you?”
The man considered Camilla's offer, then turned his gaze to the older man behind him.
“Marcus, what's my schedule after this?” he asked.
“Nothing, you've already attended all the meetings.”
Camilla cheered internally; he had time, and she could use it to her advantage.
“Miss, what would you like to talk about?” he asked.
“First, let me introduce myself... my name is Camilla Alistair.” Camilla extended her hand, smiling as he looked at her.
“Gliese Cancri Snake,” the man said without taking Camilla’s outstretched hand.
Camilla clenched her fists, bit her lip, and glanced at him. Damn... why was he staring at her unblinkingly? Was he interested in her?
“What do you want to talk about, Miss?” asked the man named Cancri.
“I want to make a bet with you. If I beat you at Craps, you have to help me and answer all my questions.” Camilla said this in a low voice, glancing at the man named Cancri, feeling annoyed.
Craps is a dice game based on the number seven. Players are required to place their bets on the table and are provided with numerous betting areas.
The Pass Line bet is the main focus of this game. In this bet, players win if they roll a seven or eleven, and lose if they roll a two, three, or twelve.
The Don’t Pass Line bet is the opposite. In this bet, players win if they roll a two, three, or twelve, and lose if they roll a seven or eleven.
When a player places a Field bet, they win if the dice show two, three, four, nine, ten, eleven, or twelve. Two and twelve pay out double.
Camilla closed her eyes for a moment, calming herself and controlling her emotions. The man merely smiled in response to her remark; he seemed to be belittling her, and she was deeply upset.
“What if you lose?” Cancri asked.
Camilla lifted her head, looked around, and felt even more embarrassed. Everyone's gaze was focused on her and Cancri.
“What if you lose?” Cancri asked once more.
Camilla stared intently at Cancri, seeing her reflection in his golden eyes.
“I-I,” Camilla said quietly.
“If you lose, then you must become my slave.” Cancri held out his hand, smiling as Camilla stared at it.
“You said your wish, and I said mine. That’s fair enough, Miss.”
Feeling slighted, Camilla without hesitation took the man’s outstretched hand.
“We have a deal, Mr. Snake.”
Cancri simply smiled, glanced at his subordinates, and they immediately moved.
“Everyone present here will be witnesses to our game.”
Camilla looked around and saw that everyone had stood up neatly, making room for her and the man.
“Come,” Cancri said, quickly heading to the playground. The man sat down quietly, smiling as Camilla followed him and sat down in front of him.
‘I will make this man lose, I will do it!’
“You’re quite beautiful, I like the way you dress.” Cancri grinned.
“Thank you for the compliment, sir.”
