Chapter 31 FLASBACK

Chapter 31 FLASBACK
\[FLASHBACK\]

"Honey... it's time to go." A voice echoed from the dining room. A man had just finished his breakfast and seemed in a hurry. He had several important meetings at the office today, but more than that, he also had to take his only daughter to school.

"Princess, you're going to be late. Isn't this your first day of school? Hurry up." The man spoke again. He stood up and headed for the stairs. He quickly climbed, his steps quickening to reach the top floor as quickly as possible.

He was Terizla Alistair, the head of the Alistair family company and Camilla's father.

Terizla had now reached the second floor of the house and immediately headed to his daughter's room to remind her to hurry.

Terizla stopped when he saw his wife, who had just left the room, on the phone.

"Okay, I'll arrange it," a voice rang out. The door to a room not too far from the living room was still open, and a woman stood in front of it.

"Ah, I'll transfer some money." The woman spoke again, seemingly preoccupied.

“Hmm... yes, we'll do well with this.” The woman quickly hung up and placed her phone on the table.

“Agata, did you just call someone?” Terizla asked. The man eyed his wife carefully, unsure why she wanted to transfer the money, or for what purpose.

Agata nodded, and the woman stepped closer to her husband with a warm smile. Her feet stopped right in front of Terizla, as if she had something to say.

Terizla, noticing his wife's strange behavior, became curious. He had never seen Agata like this before; he wondered what she would tell him.

“What's wrong? It seems like something very important is up.” Terizla smiled warmly, ruffling his wife's neatly arranged hair.

"Terizla, Camilla's birthday is coming up soon. How about we celebrate? It's also Camilla's first time attending a public school, so she can invite her school friends." Agata looked so excited as she said this, eager to celebrate her daughter's birthday.

Terizla, hearing her wife's story, thought for a moment and agreed.

"I just contacted a friend of mine who owns a luxury hotel. I originally wanted to rent it at full price, but he offered me half price since Camilla will be using it." Agata hugged her husband, resting her head on his broad chest.

"I agree with that. How about you take care of the arrangements? I'll transfer the money to your account," Terizla said. The man returned his wife's hug, kissing her forehead affectionately.

"Sure, I'll check out the venue this afternoon. I've also been thinking about ideas for our daughter's birthday, and well... there's a really beautiful dress for her." Agata looked even more excited, and the woman quickly released her hug.

Terizla, seeing his wife so excited, felt pleased. "Okay, I want to take Camilla to school today, and I have some important meetings at work. Is it okay if you go alone?"

"No, I understand you're very busy too."

"You're such a good wife. Now, I have to remind our daughter..." Terizla then gave his wife a quick kiss on the lips. He then said, "...I love you."

Agata, receiving such attention, was even happier. She stood on tiptoes and kissed her husband's cheek.

"I love you too," Agata said.

Terizla smiled again, and he then walked away and headed towards his daughter's room. That's right... it was her daughter's birthday in two days, and he had almost forgotten about it.

After walking for less than a minute, Terizla finally arrived at her daughter's door. She immediately knocked, waiting for her daughter to come out.

The voice echoed and sounded quite loud. Terizla waited patiently, then glanced at the watch on her left wrist.

“Camilla, are you awake? Hurry, you’re going to be late for school.” Terizla spoke again, exhaling somewhat roughly, realizing her daughter had been stalling for too long.

“Honey, are you okay? Can Daddy come in?”

The bedroom door finally opened, and a girl immediately appeared, her smile sweet.

"Dad, I'm having trouble choosing what to wear to school." Camilla opened the door wide and pulled her father inside.

Terizla looked around. Her beautiful daughter's clothes were a mess in front of the walk-in closet door, and Terizla understood Camilla's confusion.

"Dad, do I have to wear the same clothes as at home? Will there be a uniform like Riko's?" Camilla asked again. She still vividly remembered the beautiful character in one of her favorite Japanese dramas.

"You're free to wear whatever you want. School here isn't like the schools in Japanese dramas you often see." Terizla stared at the beautiful and sweet girl and shook his head, exasperated by Camilla's behavior.

"Dad, why don't I go to a Japanese high school?" Camilla asked again.

"Because I don't want you to be too far away from your family."

"It's annoying, and I want to be a high school student there."

"Camilla, hurry up and find your clothes. Dad has a lot of important meetings today."

Camilla hurried over, knowing her father had been quite patient with her behavior this morning. Camilla had been confined to her home, using homeschooling services to get an education.

All she knew was that she would be attending one of the best schools in New York, and it was also the same school her father had attended.

Camilla hoped her days would be different there. She had even heard from one of the teachers who came regularly that school was a good place to make friends.

"Camilla, have you found your clothes?" Terizla asked again.

"Hold on, I'm changing, Dad." Camilla quickly grabbed her clothes and quickly changed into them.

Terizla, hearing her daughter's answer, could only shake her head. She quickly glanced at the bed and walked back.

Camilla hadn't even packed her books; she was a complete mess, and she couldn't organize her things properly.

The man then put her daughter's necessities in a bag, quickly zipped it up, and breathed a sigh of relief.

Now that everything was taken care of, he would have his daughter's personal maid tidy up the room.

"Dad, I'm ready!" Camilla exclaimed.

Terizla, hearing her daughter's words, immediately stood up and smiled when she saw Camilla wearing black trousers with a matching hoodie. Not to mention, Camilla was wearing sneakers the same color as her shirt and trousers.

“Black? Will that be good for the first day of school?” Terizla asked.

“I like black,” Camilla replied.

Terizla nodded and immediately handed Camilla her bag, which, oddly enough, was also black.

“Thanks, Dad.”

“Let’s go,” Terizla said, and then he walked out of the room.

Camilla immediately matched her father’s pace; today she was going to school, and she was very happy.
