CHAPTER 15—Olivia
My entire body is aware of every point where my bare skin meets Jake’s to where his warmth sends ripples of pleasure along my being.
I’m not sure how we ended up in this position. All I remember is meeting a fine blonde with baby blue eyes and taking her home with me, her name was Ashley, Natalie? I’m not sure.
I can feel his arousal press deep into my stomach while he’s asleep.
I want to touch him, that part of him. Most importantly I want to know why I feel this way for him.
Yes, he’s handsome but he’s not the only handsome boy I’ve ever come across. He’s funny but he’s not the only funny guy I’ve known.
Maybe it’s the way he touches me, but other men have touched me in the past and it didn’t make me feel this way.
Many tried to force these reactions out of me, but I felt nothing until the first day I kissed Jess.
We’d met at a club. I was new in town and lost and she was trying to rebel against her rich parents.
I envied her but she envied me, to be able to do as I pleased. I envied her the most, she had parents that cared for her in their own twisted way, but I had no one.
That day Jess helped me realize that I was just into girls and that men were the problem and not me.
So why was Jake making me feel this way. My fingers going on a silent journey up his arms until they find themselves resting on his plump lip.
His breathing is still evened out so I know that he’s still sleeping and so I continue exploring. His brows are thick and full, also perfectly arched. They complement his straight nose that house his small but plump lips down.
Drawing closer to him I place my lips lightly on his but as I’m about to draw away, his lips capture mine in a kiss.
His hand goes round to the back of my neck and holds me in place deepening the kiss.
I could kiss him forever if I could.
When we finally pull away, I open my eyes slowly but his are still shut tight.
“What do you think you’re doing?” he asks in a husky voice that leaves me more turned on than I already was.
“Nothing…I was just…” for the first time I stutter, I had no explanation whatsoever for what just happened.
He pulls me to him “It’s fine, you can touch me all you want even when I’m asleep” he says in a teasing voice, and I hit him on his chest laughing.
“There’s no way you’ve been asleep this entire time” I tell him and try to pull away, but he holds me tighter before slowly opening his eyes.
“So you want to run after waking up the monster” he tries to mimic a high-pitched voice which makes me laugh. Hard.
“A really big monster,” I don’t know why I said that. Or maybe I do because the part of him pressing against my stomach grows bigger.
He adjusts us on his bed so we’re lying side to side. From that angle the sun rays kiss his eyes, and they glow.
It looks like when the sun sets and leaves its glow on the surface of the ocean. It draws me in, and I can’t control myself when I kiss him again.
This time it’s more urgent, like we can’t live without the lips of the other. His hand goes to my back and soon he’s lying on top of me, but I don’t feel his weight.
He cups my boobs and I gasp as he plays with the tips that has grown sensitive. I shouldn’t be feeling like this.
When he finally takes it into his mouth I almost come, it brings me to the brink of release but doesn’t quite take me there as he pulls away.
The smirk plastered on his face is evident as I open my eyes. “What?” I ask him.
“You said you were not attracted to me…” he starts out slowly, emphasizing every word, “But you’re in my bed” he winks at my red face.
“I’m not attracted to you” I counter but he laughs because we both know that I am lying.
His index finger touches the side of my neck and trails down to my lower stomach. I shiver and he feels it.
“Your body says otherwise” he says with a triumphant smile.
I don’t deny that because I can’t. I mean I was in his bed naked. And I loved it even though I wasn’t supposed to.
I shouldn’t have these feelings for him, but I do, and I can’t stop feeling like I can’t have enough of me.
“Quick one though, so you’re not gay?” he asks with a frown.
I panic. How do I answer this question because I’m not so sure of myself anymore.
“That’s the thing Jake, I am attracted to ladies only, or at least I used to be…” I shake my head; this is not coming out right.
“Look I don’t even understand it, I swear I didn’t lie about being gay but….” I look at him through my lashes, “You just make me feel a lot of things that I can’t understand or explain.”
He doesn’t say anything, just studies my face with no emotion whatsoever.
Maybe he thinks I lied so I could get the contract, my eyes widen in realization. “Jake I swear…”
He swoops down and kisses me, stealing my words with his lips.
Does this mean he believes me?
I don’t have the time to process the question before he grabs my bare butt and pulls me roughly to him.
His palm goes from my chest to my thighs as he sends peppering kisses to the crook of my neck.
He’s spreading my thighs when his room door bursts open.
I want to kill whosoever it was that disrupted us but when my eyes land on Sharlene with her red hair and bright red lipstick that is the same shade, all the cuss on the tip of my tongue dies on my lips.
“To what do I owe this visit?” Jake questions her, casually putting on his shorts like his sister had not just barged in on us about to have sex.
“Exactly the bright welcome I expected from my brother” Sharlene beams.
When Jake rolls his eyes I feel a tad pity for her, he wasn’t even going to acknowledge her as he puts a shirt on.
“I’m not here for you grumpy boy” She whistles and her gaze slips to my face before lingering on my body.
“You did not tell me your name” she says and cocks her head to the side.
The look she is giving me sends chills down my spine, in a good way. “Olivia” I answered.
“I never got your number either,” it’s not until Sharlene raises her brow that I realize I’m supposed to speak.
“Uh, I don’t have a phone anymore. I kinda lost it” I look at Jake who looks away.
It had not even occurred to me to look for my phone or to get one. Probably because I never had a use for it, it was only Jess that called me and my landlady then to threaten me to pay up my rent.
“Good thing I got you a phone to congratulate you on your engagement ” Sharlene reaches into her bag and pulls out a small parcel and stretches out her hand.
I hesitate.
She walks over to me and pushes the parcel into my hand, “I already have my number stored on there so you can call me whenever,” she winks for added effect.
“Thank you I guess” I say and set the parcel down.
“What do you want Sharlene?” Jake asks, I forgot for a moment that he was present in the room.
Sharlene could do that you. She could easily capture your attention with her hair, but her eyes would never set you free.
The moment you looked at Sharlene, you will be trapped in her forever.
“Nothing that concerns you” she answers too sweetly that it’s sickening.
Jake reaches into his closet and pulls out a jacket and covers my body with it. At that Sharlene’s face falls slightly, like someone had taken away her favorite toy.
I didn’t even realize that I was still naked. I hold the jacket closer to me.
Jake coughs, “I hope you don’t have eyes on my wife” he says so boldly that my eyes widen in surprise.
He looks at me and clarifies “She’s gay.”
“Saying things no one asked you has always been your favorite hobby” Sharlene retorts.
I’m not surprised by what Jake said. If anything it made more sense why she looked at me the way that she did.
Jake pinches the bridge of his nose, and I can tell that he’s trying to refrain from saying something.
“Can you just state what you want and leave? I don’t even know how you found out here I lived” Jake is growing impatient, that I can tell.
“Are you throwing me out of your house Jake?” Sharlene feigns hurt, putting her hand on her chest.
“Mother would not be happy about this; she wants us to get along just like the good siblings that we are” She clicks her tongue.
Jake narrows his eyes at her but doesn’t say anything.
“Uh…I think I’ll head to my room now while you sort yourselves out” I say quickly when I notice the tension rolling off them.
The strained relationship between them was obvious and I was not about to get caught in their crossfire.
Sharlene’s hand is immediately on my shoulder, stopping me from standing up.
“You can’t leave when you’re the reason I’m in this horrible place” She says.
“What do you want from her?” Jake asks, removing her hand from my shoulder like it was a deadly thing.
“Finally you’re asking the right questions” Sharlene laughs before putting on a cool expression.
“I just want a date with my future sister-in-law” She answers, her face contorting into a frown like the words that left her mouth were vile.
“What do you mean a date?” Jake barks. He was really angry now and wasn’t even bothering to hide it.
“It means exactly what I said,” she pauses “I want to know the woman by brother is getting married to.”
“I don’t believe you one bit. Whatever thing you’re planning, stop it right now,” he says, hovering over me like he was protecting me.
Sharlene laughs “I don’t care for what you believe in. Besides the question was for her not you, let her answer.”
