The Revenge 2

Chris was retreating to his room. He was currently working on his revenge plan. He must be able to destroy Joe just like Joe did to him. He didn't care if Joe was his brother.

Suddenly there was a knock on his door. Then the door slid open. Angela entered the room with slow steps. Her eyes looked straight at Chris without blinking once.

"What the hell are you doing here?" asked Chris bluntly.

"I just wanted to tell you that I deliberately let Briana go," Angela replied without feeling guilty at all.

Chris gritted his teeth. "What's your real reason? After all I've done for you you'd betray me."

"Now I'm preparing to face your punishment. As you told me before, I will accept the punishment for betraying you," Angela replied trying to hold back her tears.

"You'd better get out of my way now. I have more important things to do," Chris snapped fiercely.

"Chris ...." Angela shouted hysterically.

Chris called John and asked him to come to his room immediately. Angela's presence here was really disturbing his concentration. He wanted John to take Angela away from him.

"Yes, boss. "

"Take Angela away. I don't want to see her here," Chris said sarcastically."

John forced Angela out of Chris's room. He didn't care when Angela thrashed about, and tried to break her grip. He had a hard time getting Angela to leave.

"Let me go now. Let me go," Angela pleaded.

But John didn't budge. Eventually he chose to carry Angela on his shoulders to make it easier to move his body as he made his way to Angela's room. After arriving at Angela's room, John pushed Angela in roughly. He also locked the room so Angela could not escape from there.

"How are you?" asked Joe the next day when he saw Briana in her room. Briana's face was no longer as pale as yesterday.

"I feel much better," Briana replied quietly.

"I'm glad to hear that. You know you've made it this far. So, I'll keep trying to take care of you," Joe said later.

Joe was relieved that Briana was okay when he met the girl again. Of course it was because of the help of Angela, his brother's lover all this time. Maybe without Angela's help, Joe would never have met Briana again.

They turned to the door when they heard a knock. Antonio was at the door with a pale face. Antonio seemed to have difficulty speaking.

"What's wrong?"

"I have some bad news, boss," Antonio said afterwards. "One of the companies was successfully hacked by someone. This has caused the entire computer system in the company to have problems."

"What did you say?"

"It looks like he betrayed you Boss. That person is probably working with Chris to destroy you."

"You said someone betrayed you. Who?" asked Joe after he walked out of Briana's room, and it was just the two of them.

"I can't be sure yet. But, before that you should see this message."

John walked over. He turned on his cell phone, then handed it to Joe. It was a message from the head of the company's IT team saying that the company's computer system was down.

Joe looked at the contents of the message with bulging eyes. One of his hands was clenched tightly as he read the message line by line. He shook his head in disbelief when he realized that someone had managed to stab him in the back.

"How did this happen? How did they steal data that clearly belongs to us and hack into our computer?" Joe asked in a tone of disbelief. He pulled his hair as an outlet for the frustration that came over him.

Joe couldn't wrap his head around it. He had been running this IT business for years. He has gone through ups and downs with enthusiasm and never knew the word despair. Now, when he was at the top, someone managed to make him stumble and almost fall.

"What about the other responses? They must be devastated that their hard work has been stolen by someone else." Joe growled, angry at the current situation. But, he was unable to do anything about it.

"As you'd expect, they're demoralized now and really feeling the pinch," John said. "In the meantime we can only wait while I investigate. I can confirm that the traitor is one of our employees."

"Do you have any idea who it might be?"

Now Joe was ready to listen to John's explanation. There was no way his best friend would make such a shocking statement if he didn't have any evidence or reason. He would listen to anything from John. As he asked John, he was well aware that he had to be willing to accept the consequences.

"I can't reveal it now because I don't have any solid evidence," John replied cautiously. "I'm currently conducting an investigation. Be patient and pray that what I fear never happens."

Joe furrowed his brow. He didn't like this tense atmosphere. A thought flashed through his head. Maybe John knew something, but John was reluctant to tell him. He couldn't do much but wait. As long as Keanu was investigating, he would wait until John delivered the results of his investigation as Keanu had said earlier.

"It seems I have no choice but to be patient and sit back and wait," Joe said with no intention of masking his displeasure. In this situation, he really hated himself for not being able to do anything.

"I totally understand how you feel. I'm no less upset than you are. It's just that we can't be rash in making decisions," John said soothingly.

"I think I know who the main culprit is?" said John suddenly.

"Who?" urged Joe.

"Who else but Chris," said John.

It wasn't long before Joe received a call from his brother. He hurriedly picked it up. He glanced at John briefly.

"Hello, my dear brother. Surely you've received a surprise from me," Chris said in a mocking tone.

Joe stared intently at John. Just as John had suspected. The main culprit of the problems in his company was Chris.
