Chapter 57 Terrify
Genesis's POV
My movements became even stiffer.
Just thinking that these photos might be seen by people from the Martinez family made my actions more restrained.
The photographer, who had been confident just moments ago, now showed an embarrassed expression.
He stubbornly had us change several poses and locations, but because my movements were so stiff, he never achieved the effect he wanted.
Finally, Eli helplessly called for a stop.
"Forget it. That's enough." He frowned and squeezed my hand, clearly dissatisfied with me.
But I felt relieved. As long as we didn't have to continue shooting, I didn't care if he was unhappy.
The photographer worked quickly. By the time I finished removing my makeup, the photos were developed.
Eli took several that he thought turned out well. He even put the one of us looking at each other in his wallet.
Eli proudly held my hand. "Even strangers can see it. You feel it too, right? Hurry up and change your phone wallpaper to this photo."
I tried to break free once. Eli gripped my hand tightly, not giving me a chance.
I had no choice but to change the wallpaper, Eli drove me to the school entrance.
Before getting out of the car, I sincerely thanked him. "Thank you for being willing to do these things for me."
Whether it was the driver's license or the photo shoot, these were things he genuinely considered for me, and they really helped.
Eli chuckled softly, placing his right hand on the steering wheel while his left hand hooked around my shoulder, pulling me toward him.
"That's how you thank me? So normal?" He raised an eyebrow.
After being with him for so long, I already understood what he meant. I immediately backed away. "It's time. I should go to school."
I hurriedly turned to pull the car door handle, but Eli had no intention of letting me go. He held the back of my head and kissed me deeply.
He hooked my tongue, tangling with it wantonly, as if he wanted to kiss into the depths of my soul.
But I was terrified.
It was lunch time now. People were coming and going at the school entrance. I could even hear their conversations through the car window!
I pressed tightly against the car door, deliberately lightening my breathing, wishing I could become completely invisible.
I struggled for Eli to stop, but he slipped his hand under my shirt hem to hold my waist, forcing me closer to him.
"After so many times, why are you still so shy?" Not only did he not let me go, he kissed me even more deeply and fiercely.
If I had been grateful to him just moments ago, now I was filled with shame and anger!
I knew he couldn't stay proper for more than three seconds. His mind was full of these sexual things!
"That looks like Genesis's uncle's car?" Through the car window, I heard Forth's voice talking to his companion.
I saw Forth looking toward the car. "Is Genesis inside?"
My breathing stopped!
They would definitely see me kissing my own uncle through the car window!
My body tensed to the point of trembling. I used all my strength to push Eli away! Then quickly opened the car door and got out.
"Hey! Why are you angry again?" Eli shouted from inside the car. I ignored him and slammed the door shut.
"Genesis? You're really here!" Forth ran over excitedly. "Have you had lunch? Want to join us?"
I quickly glanced at Eli's car and shook my head, refusing Forth.
Eli was hostile toward Forth. If he saw me having lunch with Forth, he would definitely cause trouble again.
After saying goodbye, I walked into school alone.
I went to the school lawn.
I sat on the grass feeling troubled, basking in the sun.
Eli hadn't gone to South Africa. This was completely beyond my expectations.
I had to find a way to make him lose interest in me! As the young master of the Martinez family, he had always been proud. If I defied him a few more times like just now, he should get annoyed!
While I was thinking, a shadow suddenly appeared in front of me.
I looked up and saw Forth.
Forth showed a brilliant smile, holding a bottled Starbucks coffee in front of me. "Celebrating you getting your Temporary Instruction Permit."
I reached out to take it, Forth sat down beside me and took out his phone to take a selfie of us both.
"This is worth posting on IG to celebrate!"
I waved my hands repeatedly. "It's just a Temporary Instruction Permit. This is too grand."
Forth didn't give me a chance to refuse, "This is good news. Of course it's worth celebrating."
Forth had already posted it quickly. He even tagged me. I thought about it and logged into IG to repost his update.
Eli's POV
Archibald looked at me and raised an eyebrow.
"These past few days when I called you to hang out, you always said you were busy. I thought you'd given up being a playboy and decided to be a good guy."
I gave him a casual glance. Just then my phone rang.
It was a message from Walker.
"I found out. Christian and Delilah's father bought off our people to switch the cargo, then sold that batch through Delilah's father."
My expression immediately darkened. So the cargo Don Nelson sold me was actually mine?!
He had some nerve!
I sneered and put away my phone, kicking Archibald's desk. "Didn't you date a really shy college girl before? I heard at first she wouldn't even let you kiss her. How did you make her less shy later?"
Archibald looked at me like I was a monster. "I wondered why you haven't been coming out to play lately. Turns out you're corrupting innocent little girls?"
I irritably kicked him.
Archibald laughed and raised his hands. "Women! If you want her to stop being shy, just sleep with her a few more times."
I glumly smoked a cigarette. I shouldn't have come to him in the first place.
"She's different." Genesis wasn't the type of girl who would stop being shy after doing it once. Otherwise she wouldn't still be angry.
Archibald scoffed. "Don't play the romantic playboy. Stay and drink tonight. I just got a new batch of liquor."
I was about to agree when my phone rang again.
It was Delilah's father calling.
"Eli, when are you paying for that batch of guns? I shipped them to you first because of Delilah. Don't drag your feet." Don Nelson's arrogant voice came through.
I viciously stubbed out my cigarette in the ashtray.
I hadn't even gone to settle accounts with him, and he dared to come looking for me? Perfect. I was full of anger right now and needed somewhere to vent.
I raised an eyebrow at Archibald. "Wait for me to come back before we drink. Right now I'm going to deal with an old bastard who doesn't follow the rules."
