AMANDA
“What?” I asked, wondering that what else does he wants to do before starting everything fresh.
“I never thought about it, Amanda but there's something that I need to fix about myself. I tortured you and in my anger, almost took your life away from you. If there were any other man at my place then he would've never done that.” He spoke.
I shook my head. “That's okay...”
“That's not okay, Amanda. I want to take therapy. Not just because I've fucked up anger issues but because I want to be a better man for you. I want to move past my emotional baggage and try a little harder for you.” He cut me in middle, his warm breath fanning all over my face.
I blinked, trying not to crush him into my arms and tell him that how proud I'm of him. So, I just passed him a soft, assuring smile, knowing very well that we both are humans and our mental health can't always be alright. If he can start afresh for me then maybe I can do the same for him too.
“I'll quit drinking and smoking cigarettes.” I said.
He nodded. “You can do all those occassionally. You don't need to quit everything all at once.”
Oh my heart— How can this man be so perfect? Loving him comes so easy. Well not free from the start but anyways, here we're sitting with our forehead resting against each other, planning to make everything work out even though it has already.
If given a chance, I'd always fall in love with him. If I be honest then I won't rule out the possibility of me pitying him for how much he had gone through. Also, I'd never not feel bitter about what he did to me but how can I not love him? He's the only one left by by side. It isn't my Stockholm syndrome talking but rather my heart is. When two lonely person finds each other, they love like there's no tomorrow because we know how much we crave love. We return the feeling; we always wished to experience from someone other than us.
“Do you think we can workout everything? Do you think we can stay by each other's side when we grow wrinkles? Do you think we can survive all the fights we'd have in future?” I asked, brushing my lips against the tip of his nose.
A rythmic chuckle escaped pass his lips. “That depends.”
I wrinkled my eyebrows. “On what?”
“On for how long you love me.” He answered.
“And about you?”
“I'd always find my way back to you Amanda if you keep on loving me.” He smiled, a genuinely beautiful smile.
“Oh, and now someone's getting all romantic, huh?” I teased him, placing a kiss on his lips and getting up.
“Always for you.” He grinned.
Right.
Finally I've found a home for my heart.
“You know, this all feels like a dream. I still can't believe that after what I did to you—”
“Let's not talk about the past, shall we?” I said, feeling happy.
“Okay.” He exhaled. “Shall we go out? I want to take you somewhere.”
I nodded. “Give me five minutes to change.”
As he parked the car by the buildings and shopping complexes which were getting broken down, I looked at him in confusion. “Where are we?”
He didn't say anything, just smiled and undid my seat belt. I followed him out of the car and he held my wrist, grinning like a little boy. I don't know why he was happy but the smile on his face was so genuine that I couldn't stop myself from swooning over him.
The four SUV followed us which were full of his bodyguards and they all stood with guns in their hands and oh, I forgot to add, there were paparazzi too. The camera lights flashed in our direction and all the workers on the site gathered to greet Marco.
Wow. Okay.
“You should've told me to dress appropriately. I wore a fucking T-shirt and shorts.” I whispered under my breath.
He turned his head to me and tucked a strand of my blue hair behind my ear. “You look beautiful.” He waited for a second before placing a kiss on my temple.
I flushed.
Jesus, we're in front of cameras.
When we walked a little forward, I thought of asking something. “Marco, does my blue hair, arm full of tattoos, random clothes bother you?”
He snapped his head in my direction. “Why would you ask that?”
I shrugged. “Just because. Or maybe I'm getting a little bit self conscious? I bleached my hair and covered my arms with ink just because I wanted to piss my father and step mother. But now, I'm married to you; to the billionaire. I feel like I should be little modest, no? Maybe wear something nice & sophisticated, dye my hair black or anything. I want to be good for you.”
His eyes stayed at my face for a moment before he hummed in response. “Amanda, You're beautiful.”
I bite the corner of my lips are his compliment.
He took a step closer and placed a kiss on the top of my head. “I love your blue hair.” Then he took my hands and placed a kiss on my forearm. “I love these black inks on your body.” And then he placed a kiss on my ear. “I love your piercings too.”
I blinked, looking at him and then I smiled. “Thankyou.”
“Now will you tell me, why we're here?” I asked.
“You'll see.” He just grinned.
