CHAPTER 45

Some Khalifa people were surprised when Amir and I arrived. Of course, only Rhea knows that the owner of the hotel returned to the Philippines for his love life. "Oh, I don't like this, the way the employees look at me." I said to Amir while waiting for the elevator to open.

"Get used to the fact that your boyfriend is very happy," answered Amir.

"I don't think it's about your tiredness why they're looking at me. I think they thought I was blooming a bit now," I said and then laughed out loud.

"You're blooming because you're in love with me," answered the man.

"Hmmm maybe," I said. "By the way, are the kids coming later?" I asked him about his children. I was honestly worried that Kimberly might use the kids to get closer to Amir. I don't know why that girl still looks at Amir like she is about to marry another man.

"Yup. I think they're here already," said Amir.

"How did you know?" I asked him because I didn't notice that he was talking to someone on the phone earlier, eh.

"Kimberly told me last night that they might sleep here, that's why, they might be upstairs." Amir explained.

WHAT? The mother and daughter are already upstairs? What's the point and I'll still deliver him? Hey, I feel like I want to pull out the hairs on his head one by one. It's been a while since he talked to Kimberly but she didn't even mention anything to me. Are we just kidding? "In this situation, maybe you and Kimberly will stay together," I told him and he raised an eyebrow at me.

"What do you want to say?" he asked.

"No," I said because it would be embarrassing for him if I insisted on what I wanted. I'm just thinking too far ahead, eh.

"Nothing? Why are you frowning? Common, Jamie. I know you have an issue right now," he sneered at me.

"I just noticed that you and Kimberly have been seeing each other more and more lately," I told him whatever I noticed about the situation between the two of them. I'm also a woman so I have a hunch about Kimberly's calculated moves. I have a feeling that it is really planning something bad, eh.

"Ah, so you're jealous of Kimberly?" Amir smiled as he asked me.

And he's still happy with what's going on? Of course, I will be jealous of Kimberly! Who wouldn't be insecure about Amir's ex? Besides being beautiful, she has a child with a man, and I also know how much Amir loves her. When he heard that Kimberly was getting married to another man, he immediately went to the Philippines. To be honest, I'm still a bitch and I still have a lot of rice to eat when it comes to a man's heart.

Even though he told me several times that he loved me, of course I believed him, I can't just be complacent, can I? If the man managed to replace Kimberly in his heart, especially me!

"Don't I have the right to be jealous of you?" I threw a question at him, but he just raised an eyebrow at me. "Answer!" I said pretending to be angry but I'm not really angry, I just want to scare him.

"Is this a serious conversation?" He asked again so I just shook my head.

"Is not. It's just a joke, huh." I said but he didn't seem to like the last thing I said. "Let's go," I said as the elevator opened so he didn't get a chance to respond to me. While inside the elevator, I was really quiet, and so was he.

"Jamie," he called my name as we reached the 12th floor.

"Hmmm why?" I asked him.

"I know you have insecurities in your heart right now, but just remember this. I love you so much, and whatever Kimberly and I had before, that's in the past. Let's just focus on the present," he said.

"Is that a sermon?" I joked to him as we exited the elevator together.

"Not at all. I'm just saying that you don't have to understand anything when it comes to Kimberly. If I could just remove this heart of mine right now, I would really do it and you would be the first to hold it." Amir said while holding my hand and staring into my eyes.

"Sorry also. What's the matter, as long as you're right. I have insecurities when it comes to your ex," I admitted the truth to him.

"I understand. You know how many buckets of tears I cried for him. Same thing goes with Brent. I know you don't look up to him because I know you, but that's why I can't help but be jealous of both of you."

I laughed at that word, because I said that earlier for myself. I didn't know that Amir felt the same about Brent. "It's hard to have an ex, what?" I told him. "Why didn't we meet when we were still virgins?"

"You lost it when you're sixteen," he reminded me of when I was infatuated with Brent.

"My god! And you really need to remind me? Anyway, do you think we're still in the end?" I asked him.

"Why not? Wait, are you hearing about the wedding?"

Ouch! I was hit in the forehead! It's not that I'm listening, it's just that my position with him is secured when we get married, eh. As long as Kimberly is in the background, I will never really feel at ease. "A little," I was embarrassed to admit but he just laughed at me. He's really bad!

"You're really funny as usual," said Amir.

Joke? I'm not joking, eh! "Just don't agree if Kimberly wants to sleep here. I'm here, huh." And I really made myself beautiful. I don't care if he has one. It's necessary, eh. Don't be complacent because the enemy is just around the corner!
