Chapter 91 Breeder
Chapter 91 Breeder
"And to prove my generosity as Luna," Estela continued, voice dripping with arrogance, "I’m naming you the Alpha’s breeder. That way, your pups will have the honor of serving my little Alpha, and Ares can mount you to calm his third form."
"Not even in your best dreams, you viper." I screamed with all the hatred I felt.
How could Ares do this to me? I’d rather die.
"My dreams are coming true, Esmeralda. And they’ll be your nightmare."
"Only if you step over my corpse, you Shaytan."
"It’s decided. Not even if Ares wanted to could he stop it. And sweetie, he doesn’t want you anymore. Your rejection was too much for him. No Alpha survives that kind of humiliation and takes his mate back. It’s about power, not love."
"Liar."
"A lie? Where is he, then? Why didn’t he come see you? Luna Elvira is part of the Council, mother of the future Alpha Orium. You might not believe me, but how can you doubt her word? In two days, I’ll be crowned Luna of the pack. Ares will mount me in wolf form and mark me as Luna."
"His third form will never accept it."
"I know. But I don’t need it. That’s what you’re for. Here in this cell. During the full moon, when his third form takes control, he can mount you here. Get you pregnant. Then Ares comes back to me, his true Luna."
The words hit like physical blows.
Breeder.
He’d make me a breeder. A vessel for his heat. For his beast.
While Estela wore the title. While she slept in my bed.
I gripped the bars until my knuckles turned white. The metal bit into my skin, but the pain was nothing compared to what was happening in my chest.
"Don’t you get it, human?" Elvira said softly, like she was explaining to a child. "You’re not his mate anymore. Not in the eyes of the Council. Not in the eyes of the pack. You rejected him publicly. You shamed him. No Alpha takes his mate back after that."
"Love?" I spat. "You think this is about love? You think I care about the title?"
"It’s about what the pack needs," Estela sneered. "An Alpha with a Luna. With an heir. You can’t give him that. Not without the bond."
"But I can," she pressed a hand to her stomach. "I can give him sons. Stand beside him at ceremonies. Be what the Council demands."
"And I can give him relief," she added, eyes gleaming. "When the moon is full and his beast is screaming for a mate, you’ll be right here. In this cell. Ready."
I laughed. But this time it wasn’t humor. It was madness. The kind that bubbles up when you’ve lost everything.
"You think I’ll lie there and let him use me like an animal?"
"You won’t have a choice," Elvira said. "The beast doesn’t ask permission. And neither does the Alpha when the beast is in control. That’s why we’re telling you now. So you can make peace with it. Two days. That’s all you have left before your new purpose begins."
Two days.
Two days until Estela became Luna.
Two days until I became property.
Two days until Ares would touch another woman and then come to me like I was nothing more than a release valve.
The walls closed in. Air got thinner. I couldn’t breathe.
"No," I whispered. "No, no, no."
"Yes," Estela smiled. "And the best part? You’ll do it willingly. Because when his third form takes over, you’ll beg for it. The beast knows its mate. Even if the man doesn’t want you anymore, the beast will always want you. That’s the curse of being a rejected mate."
Elvira nodded. "It’s mercy, really. To give you purpose. Most rejected mates go mad. Or die. But you… you’ll serve the pack. Give us pups. Strong pups. In return, you’ll live. Fed. Clothed. Protected."
Protected. Like livestock.
I sank to my knees on the cold stone. The red tunic pooled around me like blood. Like shame.
They were right about one thing. The beast would want me.
I’d felt it before. The pull. The need. The way his wolf looked at me even when his human side was furious.
And Estela knew it. That’s why this was worse than prison. Worse than death.
They weren’t just taking my title. They were taking my body. My choice. My dignity.
And giving it to her.
"You’re wrong," I said quietly. My voice shook, but the words came out clear. "I’d rather die."
Elvira sighed, like I was being unreasonable. "Death isn’t an option, child. The Council won’t allow it. Your life is forfeit to the pack now. You’ll live. You’ll serve. And maybe, in time, you’ll learn gratitude."
Gratitude. For being used. For being broken.
Estela leaned close to the bars, pregnant belly pressing against the metal. "Don’t worry, Esmeralda. I’ll make sure the pups you bear for us are treated well. Servants, of course. But well-fed servants. Better than what you deserve."
Something inside me snapped.
I shot to my feet. Lunged at the bars. My hands grabbed for her throat through the gaps. She was fast. Stepped back just in time, laughing.
"See? This is why you can’t be Luna. No control. No grace. Just rage."
Guards appeared at the end of the hall. Two males, big and armed.
"Time’s up, ladies," one said.
Elvira straightened her robes. "We’ll leave you to contemplate your future, Esmeralda. Two days. Use them wisely."
They turned to go. Estela paused at the door.
"Oh, and human? Don’t bother trying to escape. The territory is sealed. The Council wants this to happen. In front of everyone. At the Stone. Your humiliation will be the pack’s entertainment."
The door slammed shut. Footsteps faded.
I was alone again.
But I wasn’t empty.
The hate was still there. Burning. Stronger than before.
Two days.
They thought I’d spend them crying. Begging. Breaking.
They were wrong.
I stood up slowly. Walked to the small window. The sky was turning gray. Dawn was coming.
Allah, if you’re listening… give me strength. Give me a way out.
Because I’d rather die than let them do this to me.
And if I had to burn this whole pack down to keep my freedom, then so be it.
