Chapter 129
Six Years later 
It has been six years of peace; my mother hasn’t sent anything and hasn’t been around. We opened the health spa next to the B&B, but that’s all Yolands’ pet project. Harry spends all his time doing paperwork for both, so Kane isn’t overwhelmed. My dad takes care of all 4 of our kids. Yes, I said 4. We have Xander and Sasha, who are 6 years old now. They are out of school and running around the grounds like they don’t have a care in the world. We had 2 more kids after that, Sonia, who is 4, and Tony, who is 2. I am just glad I didn’t have twins again. The bed rest was hell. My water, with Sonia, broke while I was in the kitchen in the B&B; Tony’s was in the living room at our house. We still delivered in the room we had at home.  
My dad’s friends moved away to be with their families, whom they have found over the years. They all still work in security, but now have four offices in four different states. My dad does online stuff for them. He is dating a woman named Corina DuPree, she is sweet, she is about 4ft 11in, has blond hair, blue eyes, and loves to bake. She always has flour on herself. We all get along well; they are thinking of getting married next year. It was cute she didn't want a proposal she just said one night that she wanted to be married.  
Sitting here at my desk in the office opening mail I can't help but think about what in the world I did to end up with such a wonderful husband and family. I saw a letter from overseas, but it isn't from my mother, it is from a police station in Paris. I opened the letter with confusion written on my face for sure because Kane just walked in and made it all the way to me tapping me on the shoulder, making me jump. I just handed him the letter and couldn't believe what I had just seen. It says my mom were arrested; she killed a family in a DUI accident. They said they found several fake IDs on her, and one was mine. They just need a lawyer to come and represent us in the case. They don't need us to come in person because we didn't know. They just want any additional evidence they can get to keep her behind bars. 
Kane just hugs me and we plan a family dinner to celebrate, sending out a text to everyone. Harry will take care of the lawyer's part, and we can now live our lives to the fullest without that hanging over our heads anymore. I will never have to go back to the town I escaped, and I am building a future for my children and showing them, you can do anything if you set your mind to it.
