CHAPTER 32. Blood lust duel

"What do you mean by wanting her for yourself?" Mykel asks his son for clarification.

"What I mean Dad is that I feel attracted to that lady in your room," Ralph said without a hint of regret in his voice Mykel knew for sure that his son meant what he is saying but still he didn't want to leave Kitara in the hand of his son, not now that he also has developed a feeling for her.

"But I think you already have a mate where you are, how are we going to settle that part?" Mykel asked. "Well Dad apparently I was losing to you" Ralph replied.

"What do you mean by that? I have my men keep an eye on you and yet you claim what they give to me as report is a lie?"Alpha Mykel asked feeling tense, he knew this was his only shot to keep Kitara for himself and yet his son is about to drop a bomb on him.

"Well, Dad I tipped your bug off and fed him with information to give to you. You know I hate ladies and I never planned to have one in my life but you keeping forcing things on me. That is why I left in the first place and then I discovered that you have a bug on me. Then I took care of it, now Father is it now a proper thing to restrain me from my first heart desire?" Ralph replied trying to win his father's heart.

That's not the point here son, it's just that Kitara is a stranger in this kingdom. A slave to be precise, we don't have any family background, her past record and stuff like that. You being together might lead to something unpleasant" Mykel said trying to get his son off the mindset of making Kitara his but his effort seems abortive.

"Don't worry about that Dad, who would dare fuck with the son of the mighty Alpha Mykel, not just the son but the one and only child he has?" Ralph said as he boast of his position and mostly his father's great and mighty reputation.

"You are right there son but am afraid I can grant that request of yours" Alpha Mykel replied.

"Why?, Because you love her?, You have always had any girl you wanted ever since I know you and am just asking for just this one and yet you are keeping her away from me?" Ralph asked in a tone that shows his grieving and unpleased mood.

"It not like that son," Mykel said to his son. "So what is this all about then," Ralph asked with what seemed to be tears coming out of his eye. Mykel felt terrible to have his son in the state and yet he didn't wish to give out Kitara to him.

"It not like that son... it's just that...." Alpha Mykel stammered unsure of what to say next, he stood there searching for any possible thing to say and Ralph stood before him with an eye full of tears and emotions waiting to hear what his father had to say. But after a while with his father not having anything to say Ralph cursed him "damn it, Dad," he cursed.

"Thanks for dividing me from my joy. Enjoy your life with your mistress and please don't reach out to me when you don't see me again. Am not your son, not anymore" Ralph said as he walks away.

"Stop there son" Mykel yelled out and Ralph turned around. "Stay for today's dinner feast prepared for you and if you still have the zeal to make her yours you will get my word if I have agreed or not at the feast," Mykel said looking away, he knew deep down he is supposed to give out Kitara to him without hesitation. He has always tried to fix him up with ladies but every time he rejects them and now that he has made a choice he is the one standing against his wish, "what kind of father does that?. Yeah the one blinded by its own lustful desires that forget about the joy of his son, the one that got someone killed just because of lust" he thought to himself.

"Fear enough" Ralph murmured to himself and went on his way. Alpha Mykel stood at the spot trying to figure out his next line of action, he then decided to proceed to the palace park for him to be able to clear his mind and he also hopes he can find an answer to his troubled heart. On his way to the park he met a maid "Hey what is your name" he asked.

"Lucy your highness" the maid replied.

"Okay, Lucy. Amaya is not around now so I will make use of you. Go to the kitchen and tell them that the crown prince is around and there is going to be a feast tonight, inform the head chef that I want the best delicacy and it going to be a great feast. After you are done with that make sure everything is set, the decoration of the palace hall, the music is well set, and all the stuff. Am officially assigning you as the planner of the rest nothing must go wrong." He said.

The maid seems to be overjoyed and brims up with happiness "Am honoured my lord and I won't let you down" she said.

"Good and start at once," Mykel said and he walks away from the mid who rushed down to the kitchen. After hours in the park with no answers Mykel decided to visit Kitara, he met her where she was taking a nap, and as soon as he got there she opened her eye, she seemed to have gained a lot of energy.

"Thanks for your care and love your highness," she said.

"It's nothing" he replied, "that's is the answer to his problem," he thought to himself and walks out immediately walking to the feast center.

A knock came upon Ralph resting room, he opened his door. "It is time for the feast"
