Days and weeks passed and some sense of normalcy settled in the kingdom. Walking through the grand halls of the palace, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. While all of this was going on, there were other things that I was putting into place and couldn't wait to reveal to Evelyn. One evening, while we were washing together, her soft body pressed against mine, I brushed her wet hair away from her neck, pressing kisses on her exposed neck and listening to her sighs of comfort as she leaned closer to me.
"Evelyn?" I murmured, wrapping my hands around her waist and pulled her even closer. She turned to look at me, a small smile on her face as she gazed softly at me.
"Yes?"
"I want to tell you something." I began, staring intently at her.
"What is it?" She asked. Interlocking my fingers with hers, I pressed my forehead against hers. The words were stuck in my throat but I had difficulty saying them due to the intense look in her eyes. Finally, I mustered enough courage to spill them out.
"Once we're done with the restructuring of the kingdom, I plan on hosting a banquet and announcing you as my Luna Queen. From then onwards, you'll bear the title of my Luna Queen and not just my mate or slave." I announced.
Her eyes widened as the words slowly sunk in, color appearing in her cheeks. "What? Really!?" He asked her voice filled with disbelief. I nodded, a small smile tugging my lips as I reached to kiss her nose.
"I want to share my life with you in every way. I want the world to know that you are not just my partner, but the heart of this kingdom." I told her and watched as tears filled her eyes.
"I can't believe this! You really are going to do that?" She asked again but I just chuckled, running my hands through her hair. Her eyes sparkled with joy, and she threw her arms around my neck, engulfing me in a hug as water splashed around us. "I'm so happy, Kieran. Thank you! hank you!! Thank you!!!"
"I should be the one thanking you. Thank you for coming into my life and keeping up with me. Not a lot of people could have managed to do that, and I promise to make it up to you all of he days of my life." I said, cleaning off the tears that had streamed out of her eyes.
"I promise to love you with all of my heart as well." She whispered back, her voice filled with a sincerity that couldn't be faked. "You just made me the happiest woman on this earth." She said, chuckling lightly.
"And you've made me the happiest man from the very beginning that you walked into my life." I said as I pulled her closer for a searing kiss. She opened her mouth willingly, letting me push my tongue inside her mouth, tasting and exploring every part of her.
The kiss soon turned intense and I was lifting her from the tub of water to the bed, dropping our wet bodies on the soft mattress as I caressed every part of her. She looked up at me, her eyes filled with love and light and I leaned down to kiss her again, settling myself between her thighs.
I enveloped Evelyn in my arms, my kisses tender yet filled with desire. My tongue traced the outline of her lips before gently pulling them into my own. Evelyn sighed, surrendering to my passion, her eyes closed in bliss.
