“Yes I'm a monster, so what? I'm only a monster for you. I know i was wrong to leave you in the first place but i came back to win you love back, but this useless bitch keeps getting in my way.“ Maya said as she pointed to Anna.
The doctor stepped forward, his expression concerned. "Miss Maya, let's focus on Antonio's well-being. He needs our support now and your noise might affect him."
“Who gave you the right to interrupt me?“ Maya a retorted to the doctor.
The doctor having no reply turned and left the room.
Marcus's gaze never wavered from Maya's face. "You're going to face the consequences of your actions, Maya. You'll never see Antonio again, and you'll never be a part of my life."
“you can separate me from my son?“ Maya responded her face turning to angry expression.
“we will see about that.“ Marcus said, his voice firm and resolute.
Maya's face turned pale, her eyes wide with fear. "You wouldn't dare," she spat, but her voice trembled slightly.
Marcus's expression was unyielding. "Oh, I would dare. And I'll make sure you pay for what you've done. You're going down, Maya."
Maya's eyes darted around the room, her panic rising. She knew she was cornered, and Marcus wouldn't stop until he exposed her.
"You'll never take my son away from me," Maya snarled, but her voice lacked conviction.
Marcus's smile was cold and calculating. "We'll see about that. And also an investigation will be carried out on Antonio's poisoning.
Maya's face contorted in rage, but beneath the surface, fear simmered. She knew she was running out of options, and Marcus had the upper hand
Maya's face crumpled, her body shaking with fears. But Marcus didn't care. He turned to Victor who stood silently by rhe corner of the room, his eyes cold. "Get her out of here. I never want to see her again."
Maya's world came crashing down around her. She knew she will soon lose everything – her reputation, her relationships, and her son. The truth will finally come to light, and she would have to face the consequences.
Victor stepped forward, his expression unreadable. "Come with me, Maya," he said, his voice firm but devoid of emotion.
Maya's face twisted in rage as she struggled against Victor's grip. "Let me go! This isn't over, Marcus! I'll never let you win!" she screamed, her voice echoing through the hospital room.
Victor's grip only tightened as he dragged Maya out of the room, her struggles growing weaker. As they disappeared into the hallway, Marcus's expression remained unyielding.
He turned to Anna, who stood frozen in shock. "Anna, please make sure Maya doesn't see Antonio again. And get the police involved. We need to take action against Maya for her crimes."
Anna nodded, still looking pale. "I'll take care of it, Marcus."
As the door closed behind Victor and Maya, Marcus felt a sense of relief wash over him. He had finally seen through Maya's facade, and justice would be served. But the question remained: who was Antonio's real father? And what would happen to him now?
The DNA test results would reveal the truth, but for now, Marcus's priority was Antonio's well-being. He walked over to Antonio's bedside, his heart aching for the child who had been used as a pawn in Maya's twisted game.
Marcus's eyes filled with compassion as he gazed at Antonio. He gently stroked the child's hair, trying to reassure him. "Don't worry, Antonio. You're safe now. I'll make sure you're protected and cared for."
Antonio's eyes fluttered open, and he looked up at Marcus with a mixture of confusion and fear. "Daddy?" he whispered, his voice weak.
Marcus's heart ached at the sound of the word "Daddy." He knew Antonio didn't understand what was happening, and he felt a pang of guilt for not being able to protect him sooner.
"I'm here for you, Antonio," Marcus said softly. "You're not alone. We'll figure out what's going on and make sure you're safe."
As Marcus spoke, Anna returned to the room, her expression somber. "Marcus, the police are on their way. We'll get Maya charged with child endangerment and also for the investigation."
Marcus nodded, his jaw clenched in anger. "Good. She deserves to face the consequences of her actions."
