"I need a ride to check on my niece. Does anyone have any transportation." I asked.
"I got my Harley." Joe said. It would have to do I had to check on things at the house.
Joe dropped me at the house. I told him to come back in two hours. The dam truck was better than the bike. I went inside. Sammie came out of the library.
"You were gone three days, Uncle." She said.
"I know, Sammie, it took longer than expected. I'm sorry."
"It is ok, Rosetta showed me some new recipes, and I have been reading these old books."
"I have to leave again for about a week, then we can go home. Sorry, sweetheart, but this will be over soon."
"No worries Uncle I'm keeping myself busy." Sammie said and went back into the library.
I went and changed my clothes and grabbed some stuff. I got some beer out of the fridge just as Joe started laying on the horn. What was it with people and blasting their horns. I went outside he took my bag and the beer and strapped it onto the bike . We headed back to camp. Now, I just had to figure out when would be the best time to catch them off guard.
EMMA'S POV
My little angel was asleep in her cradle that Dammi had given me to use. Ben was having a meeting with Andrew, Dad, and Drake. I went and got the box's Razer had given me, then gabbed the new books I had got from Amazon. I sat first and sorted the books in order, then I took the first book and crossed my fingers. The pictures came out without ripping or peeling. I must have been at it for about three hours because my angel woke up to be changed and fed. As I fed her, I told her one day she would have a book of memories too. Eden and Bella both came in all excited.
"Mom, guess what we found?" Eden said loudly. I put my finger to my lip for them to be quiet some.
"Sorry." Eden whispered.
"What did you two find?" I asked them.
They held out their hands to show me their lockets. I was surprised. I thought they never took them off. I expressed as much.
"The chains are too short for us to wear them." Bella said.
"If you give them to me, I will get them fixed for you." They passed them to me, and I put them in my pocket. I would feel better them having new ones that once did not have a curse on them.
"Mom, what is our baby sister name?" Bella asked. I smiled at them.
"Your Dad and I have not come to an agreement yet." I told them.
"How long did it take you to name us?” Eden asked.
Well, your dad was very busy, and I did not see much of him, so I named you both myself with the help of Dawn."
"Was he mad you named us without him? Eden asked.
"No, not at all he was relieved I had finally named you both."
"Why? How old were we?" Bella asked.
"I named you both when you were a week old, but your dad did not find out until you were a month old."
"So, mom, do you already have a name for her?" Eden asked.
"Sort of but dad and I have to talk about it. When we had your older brothers and sisters, we said we were never going to name any of you after either of us, but your dad keeps saying he wants to name her Emma Dawn."
"Mom, that is pretty. “Bella said.
"I want her to have her own name." I told them. I got up and changed my little angel and put her in her bassinet. The girls helped me do the photo albums for a while, then went to watch a movie. Life was peaceful for a while.
CHERITY'S POV
I left Dwayne and Andrew's office, jumped on my Harley, and headed to the Diner to meet up with Joe and Darlene to get a progress report. When I walked in I took the booth behind Joe, ordered coffee, and the special of the day. Then, I picked up the old newspaper that was left at the table.
"You guys make the cut?" I asked.
"Even better, he made us both his henchmen." Joe laughed.
"Good to see you both still got it," I said, sipping my coffee.
"Page thirty-seven, you will find everything you need to know." Joe told me. Keeping his eyes on Darlene. I took the envelope and put it in my vest pocket.
"We will hit the house tonight, then get Mats' sister and arrest the niece for attempted murder. I told them. Then I finished my meal paid and left. When I got back to the pack house, I gave Dwayne the envelope. Then, I gabbed a cup of coffee.
"They both get in?" Dwayne asked.
"Did you doubt they would?" I questioned back.
"No, not really, but we know nothing about this guy." Dwayne said seriously.
"I want to hit his house tonight. Get that out of the way." I told them.
"Just tell us what you need, and it is yours." Andrew said.
"I'm going to need two vans, one to transport each girl. I don't want the girl who has been held captive with that murderer."
They said there are ten that they know of. Well, I don't want to go in and find out there is twenty." I told them.
"How many bears you are taking?" Andrew asked.
"I got eight I can take without leaving us unprotected." I told him.
"Ok, we will send in fifteen from each wolf pack. Just give us a time."
"I need to go home and change and see my new angel, so let's say we head there about eight p.m. I will be down by seven forty-five at the latest." I told them.
"Hey, did you name my new grand pup yet?" Dwayne asked.
"No, Emma and I still not agreeing on a name." I said
"What do you want to call her?" Drake asked.
"Emma Dawn, but she is sticking to a pack we made 27 years ago not to name the children with our names."
"But wait, did not Ember and Eden get sort of named after you both." Andrew asked. I thought about that for a minute, umm, maybe." I said.
"Who picked those two names?" Drake asked, laughing.
"Now that I think about it, Emma did."
"I need to talk to that mate of mine." I said as I left. I could hear the four of them laughing as I went down the hall and down the stairs.
to the floor we were staying on, I wondered if that was cheating, mixing our names. Emma, you're a sly one. I thought, two can play at that game. When I entered the bedroom, she was asleep. Hailey was feeding my angel.
