"We got a big problem," I said
"We are kinda busy. What is the problem?"
"Emma overheard Lizzie and Dammi talking, Lizzie said some stuff, and Emma heard it, and she took off," I told him.
"Send the guys to find her bike."
"She did not take her bike." I yelled.
"Where are you?"
"In the garage."
"What is missing?" Dwayne said.
"I got ten kids and fifteen vehicles, dud."
"Think Cherity, look around. Really look. What is missing?"
"I will call you back." I ran into the house and yelled for all the kids.
"What is wrong, Dad?" Alaska asked.
"Come to the garage now, please."
They followed me out to the garage, confused.
"Tell me what is missing, and no, this is not twenty questions. What is missing from the garage?" They were all quiet for a few minutes.
"Dad, you old Harley is gone. What is going on?" Orson asked.
"Well?" Dwayne said, riding in on his Harley.
"She took my old Harley. Where would she have gone, Dwayne?" I asked.
"Gather the boys and gals we have to start looking," Dwayne said.
"Dad, what is going on?" Alaska asked.
"Your mom overheard a conversation she should not have heard and took off." I told them.
"Fuck, I should have seen this coming. You all treat her like a weak human instead of who she is and always has been Emma. I’m going to look for her." Alaska yelled and grabbed his keys, and helmet jumped on his Harley and was gone before I could stop him.
"Damit, Alaska, wait." But he did not hear me he took off down the back of the mountain towards the city.
"The rest of you in the house and stay there let me know if she calls any of you." I told them. I heard Orson but kept my mouth shut.
"Dad, screwed up again. Come on, let's go figure out where mom might have gone.
I opened a link to the community
"All riders pack house now." Maz and Francis came running out of the house.
"Children just told us." Maz said. They got on their bikes, and we went to the pack house.
Dwayne told everyone what happened just as Drake pulled up.
"Lacie called me. Let roll." Drake said.
We sectioned out who would take what roads and directions we would like to find a runaway. Then, we all headed out.
Four hours later, we were all back, and no one had seen any sign of her.
"Is Alaska back?" I asked Orson.
"No, he is not answering his phone either, and Mom's phone is still off, too." Ember said.
I went to our room and sat on the bed.
"Emma, please come home." I begged.
HENRY'S POV
I was getting ready to go see a friend whom I had met recently who might be able to help me with my problem. When my phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Sir Henry, something is going on at the community you got us watching. A bunch of riders took off out of here fast they been gone about two hours now. One or two come back and then leave again."
"Anything happen before that?" I asked.
"Nothing of interest really, someone went down the back of the mountain to the city few hours later a different bike went that way."
"Idiot, how soon after the ones went down the back, did the group go out?" I asked.
"First one down the back, second one down the back about three hours later and then the groups less then an hour after that."
"They got a runaway or two. Keep watch. I have a call to make."
"I picked up the number of the guy I was meeting.
"Thorn?"
"Yes, who is this?" He asked.
"Sir Henry, I'm leaving now to meet you. My guys just reported in some suspicious activity at the community," I told him.
"Leaving now, Henry, same place." He said and hung up. We met up at some smoke filled bar in the west side of town.
"Sir Henry, beer?
"Sure, let's get a table in the back. I think you will be interested in my information." I told him. As we sat at the table, both facing the door, I could smell he was a Bear.
"Why have you come across the ocean to cause you to have dealings with Ben Ray?" Thorn asked. He sure got down to business.
"It is not him. I'm after it is his mate. It is her fault my father and brother are dead. I came to avenge their deaths." I told him.
"When did she kill them?" He asked.
"When I was fifteen years of age, my brother died, not knowing he had a child on the way."
"Who was your brother?"
"Lord Drew." I said.
"Ah, yes, I remember him coming here caused such an uproar. But did he not die at the hands of the magistrate?"
"But it was her testimony that got him killed."
"Did he not kidnap a woman from here and claim she was his wife?"
"This is true, I can't get near her yet, but it was her and Emma's testimony that sentenced him to death." I could see he was thinking.
"I have a way in and out of the community." Then I told him about the strange occurrence that had happened tonight.
"Do you think they will go out again tonight?" He asked.
"I have no doubts they will. It was Emma, his mate who fled to the city."
"Do you know where?"
"Not yet. we are following the second rider who went down the back of the mountain."
"I want her alive, or I will throw you to them myself." Thorn told me.
"My question is why did she leave the safety of the community now that she has no wolf?"
"What are you talking about? She is the silver wolf." Thorn said.
"No, not anymore, two shaman removed her wolf." I told him. Seem he did not know as much as I thought he did.
"When did this happen?" Thorn growled.
"The day she was poisoned, though I still don't know why it did not work, I made sure there was enough to kill three wolves in that vial." I told him.
"You're the one who had her poisoned?" Thorn asked, shocked.
"Like I said, I have my ways to get in and out."
"Tell me when you find her, I will go with you to get her. I still want her alive." Thorn said as he got up and put money on the table for our drinks and left out the door.
