Nelson's POV
"Alpha!" The door of my office burst open and Conri walked in with a worried expression.
"We need to get into the woods now, our men are being attacked as I speak!" He announced, anger written all over his face.
Hearing his words, I got on my feet and walked out of the office followed by Conri.
"How did you get this information?" I asked as we got out of the building along with six guards who stood at the entrance waiting patiently for us.
"One of the wounded men is being taken care of right now in the inn. The rest are still in the woods fighting for their lives" one of the men quickly answered, not giving Conri the chance to.
Deep fury rushed through my veins, quickly, together with the men, we took the shortest route that led us into the woods.
"I can sense them, they are not far away from us" one of the men sniffed really hard as we wandered deeper into the woods.
"The Hunters," Conri muttered to me.
"They won't stop at anything until they get us under their feet." He paused turning to me, "You have to be made Alpha as soon as possible, we don't want to keep delaying this, them knowing that you aren't crown yet will give them the courage to continue with their attacks on our me "
I was way more worried than ever, with us still heading deeper into the woods, the sun will set in no time and we have to get our men back without getting killed.
Phoenix growls.
The smell of thick blood filled my nostrils and I could feel Phoenix trying so hard to come out, it growled so fiercely.
"I can smell them, we need to hurry!" Conri let out growling as well.
Not able to contain the fierce wolf inside of me, my claws elongated sharper than ever with long spiked teeth, deep hairs covered my body and before I realized it, I was running on four feet towards the direction, the smell of thick blood becoming stronger with each pace we too.
Conri and the six men with me also shifted to their werewolf form, angry and ready to attack, we all ran in four feet, our growls filled the woods.
Suddenly, two wolves ran out from.the woods and pounced heavily on Conri. I turned around only to find Conri fighting so hard with so much rage as it gnach its teeth, his claws digging deep into the wolves who growled in pain.
Knowing how strong Conri is, I ran forward, I could smell the wolves not far away from where Conri was attacked and I knew that we weren't far enough.
"Hold tight!" I howled at the werewolves around me. Suddenly, I heard a loud chuckle behind me, I turned around only to find the familiar face of a werewolf staring at me, those familiar silver eyes of his fueled more anger in me.
"Well…Well…Well…" the wolf muttered with a grin on its face.
"Isn't it the handsome, prince charming Nelson of the Fridolf pack, it's really good to see you again? '' he spoke out. Slowly, more of his men joined him growling at me and my men. Their silver eyes shone with evil emphasizing on how ready they were to attack me.
"Enough of this nonsense Jonas! Haven't you done enough?! You have one of my men in your custody and now you attack the other?"
Jonas laughed harder than usual, his men accompanied him with a hard chuckle to the point that it greatly angered me.
"I knew you were going to come. In Fact, I was expecting you to come just like you did when I almost killed that beautiful bride of yours" he spat out, the grin still plastered on him.
The face of Melissa flashed through my mind, along with the day of that event, the day I saved her from the hands of this mouth watering wolf.
"I am not here for pleasantries Jonas, I am here for my men and I need you to bring them forth to me at once!" I ordered, a growl escaped from me.
Jonas burst out chuckling evilly, his silver eyes glittered, he glanced at the men beside him who also joined in his laughter.
"Is it a command or a request from Prince Nelson?"
"I am not here for games" I muttered, ready to attack as I could no longer hold the anger that was about to rip my body into bits.
"Well, here are your men…" Jonas said.
His men dragged some werewolves who were trapped in a tight best, their teeth growls as they tried to rip the best apart but all to no avail
Seeing my men in such a state, my head burst out in anger.
Immediately, I ran towards Jonas and drugged my teeth deep in his flesh. Gripped him with my claws and threw him to a tree, his body hitting it so hard.
Quickly, Jonas got to his feet giving me a deadly stare, he growled and quickly ran towards me scratching his claws right into my flesh, my blood oozed out at once.
With a loud howl, I struck him back, harder than the first, he began to bleed profusely by the side of his face but wasn't giving up the fight.
Conri came out of nowhere and began to attack the other men, ripping them apart into shreds within the blink of an eye. The other werewolves who accompanied us fought vigorously, blood dripping from their mouth as they tore the flesh of their opponent who growls in deep pain.
The grass of the woods filled with blood which flowed endlessly.
With my bleeding arms, I fought so hard throwing Jonas into different parts, my claws ripping his flesh as I bit in so deep, his blood stuck to my face.
"You are going to pay for this, I swear with my blood. You will pay for hurting my men in the first place" I vowed with anger, dug my claws into his chest and I was about to rip Jonas heart out of his chest, I felt a heavy weight on me and deep pain struck me at once.
I growled out in pain, turned around only to find one of Jonas men biting so deep into my bleeding arm. With anger, I flung my hand which dropped him straight to the ground.
Abandoning Jonas, I focused my attention on the already struggling werewolf.
"You shall pay for this!" I howled with bittered eyes and within a flash, I ripped his heart out of his chest, his body covered in a pool of his blood.
"Alpha! He is running away!" One of my men who was tied up screamed drawing my attention.
I turned around only to find Jonas running deep into the woods. I tried to run after him but the pain that I felt from my wound made it hard for me.
"Alpha, you are bleeding!" Conri let out coming close to me.
"Don't worry, I will be fine"
"You are bleeding!" He was really concerned.
I tightened my eyes with a nod, "I will be fine. I will surely get Jonas another time. But for now, let's retire back to the pack, we live to fight again"
"But I can go after him and finish what you have started. He is limping and with the wound you gave to him, he won't have the strength to go that far. This is the perfect time for us to strike without him realizing what hit him" Conri countered ready to fight.
I gazed up at the sky, the sun had already set and the thought of Jonas having more abused men waiting far deeper in the woods. Letting Conri to go after him all by himself is very risky and I won't lead him to a place of his death.
"It's fine Conri, let's go. With the wound inflicted on him, he won't dare to attack anymore…" I paused looking at the dead werewolves lying lifeless on the blood soaked grass.
"Take a look, we killed all his men. This should teach him a lesson not to mess with us anymore" I noted feeling satisfied.
"But what if he does? Jonas is a very strong and revengeful wolf, he will never accept defeat" Conri chipped in really worried.
I turned my gaze to him as I tried to hide the deep pain emitting from my bleeding arm.
"If he does, then, we will be ready for him." I was really assured.
