Chapter 120

Chapter 120
Tiffany told us about her experience so far since she made her feelings known to Orion and asked us for advice on what to do.
"He has been avoiding me," she said.
I had actually wondered why Tiffany could be with me until breakfast time instead of going to see Orion.
Now I understand why.
"Do you think he doesn't feel the same way?" She added.
I couldn't say anything because I did not know what Orion thinks.
Ashley did not advise Tiffany either. Instead, she told us that the person she likes doesn't feel the same way. She went on to tell us the way he had been acting so far.
"He is the reason I am here," Ashley opened up and that was a surprise to me.
That was the last thing I had expected. Tiffany made hers obvious but Ashley... She didn't.
Ashley told us she has also been going to see him; though hers wasn't obvious.
"So, Tiffany, if Orion's attitude towards you is the same, then I think he doesn't like you," she said.
Tiffany stared at me. She must want to hear my opinion too.
I decided to advise them together; they have similar problems.
"I think you both should stop giving them too much attention and see if that would work."
I just thought that if giving them too much attention wasn't getting their attention, then why continue?
Tiffany and Ashley agreed to my advice and promised to try it out. Silence invaded the room and they both stared at me, as if waiting for my own story.
I had no love story to talk about; I am not in love with anyone.
What am I supposed to say?
Ashley broke the silence. She did not ask me about my love story; I was glad about that. Instead, she asked me about my Pack.
I told them a few things I could share and hid the one I wasn't comfortable sharing with them yet. I did not say what happened to me in my Pack, but I told them a few things about how I met Pearl.
"Pearl is coming in today, right?" Tiffany asked and I nodded.
We went on to talk about a few more things. The time went on so quickly and in the blink of an eye, it was already ten. Ashley and Tiffany had to leave to prepare for the orientation, while I lay down on the bed, to wait for Kath.
She came in a few minutes later and helped me prepare a bath. I took my bath and changed into the uniform she had prepared: a Navy blue skirt, a sky blue shirt, and a red tie.
The clothes were so big; I felt so uncomfortable in them.
"Does every other uniform look like this? I mean in size?"
Kath nodded. "Every one of them."
The thought of wearing such big uniforms, not just for a semester but for two and that would last for four years, made me sad.
"But don't worry," Kath said. "It's only for the first year."
I smiled. That is better.
Kath helped me with my hair and I was ready to go. She put some things into my bag, including snacks, two bottles of water, and a bottle of juice.
"There won't be lunch until three," she said. "You can have this while the orientation is ongoing."
I nodded. "Thank you, Kath."
She stared at the wall clock. "It's past eleven. Let's go now so you can settle down early before the orientation starts."
"Are we allowed to go with our phones?"
Kath nodded. "Sure but don't use it during orientation."
I nodded. I do not plan to do that.
I took my phone from the table while Kath took my bag and we left the room. On our way down the stairs, we met Ashley.
We walked to the orientation hall together. We did not leave the dorm building. We only went to the ground floor and then to a hall I presumed to be the orientation hall.
It was a very big hall; maybe big enough for a thousand students.
There were only a few students in it when we got there. We found our way to the seats in the front row.
There wasn't any instruction to sit according to our dorm name or room number, so we kept a seat for Tiffany. Kath and Elora left the hall after they were sure we were okay and did not need anything.
"Do you think Tiffany went to see Orion?" Ashley asked.
I shook my head. "I don't think so. She agreed to stay away from him."
"But why do I feel like..."
"Ashley? Karen?" Tiffany called out.
I smiled. "You are finally here."
"Did you go to see Orion?" Ashley asked. "I guess you did. You broke your promise."
"How did you know we are here?" I asked quickly.
Ashley can be so blunt.
"I did not break my promise," Tiffany answered. "I actually came late because I wanted to get something for you girls."
I furrowed my brows. What could that be?
Tiffany opened her bag and brought out four bracelets.
"These are for us. Pearl will get hers when she comes."
I nodded. "They are beautiful. Thank you, Tiffany."
"Thank you, Tiffany," Ashley said.
Tiffany handed one to me and then one to Ashley. I added it to the bracelet in my hand.
"Your bracelet is beautiful," Tiffany said. "Can I touch it?"
I nodded and she did.
"Where do you get it from?" Ashley asked.
"From a friend."
They nodded but said nothing. Tiffany sat down on the seat we had left for her.
"So," she began. "I..."
Orion came to us. "Hi." He waved.
We all ignored him and he had to walk away.
"Do you believe I did not break my promise now?" Tiffany asked.
"Yes I do," Ashley answered. "And I am sorry I accused you."
Tiffany smiled. "Apology accepted."
The orientation started a few minutes later and lasted for about two hours. By the time we were done, I was so tired and wanted to sleep. We returned to our rooms and I quickly took a shower and lay down on the bed.
I did not know how long I slept but by the time I was awake, Kath had brought in lunch.
"Miss Miranda said you can have your lunch in the room," she said.
I knew that it definitely had to be the Demon King's instruction.
"There is one more thing," she said and I furrowed my brows.
"Two people are coming to join you."
"Who?"
"They..."
We had a knock on the door and Kath smiled. "I think they are here. I will go and open the door."
Kath went to open the door, and two girls walked in. I blinked.
"Pearl? Evelyn?"
Pearl smiled. "We are finally here."
"Not just them," I heard Tiffany's voice.
"And we too," Ashley said, walking in.
I stood up from the bed and ran to hug Pearl and Evelyn.
"It's good to finally have you here."
"It's good to see you too," Evelyn said.
"I have missed you," Pearl said.
