After twenty-four hours, the city seem to change the whispering way. No more those fierce arguments about "who right" or "who must take responsibility".
Now, only a silent obsession: "Why we let this happen?"
The forum still expand, like an unhealed wound. No need Raven touch hand, no need Niko keep rhythm.
The system already pass the initial chaotic phase it run by what Severance never grasp, the sincere, painful acknowledgment.
"Connection count go down," Niko say, voice a little shake, eyes glued to screen. "But each person stay twice as long."
"Because they no more need to prove they exist," Lucas whisper, voice full of thought.
"They just... speak out."
Raven stand before main screen, her heart heavy when look at those data lines now no more cold they twist like memory lines.
A new connection flash up no image, only sound.
"I not remember clear face her," warm male voice ring up, full of nostalgia.
"Only remember smell perfume faint in room. But that sentence... 'Don't let them make you forget.' It still haunt me."
Raven stop, a familiar pain rise.
She know that sentence.
Not because it special deep, but because it repeat, like echo from past.
"There pattern," Lucas say, voice mix surprise when read chart.

"Memory spread like a disease," Niko whisper, eyes shine. "But this disease bring healing."
Kade lean against wall, arm cross tight, face tense.

As to prove, a legal notice appear no overwhelm, only quietly in screen corner:

Lucas snort, but smile not reach eyes.
"They will throw few names out as sacrifice," he say. "And call that justice."
"Not enough," Raven answer, her voice echo deep disappointment. "Never enough, after today."

The never happen now become real.
A side channel open voluntary, no hide.
No anonymous. No encrypted.
A middle-aged woman appear, neat suit, tired but determined eyes, like facing her own shadow.
"I once sit in approval committee," she say, voice shake lightly but clear. "I not sign delete order. But I not stop that happen."
No one interrupt. Control room air heavy, full of waiting.
"I once think myself innocent because I not do anything," she continue, voice choked. "I wrong. Today, I here to say my name."
Her name appear on screen.
Control room silent, breath quick.
Niko whisper: "They step out from safe shadow."
Raven stand still, her heart beat fast.
"Let them free," she say, voice gentle but firm. "Don't make this hunt."
Kade nod, face complex.
"You protect even those who stay silent."
"Silence also choice," Raven answer, sadness pass. "And today, that choice no more room."

“FORUM CAUSING TROUBLE. SUGGEST LIMIT.”
Raven answer only one line, full of challenge.
“TROUBLE IS SIGN OF THINGS BLOCKED.”
A pause.
“YOU GOING TOO FAR.”
Raven look at screen thousand small boxes, people sharing, listening, pain and hope mix.
“LIMIT IS WHAT YOU DRAW WHEN FEAR MEMORY.”
She send it.
No more words, only silent firmness.

Raven leave control room first time after long time. She stand on balcony, cold wind brush wrist where no more control ring trace, but pain still there.
Lucas step out follow, voice gentle.
"What you think about?"
Raven look down square people gather, no shout, no banner. Only silently stand closer, like seek comfort in closeness.
"I think," Raven say slowly, voice full of emotion, "my mother right. Memory no need anyone lead. It just need... not be crushed."
Lucas lean on railing, face thoughtful.
"After thirty days," he say, "they will try close everything."
"Maybe," Raven answer, her eyes shine hope mixed worry. "But then... who will close door?"
Lucas silent.
"Not them," Raven continue, voice sure. "And not me."

"Raven," Niko call, voice excited mixed worry. "Got this... you should see."
On screen, a sub chart appear – not from forum.
But from internal Severance.

"Someone inside... copy data," Niko say. "Not send out. They put into forum."
Lucas frown, voice full of surprise.
"They destroy their own system."
Raven turn back, her eyes shine not joy, not anger, but release.
"No," she say, voice warm. "They escape."
She look at number in screen corner:
WITNESSES CONNECTING: 12.417
"Prepare," Raven say, voice full of determination. "This phase... no more peaceful."
When clock hit 48 HOURS, a new connection flash up mark INTERNAL.
Voice shake but clear ring up:
"I speak from inside Severance. And I not have much time."
Raven step close screen, heart beat fast.
