Monsters
"That wolf needed someone to continue its bloodline and it chose you. Don't trouble yourself. You can never find that wolf again neither can your werewolf abilities be reversed." Ilse gave her final words before she threw her door close.
Duran sighed, ruffling his hair roughly. "I am doomed, Alvis. I am doomed!" He muttered, wiping his face every now and then. A blind man would know he was restless about the whole issue. "How can I be a werewolf, dude? How?" It was messing with his head.
Alvis could feel his best friend's trouble. It isn't easy transforming from a normal human being to becoming a werewolf overnight. "I would probably run insane." Alvis muttered, trying to think he is in Duran's shoes. It's like a predicament.
Ilse's words repeated uncountable times in Duran's head. He didn't know what to think. How does he live with it? His school and career would end. Werewolves can't live amongst humans right? Which directly meant the woods was his home as a werewolf.
"What do I do, Alvis?" Duran was crying. Who does he explain to? Where does he start from? From his home, the woods? Never! "Duran, you haven't told me where this wolf had bitten you." Alvis had to ask. Maybe there is still something they can do.
Duran swallowed, "There are a group of five friends ---" He started. Alvis pulled a chair to sit across him, listening attentively. "Four males and a female. I am the fifth friend and was the only human amongst them." He continued explaining, remembering he wasn't human anymore.
Alvis was very interested, "You are -- I mean, you were the only human?" He asked, trying not to feel confused and Duran nodded. "One day, one of us fell sick and we took him to that woman, Ilse." He moved on, "The only way was for us to try to save our friend by going into a forest to pick some ingredients."
"So, how did this wolf bite you? If it was a forest, why did the woman say we can't find it again?" Alvis was really confused now. "I mean, we can't recognize it when we see a pack of wolves but it shouldn't disappear away from the forest just like that right?" He flung his hands, indicating he didn't understand.
Duran sighed, "That forest is like something that doesn't exist. It's almost impossible to enter into it." ---- "How did you and your non human friends get in the forest then?" Alvis threw the question back at him. "Ilse opened a spell portal for us and that was how we got in." Alvis nodded, finally understanding the whole thing.
"I was told not to run but I was scared because the wolf's gaze was on me so I ran. Whilst on the run, it overpowered me and that was how the wolf bit me." Duran wrapped up the explanation, feeling tired of thinking.
"How come the wolf now disappeared? Can't she just call on the spell portal so we can look for the wolf in the forest? It's a werewolf so it should be able to become human right? We ask him questions and boom, you'll be free to go." Alvis clapped, demonstrating all the steps.
Duran shook his head, "The portal can only be opened once for each person. I and my friends already used up our chances. There's no way to find the wolf." He recounted Ilse's words to his friend. Alvis lifted his eyes which glinted with hope, "I haven't used up my chance. I can enter the forest and look for the wolf for you." He suggested.

Jorgenson, Taylor and Sir Rolland's bodyguard landed roughly in the forest but without injuring themselves, those parachutes served their purposes. "Hey! What's the name?" Jorgenson asked, clicking his fingers towards the guy.
"George sir. My name is George ---" Taylor motioned for him to keep quiet slowly, not waiting for him to finish his words. George slowly turned backwards without making a sound. A snake monster was right above his head.
"We are fucking dead, boss." George whispered shakily. "Quiet! Move away from it as quiet as you can." Jorgenson indicated, his eyes not leaving the monster for a second. The large snake monster rolled out its tongue, lowering its head which made them halt.
Jorgenson tried to study the snake; why wasn't it attacking them? Why does it seem like it's debating if they were his preys or not? Well, he smirked when he finally got the answer. "The snake is blind." He whispered, pointing to the snake's eye so the others will understand..
Indeed, those eyes were white which meant it has probably been blind since its mother's egg hatches him. The moment the snake lowered its head again, this time, widening its mouth. "Hold your breath for as long as you can." Jorgenson gave the instruction using sign language because any slight noise from them, they are dead so it's up to anyone that doesn't understand the way he explained.
Hot air blew out of the snake's throat. Their eyes were closed as they all held their breath. In another minute, the blind snake monster crawled away. "Goodness!" Taylor had almost suffocated while George rushed somewhere to ease himself.
Taylor didn't know when he started laughing. Who the hell wouldn't pee on himself when staring at a snake monster in the face? Probably another monster from the family of snakes. "We have to find Cameron and Code." Jorgenson said, they had to keep moving.
"Is that necessary? We don't even know where they are. They should find their way just like we'll find ours." Taylor tried to give his envy expression away. Cameron could get eaten by the Quetzalcoatl or even the snake monster for all he cares.
Jorgenson didn't want Cameron or Code to die but Taylor actually had a reasonable point - the journey would be long and rough if he decided they look for the others. Who knows if another monster is on the way, waiting for them.
Cameron was still standing on top of the turtle dinosaur, he tried to maintain position without falling because the animal wasn't taking it easy at all. At last, the animal raised two of its paws aggressively, making him fall roughly inside the water.
The animal regaining itself once more, it jumped right into the water. It sped underneath the water, swimming right outside with force. It roared so loudly that Cameron almost peed in his pants. It felt like entering the water made it regain two times the strength it had earlier.
Cameron stepped out of the water. The animal raised its paws again, running towards him. "Hold on, Cameron...." Code was still struggling to get to where the weapon was, his wounded arm and leg was taking a toll on him.
"You have to hurry!" Cameron gritted, his hands connecting to the animal's paws. His hands were obviously small compared to the monster's but he still wanted to try to make it weak. He snapped his feet on the ground backwards, making his stance a bit solid.
The animal paws was strong, Cameron's vampire hands competed with it. The animal growled angrily, which made the vampire lose his stance, his legs drifted backwards on the sandy ground. In a one throw, "Catch!" Code pulled out a large two-faced spear, Cameron removed his hands from the animal paws and caught it swiftly.
Cameron tapped his left leg on the ground with force before diving forward with his other leg, sliding on the sand towards the monster. In a second, the spear was stuck in its stomach. It roared very loud, shaking the whole cave. "One more strike, brother, one more." Code was getting weaker by each passing second, he has lost lots of blood.
Cameron removed the spear and rotated round the animal who was going mad with anger, two times. He threw the spear to the ground, that it was attached straight in the sand while he used it jump on the animal's back again. In the next second, the spear was thrusted into the monster and the second phase of the spear came out under.
The vampire returned to a normal human as he jumped down from the back of the animal. The cave shook from the impact of a certain fall. At last, the turtle dinosaur was down, dead. They both breath in relief, "Let's get outta here before another insane animal attacks us." Cameron rushed to where Code was.
The dude was barely alive, Cameron had to tap his face. "Dude! Wake up. We have to leave, now!" He shouted and Code's eyes snapped open for a second. "You are not human." He started slowly.
"The hot bath. The sixty two bullets. Red eyes, claws, black stretchy marks and that insane strength---" "----I've seen someone like you before, a pure gene vampire." Cameron's eyes widened at that last statement before Code passed out.
