Chapter 160: Passionate Youth
Chapter 160: Passionate Youth
Alvin spun around and headed back to the restaurant, tossing a casual remark to the woman who had just stumbled in, "Hey there, gorgeous, your buddy already bailed. You thinking about leaving too?"
Megan shot him a glare, and Alvin couldn't help but enjoy the feeling of a girl being jealous over him.
Pointing to the door, Alvin said, "Time to go. This is a family thing, and we’re not really into having strangers crash it."
Alvin figured that, judging by the guy who wet his pants earlier, they weren't much of a threat. Just getting her to leave would be enough.
The stunning woman grabbed Leonardo's arm and said nervously, "I'm their friend. Someone told me they were in trouble, so I came to check on them."
Alvin shrugged and said, "Well, you've seen them now. They're fine. You can head out. They'll be back soon too. So, can you say goodbye now, beautiful?"
Seeing that the folks in the restaurant didn't seem as scary as the two big dogs at the door, the woman fixed her hair, flashed a bright professional smile, extended her hand to Alvin, and said, "Hi, I'm April, a reporter from ABC News, and a friend of Leonardo's."
Alvin looked at the bold reporter with a half-smile, ignoring her hand. Reporters were always trouble, whether in movies or real life. Knowing she was a reporter, even if she was beautiful, Alvin lost interest.
Luckily, Tony was a smooth operator. He walked over, shook April's hand warmly, and said with a friendly grin, "Hey, April. I'm Tony. How come I didn't know there were such beautiful reporters at the news station? You can call me Tony. You know who I am, right?"
April didn't get mad at Alvin's brush-off, acting very much like a "reporter." She turned to Tony with a smile and said, "Of course, Mr. Stark. You're one of the most famous people in the country. If possible, maybe we could schedule an exclusive interview. I'm sure many people would love to know the real Iron Man."
Alvin went back to the bar and got a rewarding kiss from Megan.
Holding Megan's waist, Alvin said to Pepper beside him, "Need me to lend you a gun? Whether you want to take out Tony or that reporter, I got your back!"
Megan punched Alvin, signaling him to stop causing trouble, as Pepper looked really pissed.
An annoyed Pepper stomped over to Tony in her high heels, raised her chin high, squeezed out a smile at April, and said coldly, "Sorry, Ms. Reporter, today is a family gathering for the restaurant owner. Please leave. If you want an interview, you can call me to schedule a time."
Pepper's performance surprised Alvin. Her haughty demeanor reminded him of "The Devil Wears Prada," where the female boss was just as infuriating as Tony was when Alvin first met him.
April clearly wasn't going to give up easily. Having finally gotten in, seen that the turtles were fine, and encountered the country's top newsmaker, a good reporter wouldn't miss this chance.
With a professional smile, April said politely, "I thought having an appointment with Mr. Stark would be enough. And I'm a friend of Leonardo's. Since they can attend, why can't I? Tony, don't you agree?"
Tony, trying to keep his cool under Pepper's murderous gaze, shrugged and said, "If it's just an interview, you might really need to schedule it. But if you really want to stay, I have no objections. We can have a drink later."
Jack, watching the scene, let out a disappointed sigh. He envied Tony's way with women, but unfortunately, it was something most people couldn't learn. Tony's response bummed him out a bit.
Frank, already fed up, walked to the restaurant door, closed it, and turned to the turtles, saying, "Let's get started. We've wasted too much time today. My kid needs to go to bed early."Alvin, who was about to say something, just grinned. He had only wanted to get rid of the reporter. Since Frank had spoken up, it was better to wrap things up quickly so everyone could have a drink and call it a day.
Just a reporter, and the turtles didn't seem to mind, so Alvin wouldn't stress too much. Reporters are a pain, but they shouldn't be able to dig up anything on him.
Raphael bumped fists with Ginny and was the first to step into the center of the restaurant. The dining table had been smashed by Samuel last night, leaving the place wide open, perfect for a one-on-one showdown.
Glaring at Jack, Raphael raised his hand, flipped him the bird, then twirled two wooden sticks that replaced his sais, and shouted, "Come on, jerk. I'm gonna kick your ass."
Jack cracked his neck, making a "crack, crack" sound, grabbed a wooden baseball bat from the bar, and walked towards Raphael with a fierce grin.
He was pissed too. The garlic smell on him still wouldn't wash off, and everything he ate tasted like garlic, driving him nuts. Beating up one of the culprits would definitely make him feel better.
The two little ones stood on the turtles' side, waving their fists and cheering for Raphael. They really liked these big guys, especially Raphael, who always seemed grumpy. Maybe beating Jack would cheer him up.
Jack bared his teeth at the two little ones in a threatening manner and signaled to Frank to control his son.
Frank shrugged helplessly. He felt ashamed because he couldn't help Nick with his homework, thus losing his father's authority.
Jessica, dressed in black pants and a white shirt, was the referee tonight.
She rolled up her shirt sleeves to her elbows, revealing a "tattoo" she had just put on an hour ago, which she had specifically asked Alvin to help her choose. It made her look very much like a gang member!
Jessica, holding a Remington, walked up to Jack and Raphael with a serious expression and said, "Personal grudges are settled with fists. According to our Hellfire Boulevard rules, whoever loses is wrong, and the loser has to pay the price."
"Anyone who tries to back out—" Jessica cocked the Remington with a "click," "will face the consequences!"
Samuel and Peter looked at Jessica with envy, thinking she was extremely cool at the moment.
Ginny cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted to Jessica, "Jessica, you're awesome!"
Michelangelo was clearly smitten with Jessica. He elbowed Donatello and said, "Why couldn't we have met such a cool girl earlier?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Michelangelo was stepped on by the annoyed April in high heels, letting out a cry of pain.
April, having just been rebuffed by Pepper, was already unhappy. Now, seeing another super cool girl captivating the turtles made her even more upset!
Jessica turned around stylishly and made a throat-slitting gesture to Nick, signaling that he was a traitor and he was done for!
Nick shivered involuntarily. Jessica was indeed very cool at the moment, with her bright red lips looking quite intimidating!
Samuel, for some reason, suddenly blushed, clenched his fists, and muttered, "Is this what a gang is like?"
Alvin looked at Samuel like he was an idiot, thinking the kid had a screw loose. Jessica had watched old Westerns for half a day in her room just for those few lines.
Samuel, getting all fired up over a few silly lines, reminded Alvin of a classmate from his past life.
This guy was obsessed with gangster movies, imitating the arrogant behavior of gang leaders, and ended up getting stabbed in the back. Even during intimate moments, his heavy breathing made people fear he might drop dead!
Alvin felt responsible for guiding Samuel onto the right path. Otherwise, this hot-blooded youth wouldn't be able to resist the allure of gang life, especially with his family history of gang involvement.
Thinking this, Alvin was moved by his own sense of duty. Being a principal really could change lives.
