Epilogue

**Epilogue**

"Sab, you shouldn't be picking up heavy stuff," Travis said firmly as he swooped in and lifted Sabrina's hand away from the floor.

"Relax, Nio. It's just a crayon I'm picking up for Wynter," Sabrina replied with an exasperated shake of her head.

"You do remember that your due date is in a week, don't you?" Travis scolded gently, his brows furrowing.

"I know, but picking up a pencil isn't going to hurt," she countered, rolling her eyes.

Ever since Sabrina told him about her pregnancy, Travis had barely let her lift a finger. She hadn't set foot in her office for the past month, per his insistence, and her every move at home was met with his hovering presence.

Wynter, now five years old, was beyond excited to meet her baby brother. The gender reveal had been a spectacular affair, filled with laughter, cheers, and an overwhelming sense of joy.

"Anyway, sit down and relax," Travis said as he gently guided her to the sofa, making sure she was comfortably seated.

"If I relax any more, I'll look even more like what Wynter says I do," Sabrina grumbled, settling into the cushions.

She had gained a fair amount of weight during her pregnancy, and Wynter's innocent observation about her looking like she was hiding a watermelon under her clothes had sent everyone into fits of laughter. Sabrina had patiently explained that her baby brother was inside her, which was why she looked rounder.

"I don't care about that," Travis said softly, kneeling before her. "In fact, I think I like you better like this."

He cupped her growing belly and kissed it affectionately before resting his head against it, listening for the faint heartbeat he had come to adore.

"What are we going to call my baby brother, Daddy?" Wynter asked, skipping into the room with her stuffed unicorn, Uni, in tow.

"Oh, we haven't decided on a name yet," Sabrina said, glancing at Travis.

"Well," Travis began dramatically, turning to Wynter, "since I already have my Princess, I'm thinking we call him 'Prince.' I mean, I'm the King, and I've got my Queen by my side."

Sabrina gave him a playful glare. "Of course, you'd want to call him that. But we need a real name, not a title."

Travis chuckled and turned back to Wynter. "What about you, Princess? Do you have any ideas for your brother's name?"

Wynter, distracted by one-year-old Ellies, who was snuggling her beloved Uni, didn't respond at first.

"Love, do you want to help pick a name for your brother?" Sabrina prompted again, successfully reclaiming Wynter's attention this time.

Wynter's face lit up. "Can we call him Travis, Mama Iris?"

Travis grinned, clearly amused. "She wants to name everything Travis. You can tell how much she loves me."

"Why do you want to name everything after Daddy, baby?" Sabrina asked with a chuckle. "I'd rather our son have a name that matches mine."

"And I'd prefer his name to match mine," Travis retorted, smirking at her.

Wynter suddenly changed her mind. "No, I want to name him Ellies!" she declared enthusiastically.

Sabrina laughed. "She changes her mind every five seconds. I wonder where she gets that from."

Travis raised his hands defensively. "Hey, don't look at me! You're the one with mood swings lately."

Sabrina shot him a playful glare but couldn't suppress her smile.

"Okay, okay," Travis said, holding up a hand in mock surrender. "Let's all come up with some names, and then we'll vote on which one is the best. Deal?"

Sabrina nodded, leaning back thoughtfully as she began brainstorming. After a few moments, her eyes lit up.

"I think I have the perfect name," she said with a smile, glancing at Travis and Wynter.

"All right," Travis and Sabrina agreed in unison.

"I've got a name, and I'm sure you'll like it," Travis said confidently.

"I've got one too," Sabrina replied with a smile.

They decided to shout their choices at the same time.

"Harris!" they both called out in perfect synchronization.

A moment of silence passed before they burst into laughter.

"See? We have the same taste," Travis teased as he kissed Sabrina on the cheek.

"Does that name sound good to you, baby?" Sabrina asked Wynter, who was perched beside them.

"Yes, Mama Iris!" Wynter said eagerly, her face lighting up.

"At least it matches all of our names-yours, mine, Den's, and even Ellies'," Travis said with a grin.

Sabrina nodded in agreement. "Yes, Harris King it is. That's our son's name."

The next day, Mark and Chris came over to visit. They had missed Sabrina and wanted to check in on her.

As they lounged on the sofa, Wynter kept Mark entertained with her endless chatter while Chris caught up with Sabrina.

"So, everything is clear on that front now?" Sabrina asked, referring to some work-related matters.

"Yes," Mark replied. "Our Chicago branch is doing well under the new administration."

"That's great-Ahh!" Sabrina's sentence was cut short as a sudden, sharp pain shot through her abdomen.

"Mama Iris!" Wynter cried out, running to her mother with concern.

Sabrina clutched her stomach, her face pale and her voice trembling. "I... I think he's coming..."

"What's coming?" Mark asked, clearly confused.

Chris smacked him lightly on the back of the head. "Her labor has started! We need to get her to the hospital immediately!"

Mark jumped into action, preparing his car, while Wynter called Travis, who was at the office.

Sabrina was carefully placed into the car and rushed to the hospital. Upon arrival, she was transferred onto a stretcher, her face damp with sweat and etched with pain.

When Travis received the call, he panicked. Heart racing, he sped towards the hospital, his mind consumed with worry for both Sabrina and their unborn child.

Travis arrived just as Mark and Chris were wheeling Sabrina into the hospital. Her teary eyes immediately found him.

"Sab!" he called out, rushing to her side.

"Nio," Sabrina sobbed, reaching for him.

Grasping her hand, Travis stayed close as they took her into the labor room. Despite the doctors' protocols allowing only one person inside, he was determined to be there with her.

Wynter stayed outside with Mark and Chris, her tiny hands clutching Uni tightly as she anxiously awaited news.

Inside, Travis held Sabrina's hand through every agonizing moment, whispering words of encouragement and love.

"You're doing amazing, Sab. Just a little longer," he murmured, brushing her damp hair back from her face.

"I... I can't," Sabrina whimpered, her strength fading.

"Yes, you can," Travis said firmly, his voice steady despite his own nerves. "For our baby, for Wynter, and for us. Just one more push, Love."

With his encouragement, Sabrina mustered all her strength and pushed one last time.

The room was filled with the sound of a baby's first cry. Sabrina collapsed back onto the bed, utterly exhausted.

A nurse approached them with a tiny bundle wrapped snugly in a white towel.

"Mr. King, here's your boy," she said with a warm smile, handing the baby to Travis.

Tears streamed down Travis's face as he cradled his newborn son for the first time. The baby let out soft whimpers, his tiny lips forming a delicate pout that melted Travis's heart.

"You're perfect," Travis whispered, overwhelmed by emotion.

Noticing that Sabrina was regaining consciousness, he walked over to her, carefully holding their son.

"Sab," he said gently, kneeling beside her.

Sabrina's eyes glistened with tears of joy as she cradled her newborn son in her arms. The moment she saw his delicate, angelic face, all the pain of labor melted away.

"He's so tiny," she whispered softly, her hand brushing gently across his warm cheek.

"Look, he's opening his eyes!" Travis exclaimed, his excitement barely contained. "He looks just like me... but he's got your nose," he added, a proud smile lighting up his face.

Sabrina chuckled through her tears. "Yes, he does." She hugged the baby close to her chest, savoring the overwhelming love she felt. Turning to Travis, she said with a tender smile, "Happy Birthday, Nio."

Travis froze for a moment, his expression shifting to surprise. "Wait... is it really my birthday today?"

Sabrina nodded. "Yes, I was planning to surprise you with a celebration, but it seems like our little lion decided he wanted to be part of the festivities."

Travis's eyes widened, and a broad grin spread across his face. "Oh my goodness... this is the best thing that's ever happened to me. My son and I share the same birthday!" He beamed with delight, still in awe of the moment.

Sabrina laughed softly. "Yes, you do." She gently placed Harris back in his arms. "Now, can you call Wynter inside? She's been so excited to meet her brother."

Travis nodded, carefully placing Harris on Sabrina's chest before stepping outside to fetch Wynter, Mark, and Chris.

As soon as Wynter entered, she rushed to Sabrina's bedside. The little girl paused, blinking curiously at the tiny bundle cradled in her mother's arms. Her wide, fascinated eyes darted between her brother and Sabrina.

"Come on, say hello to him," Sabrina encouraged, her voice gentle.

Wynter hesitated but eventually reached out a small hand to touch her brother's soft cheek. When Harris squirmed slightly, she quickly pulled her hand back, startled.

Sabrina laughed and wrapped an arm around her daughter. "It's okay, love. He likes you."

"Mama Iris, he's so small," Wynter whispered in awe.

"Yes, baby, and you were just as small when you were born," Sabrina replied with a fond smile, planting a kiss on Wynter's head.

Chris nudged her way toward Sabrina, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Oh my God, he's adorable!" Chris gasped, holding out her arms eagerly. Sabrina smiled and carefully handed Harris over to her.

Mark watched with a smirk. "So, what's his name, baby girl?" he asked Sabrina.

Before she could answer, Travis chimed in proudly. "His name is Harris King. Harris Jayden King."

Sabrina's mouth fell open in surprise. "Jayden? Did you name him after my father?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Travis knelt beside her and nodded. "Yes, my love. He's a gift from God, just like your father was to your family. And Harris because he's going to rule his life like a king."

Sabrina's tears flowed freely as she smiled. "That's beautiful," she whispered, overcome with emotion.

Mark clapped his hands together. "This is all very sweet, but I need to capture this moment for the history books."

Chris laughed as she handed Harris back to Sabrina and grabbed her phone. "Alright, everyone, gather around! It's time for a family picture."

Travis leaned in, wrapping one arm around Sabrina and the other around Wynter. Sabrina held Harris close, and Wynter hugged her mother's side tightly.

Travis looked at Sabrina with love-filled eyes. "Thank you for bringing me so much joy and for making me the luckiest man alive," he said softly, kissing her cheek.

Sabrina turned to him, her heart full. "And thank you for making all of my dreams come true."

Chris held up her phone. "Okay, smile, everyone!"

The family beamed as Chris snapped the photo, capturing the moment that would live in their hearts forever.

Then, just as the shutter clicked, Travis leaned in and kissed Sabrina on the lips, making everyone laugh, including Chris and Mark.

"Classic Travis," Mark teased, shaking his head.

"Hey, can you blame me?" Travis replied, grinning. "I've got everything I've ever wanted right here."

And in that room, filled with love, laughter, and new beginnings, the King family's story continued, brighter and fuller than ever before.
