Chapter 20 Power
Kenzie woke up and felt really off balance and couldn’t explain it.
“Are you ok?”
“I’m not sure. I feel kind of funny.”
“Maybe you are just hungry or something.”
“No, I don’t feel hungry, I feel full and like I have way too much energy and not sure what to do with it. I can feel what you are feeling right now Adam. The more you are feeling it seems that I am getting more hyped up even more.”
“That sounds like you are becoming an incubus what else are you feeling?”
“I feel stronger than I did before and I can smell coffee from your house. This isn’t right how I am feeling right now.”
“Let’s get Sam over here and talk to him and see what we can do. It could be this is some of the powers coming forward. I just am not sure about it Kenzie. All I know is that we will figure this out.”
“Let’s get coffee and some breakfast and call Sam and everyone so we can talk about what’s going on with you.”
“That sounds like a good place to start.”
“Let’s go get you something to eat.”
“I just want a cup of coffee.”
So went to the kitchen and called Sam to and woke the rest up so they could talk about how Kenzie was feeling.
“Hey you seem different. What is going on?” Sami asked with a worried look on her face.
“I woke up not feeling totally like myself. I can feel everything that all of you are feeling right now. I can since what you guys are thinking as well. I feel kind of stronger, and I can smell a little better then I use too. The way all of you are feeling it is giving me energy.”
We all heard a noise outside in the front yard.
“What is all that noise outside?”
When they walked outside they saw two dogs, a horse, a cat, and a wolf sitting in the yard.
“Why are all the animals here are?” Asked ShaSha a little confused.
They thought I was in trouble so they came to help me.
“How do you know that Kenzie?” Asked Conner with questions in her eyes.
“I can hear them ask me if I am ok. I can feel them wanting to help me. I am able to talk to them through my mind. I told them that I am ok and that right now I am fine, but they want to check the grounds and the horse is staying just in case I need to get away through the woods.”
“Wow this is not what I expected you to tell me.” Conner said with shock written all over her face.
“You shouldn’t be able to do this” Dillion said plainly.
“Only shape shifters are usually ones who can talk to animals.”
“No, that is not always true.” Stated Trent
“How is that not true?” Dillion wondered.
“We are the shifters we should know that we are the only ones who can talk to animals.”
“No some of the master vampires can control animals.”
“I didn’t know that they could do that at all.”
“Yes some can do more than that.” Trent confirmed.
“We just have to figure out how and what else can Kenzie do. If she turns out to be like a master vampire before she is turned then that means she is going to be the FIRST MASTER VAMPIRE turned and being new at that. A master vampire takes years and years to become one. You don’t usually just be one at all.”
“This is just great. Just what I needed more of a reason for them to come after me.”
Kenzie screamed out of desperation.
“So you guys think I am becoming a master vampire before I am even turned. Is that my understanding of all this?”
“No I think you will finish being a master vampire once you turn.”
“How is that even possible?”
“I don’t know just yet. I would like to take your blood again and see what is changed with the last blood test that I did on you. I also want to do another pregnancies test on you so we can just make sure that hasn’t changed at all.”
“Why would anything change now?”
“Well I am just assumed that you and Adam have had sex since the last test was done.”
“Well yes we have, but does that mean I could still be pregnant with that monsters baby or Adam’s baby.”
“Well I would have to say it would be Adam’s baby. We will know let’s just take the blood test and see what we have you may not even be pregnant yet at this point.”
“Well let’s find out now and stop playing around.”
“Ok sit down and let me draw your blood so I can start the test.”
“Sam you are so bossy at times.”
“They all laughed at that.”
“Ok now that you have all the jokes out of the way maybe you will finally sit down for me so I can have the blood for the test unless you don’t want to know.”
“Ok, Ok cool your jets. Here is my arm take the blood and make it quick.”
“Ok I have what I need to do the test now and I should know within a few hours. So relax and I will be back.”
“Hey Sam.”
“What?”
“Thank you so much.”
“No problem Kenzie.”
“What do you think will happen to me once I’m turned does that mean my powers will become stronger?”
“Will I be what you guys call a master vampire? Kenzie we are not sure on any of that. You are the first who has been forced to have their power brought forth before they was ever turned and you seem to have more powers then a newborn usually has. So I am beginning to think yes you will be a master vampire when you do turn.” Adam said.
“It will make you a force to be reckoned with. I think that is why they did it and was trying to get you on their side. Because if it comes to a fight and you get your powers under control they will not be able to touch you at all. This is all so confusing to me and I am just not sure what I am feeling right now.” Trent stated with anger in his eyes but with concern as well.
“I can’t understand that because you have me feeling weird as well.”
“Yeah us too.”
“Kenzie what are you thinking about right now?”
“I am just worried and scared a little, why?”
“I have strong feelings of that right now.”
“So do I.”
“And us too.”
“Are you saying that I am making you feel what I am feeling?”
“I think that is exactly what you are doing.” Said ShaSha.
“I will go over and tell Sam that she has a new power now.” Conner said.
“I wonder how many more powers she will have once this is all done with.”
“That will be very hard to tell. If she is a master vampire when she turns it could be unlimited.”
“No one really knows how many powers a master vampire has. Plus she will be the first of her kind. It will be very interesting to see what happens when she turns.”
“Well I am back and I hear you have a new power on top of the rest. I think you are going to be a master and your blood has changed. There is a purple tint to it now and it has an electric charge to it as well. Which makes it hard to tell at this point if you are pregnant or not. We will have to give it a few more days and let your powers settle down and you will have to start learning control over them. Adam you might want to think about how soon you want to turn Kenzie. It could help her get better control over her powers. But it could also make her a master vampire and draw other master vampires to her so they can see her and try to be her mate. Which a master vampire can take another’s mate as their own once the vampire she is mated to is dead. So we need to be very careful on what we do from here on out. But if they would try and kill you Adam all that is going to do is make her powers grow faster and she could end up killing the other master vampires.” “But let’s work on teaching her control and see what all she can do before we talk about her getting turned before we are ever married.”
“What should we start with first?”
“Let’s start with you feeding off our energy. This means you are part incubus and that is not something a master vampire does usually. Then we can move on to animal control and sending your feelings to others. We can also work on your strength and speed. That should help with us to see how your endurance has improved and your resistance. We already know you have the improved senses. It will all come together soon.”
“Maybe we can get all this done before Jake and his mate comes home. Which has anyone heard form Jake?”
“No one has heard from him in over three weeks. Conner can you see if you can get a feed on him?” Sure can Adam.
