Chapter 70 CHAPTER 70

Chapter 70 CHAPTER 70
I had no idea what all of this meant now, was I now the dirty secret of an Instructor?

No, he is very much willing to announce it to everyone, I'm the one terrified to my bones of what this secret will cause.

As I prepared for mountain climbing the next morning, I feared that people would smell our essence on the trail and make the connections.

“Is Asher still on this?” Akua interrupted my train of thought, walking into the room with a box.

I rolled my eyes. “I've told him I'm not interested in all of this. He'll meet it all in the same place as everything else.”

“But you should consider him Alira, it's your best bet,” Erin advised, her eyes a bit misty.

“No he's not,” I grumbled, Zade's face filling my head.

Heavens above, the man is beautiful and instantly made me feel better.

“What do you mean? Have you gotten someone else?”

“Are you saying women can't make it on their own on your planet?”

“Oh we can and do make it but for someone like you, it's best to have security first. In case…” she trailed off and I looked at her.

“One moment you're telling me I'm strong, the next you think I should whore myself out for survival. Pick a struggle Erin.”

“No, that's not what I mean. Oh my stars, that's not what I mean at all. You don't have to fall for him, just hear him out, that's all I'm suggesting. You might actually like him.”

“I've listened to him. I don't like him. Are we going to class or not?”

“That's another thing I wanted to tell you,” Akua interjected.

“What's that?”

“The Principal asked me to call you. He's waiting outside.”

Oh.

“Did he say why?” I asked, already heading towards the door.

She shrugged and went back to picking up her bags.

Some girls looked at me as I stepped out and I couldn't help becoming self conscious.

What were they thinking?

But Erin rode with him just yesterday, I'm clearly overthinking this.

When I saw Styx, my heart flooded with joy as usual and I rushed towards her.

“I'm sorry, I forgot to pick an apple for you,” I said as I hugged the excited beast, “I promise I won't let that happen again okay?”

She nudged my chest and stayed still for a few seconds.

“Are you both done bonding? The doctor isn't a patient man,” Principal Draco cut in, and I jerked back.

“Sorry,” I muttered and gave Styx one last wink before heading towards the back.

“Where are you going?”

I paused, confused and I looked up at him.

“I thought I was riding with you?”

“Yes, you are. Walk back to my front.”

“I thought –”

“I don't have the time for arguments Alira, get back here.”

My feet moved before my mind comprehended it and in seconds, his shadows moved me expertly onto his front.

I heard sounds from the girls in the hostel and my cheeks went molten red.

Embarrassment was the least of my worries because as usual, the Principal began shifting uncontrollably and I felt his length harden behind me.

His hand tightened around Styx so hard I pitied the Steed.

“Let me hold her?”

“No!”

“Fine but you're killing her,” I grumbled, confused by his hot and cold demeanour.

Well, he's basically cold, it's his dick that's doing all the hotness, poking my back and giving me ideas that didn't belong in my head.

Gods, what will Zade think if he sees us right now?

Only seeing the calling stone in my possession had him looking at me like I was cheating on him.

I still couldn't allow myself to name what we have going on even though he'd made it clear what it was.

I mean, I'm literally getting wet at the Principal's dick touching my butt, what kind of girlfriend, Soul Tie or whatever it is, does that?

“We're here,” the male confusing my existence announced, and I noticed he pinched his dick, a harsh air escaping his mouth and ruffling my hair.

“What will he do to me?” I asked, actually realising I was about to be made to see a doctor.

One sanctioned by the King.

What if the process is invasive?

I remembered my encounter with the scientist and I forced myself to take deep breaths.

That's not going to happen again, Principal Draco won't allow that happen to me.

I don't know why I trust him with my safety, I just did. I've been making a lot of stupid decisions based on that.

“He's going to try to figure out your lineage. Don't fret over it, he'll be staying here for a bit so he's probably just going to take your blood and that's it for now.”

I nodded and waited for him to arrange himself and get down from the Steed, and it took him another minute to get his eyes back to normal.

I forced my eyes to look at anything else but him. He can try to pretend I don't affect him for all I care, I was falling for another man anyway and he wasn't confused about me or trying to rein in his emotions.

But damn, I so desperately wanted to tear the Principal's restraint to shreds, I wondered what it would take.

Even though I should be doing anything but that.

“Let's go,” he finally announced and I went after him.

It wasn't his office but it was in the same building, a small office that I realised was quickly set up for the man in question as the evidence of fresh cleaning was all over the place.

“This is Dr Marick,” the Principal introduced, pointing to a more human than dragon kin male with porcelain skin and white blonde hair and a nose piercing.

“Hello sir,” I greeted and he frowned.

“What is heluu?”

“She's just greeting you. It's high land Pallavi. Alira, you'll have to be patient with him, he doesn't understand the language as most of us do. Apparently, the King met him on one of his travels when he was younger and he's been his doctor since then.”

“And he still hasn't learned Pallavi?” I frowned, remembering that the king has been ruling for almost two hundred years now.

“It's difficult language,” the doctor answered gruffly. “Ready for test now?”

“I thought you were just taking blood from me?”

“No. Sit down. You go sir, she comes back to you after.”

I tensed, feeling uneasy instantly.

“Are you sure Doctor?”

“I'm not going to kill her, you go. Process too long.”

“I don't mind waiting for –”

“Privacy!” He snapped, and I was going to say I didn't mind but I thought about it again.

I don't think the doctor will understand why I was cool with the Principal seeing me naked.

If only he knew I craved it in fact.

“You have the stone Alira,” the Principal gave in, “let me know if anything happens, I'm in my office.”

The second he left, the doctor locked the door with a wave of his hand.

“What kind of magic is that?” I asked, wondering how a doctor was involved in a magic other than healing.

"I'll show you. Lie down there,” he pointed to the makeshift bed in his office and back at him as he put on gloves.

Why did this feel like that scientist situation all over again?
