Chapter 105- The Visit
The Woods at Route 7, Chicago.
Dan pulled up in front of Samuel’s cabin as he angrily walked out from his car, slamming the door so hard.
“Mates!” Samuel called out. “He’s here!” he announces the arrival of Dan.
Dan’s countenance isn’t bright at all. Rage is written all over him as he walked up to Samuel, tossing him a tiny device he found on Mary’s backpack. “I found this on Mary’s backpack,” he said furrowing his brows.
After a closely gaze at the devise, Samuel lifted his face toward Dan. “This is a tracking device.”
“I know that,” Dan growled. “Whoever that did that must have hand in her disappearance.”
“Where did you find her back pack?”
“In a coffee shop,” Dan said. “At the manager’s office.”
“Then you can compel the manger and find out the truth from him about where…”
“Fuck!” Dan yelled in frustration. “Fuck!” he yelled again, kicking against the wooden spandrel.
“What?” Samuel gaped with surprise, wondering why Dan continued to yell in frustration.
Dan eyes narrowed into slits as he continued to kick against the wooden spandrel over and over again. After he have had unleashed his anger on the wooden spandrel, he signed deeply and turned toward Samuel as he opened his mouth to speak. “I let anger get into my head. I killed the manger without even compelling the truth out from him.”
“You did what?” Samuel stared with disbelief. He can’t believe Dan could kill the only person that would know the whereabouts of Mary without using his compulsion to find out the truth.
“I screwed up big time,” he confessed. “I let my mission get into my head. I wasn’t thinking straight.” His realization of what he should have done is too late. There’s no going back.
“You know that manager would have told us where to find these clandestine wolves. He might have a hand in the continuous hit on the bloodlines.”
Dan lowered his head, regretting his actions. “Let’s find a witch to do a locator spell. Perhaps the witch could tell us where Mary is. She could be held in one of the camps of these clandestine wolves.”
Dan has never been scared of these new wolves in town. He kills them each time he crossed paths with them. For this, he became the number one on their kill list since 700 years ago. They see him as an abomination for being a half vampire, half werewolf. This gave them more reason to put him down. They have not found a way to kill him since he’s one of the ‘first family’ that couldn’t be killed like the rest of the vampires.

The old mansion.
Dean rushed to answer the door after the continuous knocks on the door that was later replaced with constant banging.
On opening the door, he made a profile of a man dressed in brown fancy suit. He had a virgin-brown hair and his eyebrows were bristly and his jaw was concrete. The man smiled at him and stretched his hand toward him for a shake, saying, “I am Bruce.”
Dean stared at the man’s hand and left his hand hanging. “So?” he glared. He can tell the man is a werewolf but what confused him was why he was doing here at the place he inherited from Late Mrs. Willie. He has been desperate to kill werewolves especially after they altered the curse of the moon.
“I assumed you already know what I am, yes?” he flashed a winning smile.
“And so?” Dean glared at him.
“So, I am here to make an offer.”
“Get off my property or the next thing that will happen to you will be unbearable.”
Dean pushed the door to close it but Bruce was fast enough to block the door. He pushed his way through. “Dean Dracula, you need to hear what…”
Dean’s nostrils flared as he flicked around. He couldn’t believe the person he thought he has gotten rid of is still here. He thrust his hand toward Bruce and grabbed him by the throat. He prone him to the wall and snarled at him. His fangs all popped out and his eyes turned red. “I have been desperate to kill a werewolf and you, I will kill!”
He brought his hand closer to Bruce’s chest and buried it into his chest, gripping his heart.
Bruce gasped. “If you kill me, you will never know why I came and another werewolf will come looking for you until they get your attention.”
Dean’s scowled at him as he speaks. He wants to unleash his violent on him but his instinct told him to listen what Bruce has to say.
He brought his face closer to Bruce and whispered. “You have 10 seconds to tell me why you are here.” He immediately begins the countdown.
Before he could get to five, Bruce started squeezing out words very slowly, knowing if he didn’t speak, Dean would show no mercy but to rip out his heart and toss it to the floor.
“You have heard of the clandestine wolves, haven’t you?”
His words got Dean’s attention. He knew for 700 years that the clandestine wolves have targeted his brother Dan to erase him. He slowly removes his hand from Bruce’s chest without pulling out his heart.
His cheeks flushed with excitement as he pulled out handkerchief from the top of his suit pocket and wipes his hand clean as Bruce pants, wanting to catch his breath.
“So, why are you here?” he cast a side-way gaze at him.
Bruce snorted out and opened his mouth to speak. “The clandestine wolves learned that the first family has a dagger called daemon dagger that can put Dan down for long.” He paused and peered at something before continuing. “We also heard the daemon dagger was buried in his chest for 20 years ago before a gypsy found him and pulled it out. We need that dagger to keep Dan down. So, what do you say?”
