Chapter 277 Treasure Site

Chapter 277 Treasure Site

After Philip and Ivy finished lunch, Philip led Ivy to his car. He thought Ivy would ask him to drive her back, but just as he started the engine, Ivy said softly, "Come with me to the healing center."

This was the first time Ivy had invited him anywhere. Philip's heart leaped with joy, and he quickly shot Derek, who sat in the front, a meaningful look.

Derek immediately started the car and drove smoothly to the entrance of the healing center.

Philip's eyes crinkled with barely concealed amusement as he said cheerfully, "Boss Ivy, are you planning to let me try out a new service today?"

Ivy didn't respond. She simply opened the car door and got out, walking straight toward the healing center. Derek, following behind, nudged Philip enthusiastically. "Mr. Green, looks like Ms. Cooper's opinion of you has softened quite a bit. This is the first time she's invited you anywhere."

Philip's heart swelled with quiet delight. He suddenly felt that his previous subtle confessions must have had some effect after all. The fact that Ivy was showing this kind of change was more than enough to satisfy him.

When they stepped into the healing center, they discovered that none of the staff were inside. The entire shop was dark, all the lights turned off. Derek and Philip exchanged surprised glances.

Philip looked around uncertainly. "Ivy, what's going on? Is the shop closed today, so you asked me to come over?"

Ivy cleared her throat lightly. "That's right. The shop's closed today, so I specifically asked you to come."

Philip's eyes brightened. Derek immediately caught the implication and said tactfully, "In that case, I'll wait outside. Just call me when you two are finished."

Ivy frowned and turned to look at Derek. "Why are you running off? Come along with us."

Now both Derek and Philip were confused, but when it came to Ivy's instructions, both men were basically obedient to a fault.

Since Ivy had said so, they had no reason not to comply. The two men, heads full of questions, followed closely behind Ivy into a corner on the first floor.

Philip thought it over and over, feeling that it would be enough for Ivy to give him a treatment alone. Why did she need to bring Derek along?

After this thought, he glanced back at Derek with a hint of resentment. Derek looked equally helpless—wanting to leave but not daring to, truly at a loss for words.

Just as the two men were hesitating, Ivy pushed open a hidden door at the end of the hallway. Seeing that the two behind her weren't moving forward, she said impatiently, "What are you standing there for? Hurry up."

Called out by name, the two men finally stepped forward.

Only then did Philip take a good look and realize that Ivy had entered through a hidden door, not a massage room or healing room. He paused slightly. "Ivy, what are we doing here?"

As he spoke, the group had already descended into the basement.

Philip asked in shock, "Was there a basement here before? How come I didn't know about it?"

The prime location beneath Twin Towers was strictly controlled property of the Green family, and Derek had been here many times. When this question came up, Derek shook his head repeatedly. "No, there wasn't a basement in this shop before. Ms. Cooper, did you dig out a basement to use as a VIP healing room?"

As they spoke, Ivy pushed open the final door and said coldly, "What healing room? This is where Anso's treasure is hidden."

"What? You asked me here today to show me Anso's treasure?"

Philip asked this question with a hint of disappointment. He'd thought Ivy was asking him on a date.

Ivy frowned. "What else? Did you think you were coming here for a treatment?"

Philip pressed his lips together. Honestly, compared to Anso's treasure, he suddenly felt he'd rather have Ivy give him an aromatherapy session. But reason pulled him back to reality—right now, the most important thing was to recover the Green family heirloom.

After collecting himself, Philip's expression turned serious, his face grave and earnest. "So you're saying that Anso's treasure has been within the Green family's jurisdiction this whole time, right here beneath this shop. Is that right?"

Ivy nodded lightly. "That's right. The treasure has been within your family's jurisdiction all along. From the very beginning, my purpose in asking you for this shop was exactly this."

Derek stared in shock at the pitch-black basement, clearly newly excavated. He never would have imagined that the Green family heirloom they'd searched for all these years—even going so far as to spend a fortune negotiating with assassins—had been right here within their own property the whole time. It was truly astonishing.

However, what Ivy had just said left him even more speechless.

He had to admit, Ivy was practically a deity.

She'd known the location of the treasure from the very start. She'd deliberately approached the Green family and gotten them to give her this property.

On the surface, the Green family thought she wanted to reclaim her position as the Cooper family's leader, which was why she'd started the healing center business. But it turned out that everything was just a façade—her real goal had been to obtain Anso's treasure. This was beyond unexpected.

What left him even more at a loss for words was that this healing center had already become a top-tier internet sensation beneath Twin Towers. Under Ivy's management, it was making serious money—and she'd achieved this in just a few months, with daily revenue easily reaching tens of millions of dollars.

Derek suddenly pressed a hand to his forehead, looking at Ivy with something close to awe. At only eighteen years old, she possessed this level of cunning and calculation. It was truly admirable.

Even if you counted from before her rebirth as Blood Dove, she would have been around twenty-five at most. No matter how you looked at it, she was a monstrous existence among her peers.

At this thought, Derek suddenly nodded firmly.

For someone who existed like a deity, no wonder their Mr. Green was so eager to court her favor. Now he suddenly understood.

Ivy had no idea that Derek, standing behind her, had thought through so much in just a few minutes. She simply held the two men back, saying, "This is the final door. By all logic, there should be traps inside Anso's treasure room. After the last door is opened, you two stay behind me and avoid any deadly mechanisms that might shoot out."

Ivy's words immediately made both men tense. Derek said sternly, "Mr. Green, please get behind me."

The words had barely left his mouth when Ivy pulled open the final door. Instantly, countless bullets shot out from the pitch-black depths at incredible speed. Before any of the three could fully react, Ivy shoved Philip aside and dodged to the side herself. The bullets streaked between all three of them!
