Chapter 47 Must Find a Way

Chapter 47 Must Find a Way

The other salespeople also lowered their heads, not daring to look at James and Caroline anymore.

The mockery and disdain from earlier now felt like slaps across their own faces, leaving them utterly ashamed.

Conrad's face turned ashen as he stood there, completely at a loss.

He never imagined that the ordinary person he thought couldn't afford a car was actually a hidden ultra-rich tycoon.

James put away his black card, his expression still calm, as if the five million dollars he just spent was nothing more than pocket change.

He looked down at Caroline beside him, his tone incredibly gentle,

"Caroline, let's take it for a test drive first. If you don't feel comfortable driving it or don't like it, we'll give this car to the servants for grocery shopping and pick another one."

Caroline nodded with a smile, her eyes full of joy and trust.

"Okay, whatever you say, James."

Hearing this, Heather instantly got so excited her eyes turned red. She quickly stepped forward, her voice choked with emotion,

"Thank you, Mr. Anderson, thank you, Ms. Collins! Thank you so much."

"Don't mention it."

James said lightly.

"You deserve it."

Heather nodded vigorously, quickly wiping the tears from her eyes, and said with a smile,

"Mr. Anderson, Ms. Collins, I'll go get the test drive keys right now and take you for the test drive."

With that, she hurried off to get the keys, her steps much lighter than usual.

The test drive went smoothly. Caroline drove the white Porsche, finding it light to handle and easy to operate. The more she drove, the more she loved it.

After the test drive, they drove back to the dealership, ready to complete the paperwork and drive away.

At this point, the salespeople in the store still kept their heads down, none daring to approach them.

Zoe and Conrad hid to the side, not even having the courage to look up at them.

As for Yasmin, only now did she fully realize that James was truly wealthy.

Seeing Caroline about to get in the car, Yasmin suddenly rushed over, grabbing the car door with a fake smile plastered on her face.

"Caroline, wait for me! I want to sit in this car too. Take me with you. We haven't gone shopping together in so long."

Caroline looked at her fake expression, the warmth in her eyes instantly fading.

After today's events, she had completely seen Yasmin's true colors.

Caroline gently pushed her hand away, her tone cold with a hint of mockery.

"Yasmin, do you think you deserve to sit in this car? When you were mocking James for not being able to afford a car earlier, did you ever think about today? Now that you see James has money, you want to cozy up to him. Don't you think you're ridiculous?"

Yasmin's face instantly turned bright red. Caroline's words left her utterly ashamed, panic and embarrassment flashing in her eyes.

"Caroline, what are you talking about! I wasn't scheming against you. I just wanted to make up with you."

"Make up?"

Caroline laughed coldly.

"I can't handle that kind of making up from you.

Yasmin, we're not friends, and don't contact me again. Take care of yourself."

With that, she stopped looking at Yasmin, opened the car door, and got in.

James glanced at Yasmin, his eyes ice-cold and piercing. The oppressive feeling in that gaze made Yasmin shiver involuntarily, instinctively letting go of the car door.

James also got into his car, nodded at Caroline, and the two cars drove out of the dealership one after the other, leaving Yasmin standing there alone, utterly disheveled.

Watching the two cars disappear from view, Yasmin's face turned pale, her heart full of hatred and resentment, yet helpless.

Just then, her phone suddenly rang. Seeing the caller ID, she was so scared she trembled all over, nearly dropping her phone.

She took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing the panic and fear in her heart, and quickly answered the call, trying to make her voice sound calm.

"Quinton."

On the other end of the line came Quinton's weak but still vicious voice, full of impatience and threat.

"Yasmin, how's it going? Did you bring Caroline? I'm warning you, don't play games with me.

If you dare delay my plans, I'll not only deal with you, but I'll completely destroy the Khan family and leave you with nothing."

Hearing Quinton's threat, Yasmin's body couldn't help but tremble.

She instinctively recalled the scenes of being tortured by Quinton before, the fear in her heart growing deeper.

She didn't dare tell Quinton the truth. After all, given his ruthlessness, he would definitely torture her even more crazily.

Yasmin bit her lip and said with forced composure,

"Quinton, don't worry, everything is going according to plan. I've already made up with Caroline. Once I find another opportunity, I'll trick her into coming to you. Just wait a bit longer for me, okay?"

On the other end, Quinton's tone remained vicious, without a trace of doubt.

"It better be! I'm giving you three days. If you can't bring Caroline to me within three days, I'll show you what's worse than death! And don't try any tricks with me, or you'll face the consequences."

"I know, I know."

Yasmin nodded repeatedly, her voice trembling.

"I'll definitely bring Caroline over as soon as possible. Don't be angry, and don't hurt me, okay?"

Quinton snorted coldly, said nothing more, and hung up directly.

Hearing the busy tone on the phone, Yasmin's legs went weak and she collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down uncontrollably.

Meanwhile, at the Collins Villa, it was complete chaos.

When Landon learned that Gilbert and Daryl had been hung naked at the company entrance, he was so angry his whole body shook.

He pounded his cane hard on the ground, making a dull thud, his face frighteningly ashen.

"Useless! All useless!"

Landon roared, violently smashing the teacup on the table to the ground, scattering shards everywhere.

"Two worthless things! Of all people to provoke, they had to provoke that demon James. Now look what happened - they've completely disgraced the Collins family and got hung at the entrance for everyone to see!"

Doyle and Bronte stood to the side, trembling with fear, not daring to breathe loudly.

They had just received the news too, feeling anxious and scared, yet helpless.

The more Landon thought about it, the angrier he got. His gaze fell on Doyle and Bronte, and his fury instantly shifted to them.

"This is all because of that wonderful daughter you raised! That ungrateful Caroline, following James around and not even caring about her own cousins, watching them get humiliated. Does she even consider the Collins family anymore?"

Bronte felt wronged inside but didn't dare talk back. She could only lower her head and mumble quietly,

"Dad, you can't blame this all on Caroline. It was Daryl and them who provoked James first, and besides, we can't afford to mess with James either."

"Can't afford to?"
