Chapter 78 Come and sit down here please

“Hey you're finally up?” She gently rubbed the back of my hand.
I just blinked and squeezed my lips into a smile.
“Okay,don't stress yourself please…first take some rest for now,” she pulled the cover over my body but I couldn't stop staring at her.
“How is she?” I managed to utter those words and asked her.
“Well,last minute I checked,she was still unconscious but the doctors are hopeful that the operation was very successful and thanks to you,” tears touched her cheeks.
I tried to bring her into my embrace to calm her down but my body was still numb so I failed and she made me lay back slowly.
“It's okay Liam,first take some rest please,” she said.
The doctor walked in without knocking and we both turned our gaze at the door to see who has the guts to surge into our room without knocking.
“Hey Alina,Ohh even Liam is up! That's good to know so that both of you can hear the good news! So Kara has finally woken up,” the doctor said cheerfully with a wide smile.
Alina jumped up from her seat with tears flowing and she hugged the doctor so tight.
“Please,are we free to meet her right now?” I asked.
“Yes of course but only Alina can come with me because you can't leave that bed yet,” the doctor instructed me and I agreed to it.
They left my room and I was so overwhelmed because that little girl deserved a second chance to life and I'm proud of myself that I helped her achieve that.
The nurse walked in and changed my Iv drip then when she left,my eyes closed shut.
I later woke up and I was still alone in the room but after a few minutes,Alina came back with a big smile on her face and it was evident that now her heart is at peace.
“Yeah,that smile can tell it all,” I also curved my lips in a smile.
She came to my bed and without saying a word,she crushed her lips with mine and I was dumbfounded by her sudden actions…she sucked my lower lip,then moved to the upper lip and I had no choice other than playing along so i also kissed her back.
“I'm so sorry Liam,I don't know what got into me,” she immediately pulled away and started blaming herself like she has committed a crime.
“Hey haha calm down,i guess you were just carried away but I don't mind so please don't kill yourself over a minor issue,” I laughed it off.
“Come and sit down here please and tell me how our daughter is doing,” I gestured her to join me on the bed.
I extended a bit and created some space for her then she sat next to me.
“So give me all the tea girl,” I talked like a girl with a snap at my fingers.
“Haha,please stop,” she laughed out loud and this warmed my heart after seeing her in such a mood because she has been crying the past hours.
“Liam,our girl is really a strong young woman I must admit,” she folded her hands over the chest.
“I'm so proud of her to keep fighting till now,” I replied with a smile.
“I'm so grateful that you agreed to be part of this without hesitation and I can't thank you enough Liam,” she held my hand.
“I had to show up for my girl and you too because you needed someone to give you support emotionally so here I am,” I passed my hand over her shoulder and made her head rest on my shoulder.
“So,what can I get you to eat?” She asked.
“Surprise me,” I replied.
“Okay then,just relax and wait for me here and one more thing please,” she said.
“Yes,what is it?” I asked.
“Please don't be on the phone yet,the doctor told me to pas on that instruction,” she took my phone from the table and placed it inside her bag.
“Okay ma'am I hear you,” I replied while raising my hands in the air to surrender.
She smiled then stepped out of the room and I wanted to use the bathroom but I was still very weak so I skipped it and I decided to wait for anyone who walks in first to help me with that.
Luckily,Alina came back and I called her to my bed while offering her my hand.
“Liam,are you okay?” She asked as she held my hand.
“I really need to use the bathroom please and I couldn't help myself down so kindly give me a hand,” I begged her.
“Haha Liam,I'm sorry for laughing but you really sound like a toddler who is in real pain and this cracked me up,” she replied.
She put my hand over her shoulders and her other hand around my waist then I got down from the bed and slowly moved towards the bathroom.
“Do you also need help with putting down the trousers?” She sarcastically asked while laughing.
“Please leave,I can take it up from here,” I lightly pushed her back and made her face the door so she can leave and I ease myself.
“I'm not going anywhere,after all, there's nothing new here to see so please go right ahead and do your business that brought you here,” she leaned back on the wall.
“Okay then if you insist,” I held my hospital gown and she quickly ran out while covering her eyes and I chuckled.
“Please alert me when you get done,” she screamed behind the door and I just shoke my head in disbelief.
“Hey Alina,please come back in here,I'm done,” I called her back and she opened the door.
She held me in that same position and we moved back to the room and made me sit on dining table then served me my dinner.
She brought me noodles this time round and my mouth opened after looking at what she got it.
“Hey,you told me to surprise you and I couldn't think of anything else other than noodles because you loved them yesterday,” she replied.
“I'm happy that you got me these noodles because I'm already drooling oh my God!” I picked up the chopsticks and started eating and their taste still remains the same.
She got the same noodles and we both enjoyed our dinner perfectly…after that,she slept off on the couch because she really had a long day but I was wide awake so I watched over her.
