Chapter 217 Close the Door When You See Him Coming?
Janet had long grown used to Alaric's indifference.

"I booked a suite upstairs with an extra bedroom. Come upstairs with me to rest."

"Evelyn, you have to explain to Cordelia for me that I wasn't the one who told Janet that Alaric was in Ravenshollow."

"If I remember correctly, Mr. Hughes's suite isn't on this floor, is it?"
Alaric lifted the dessert gift box in his hand slightly, not answering Evelyn's question.
He'd attended a banquet today where the desserts tasted very good. He'd heard they were made by an internationally renowned pastry chef, so he'd packed some to bring back for Cordelia.
He remembered that when he and Cordelia first got married, Cordelia really loved eating desserts.
