Chapter 60 ADRIAN'S PLAN
ADRAIN
“Check the input.” I asked.
“The server is incorrect.” He answered, scanning through the logs.”
“Lord Santiago wanted more. Track him down!” I shouted.
“ I only found the families whereabout. Are they of any use?” He asked.
Mark answered, “ Maybe they could subdue him. Bend them to our wishes.”
“This is the very first time someone gave a good advice in months.”
I wheeled my chair sipping some red wine.
“Explain the files,” I ordered.
“The main vault Damian uses for offshore routing,he split the access. One key is digital. One is human-linked,” Raven reported.
“Meaning?” I demanded.
“You can’t break it without pressuring the people tied to him. His shareholders
The system was built to protect his privacy..”
“I don’t need a lecture.”
I cut him off and rose from my seat.
“Names. Give me the list.”
Raven slid a tablet across the table.
Damian. Aria. Viktor. A handful of old business allies. Former partners. Two unknowns. I recognized only one, someone who shouldn't be alive.
Interesting.
“Who are the last two?” I asked.
Raven’s voice dropped. “They were hidden extremely well. I still don’t have identities.”
“Then dig harder.”
I slammed the tablet on the table, making him jump.
Mark stepped closer.
“Adrian, Damian isn’t an easy target. He’s clean. His wife is quiet. Viktor is the one who reacts. If we want noise,we go after Viktor. If we want damage,go after Aria.”
“Aria,” I repeated, almost amused by the sound of her name.
“She is naïve.”
Mark nodded. “And Damian will follow. He will move when she’s touched.”
I smiled.
“Tell the boys. Phase One starts tonight.”
Raven froze. “Tonight?”
“Do you have a hearing problem?” I asked.
His silence was enough.
"Tell them to prepare the van. No weapons drawn yet. I want intimidation first. A message."
Mark smirked.
“Who’s the target?”
“The wife.”
Raven sucked in a breath.
Mark just grinned wider.
I walked toward the holographic screen on the wall.
Damian’s face glowed in blue light.
“You think he doesn’t know we’re coming?” Mark asked.
“I want him to know,” I replied.
“I want him to feel it. We start with fear. We end with loss.”
Raven finally spoke again.
“What about Lord Santiago’s request? The documents…”
“I know what he wants.”
I lifted my wine glass again.
“But I need Damian to kneel first. When that man kneels, everything falls in place.”
A knock was heard on the door.
“Enter,” I said.
Blade walked in,my top tracker, six-foot-four, never smiled, never missed a target.
“Boss,” he greeted. “The boys are assembling. We have the street layout mapped. Want entry from the left flank or front assault?”
“Neither,” I said.
“We’re ghosts tonight. No trace.”
Raven blinked.
“But you said intimidation…”
“ Don't be stupid. Intimidation doesn't require stupidity,” I replied sharply.
“We go in, shake their ground, and leave before they even get the first call out.”
“Give me the plan,” I ordered.
“Two vehicles. One unmarked sedan. One van. The wife’s house has blind spots along the side entrance. No cameras.” Blade paused. “We drag her out, scare her, drop the warning, and disappear.”
“Good.”
I leaned back in my chair.
“And if Damian is home?”
Blade smirked.
“Then we get a bonus round.”
Mark laughed.
Raven looked like he wanted to leave the country.
I stepped toward the door.
“I’m coming with you.”
Raven shot up in panic. “Boss, no…”
“Sit down,” I snapped.
He obeyed instantly.
“I want to see Damian’s reaction with my own eyes.”
We moved.
Mark drive the sedan
Blade led the van.
I sat in the back seat, sipping the last of my wine, watching the streets blur.
“Approaching,” Mark announced.
“Lights off,” I ordered.
The cars darkened.
“Raven,” I said through the earpiece. “Pull the street cameras.”
“Already looping,” he replied nervously.
“Any sign of security outside the house?” Blade’s voice asked.
“None,” Raven answered. “But they might be inside.”
“Makes no difference,” I said.
The vehicles stopped at the corner.
“Positions,” Blade commanded.
Four masked men stepped out silently.
We advanced.
Blade signaled.
One of the men lifted a jammer.
Another secured the side gate.
Mark whispered, “Adrian, what if Damian steps out?”
“Then you run,” I said casually. “But I won’t.”
We rounded the corner.
Blade moved to pick the lock.
The door opened.
We entered the compound.
know you’re there,” he said, voice low and controlled.
Mark almost cursed.
Viktor continued, looking at me from upstairs.
“Tell Adrian that he’s playing a dangerous game.”
I smiled.
“Message received,” I whispered to myself.
“Boss,” Blade muttered, “we need to fall back.”
“No,” I said.
“He wants to know who dares approach his people. Let him look.”
“We need to go,now.” he said grabbing my arm. Blade was the only one I had a little trust in.
“Fine,” I said, stepping back.
We retreated fast, before he could pull attention.
We reached our den.
Mark leaned back.
“So what now?”
I poured another glass of wine, slow and steady.
“Phase Two,” I said.
“The quiet part is over.”
Blade stepped forward.
“What’s Phase Two?”
