Marry me Arielle

Marry me Arielle
A week later..
Arielle looked around the romantic decoration on the rooftop restaurant, her eyes taking in the soft glow of fairy lights intertwined with delicate flowers and the shimmering cityscape in the distance.
The ambiance was ethereal, casting a warm, inviting glow on everything it touched. She couldn't help but feel a sense of unease mixed with curiosity.
Why had Kyler suddenly asked her to come here?
And now he was nowhere to be seen, which made her confused.
Initially, she didn’t want to come.
Her heart was still mending, and the wounds of their past were far from healed.
But for some reason, an inexplicable force had drawn her here, her feet dragging her almost against her will.
She had tried to resist, but the memories of their time together and the hope for closure had propelled her forward.
Suddenly, she heard footsteps approaching. Her heart skipped a beat as she turned around and saw Kyler walking towards her.
He was impeccably dressed in a tailored suit, looking every bit the part of a man so handsome.
In his hands, he held a bouquet of yellow Avalanche roses… the same rose, she had gifted him when they first met.
The sight of those familiar flowers brought a rush of memories, bittersweet and poignant.
Kyler stopped a few steps away from her, a soft smile playing on his lips. “These are for you,” he said, his voice gentle yet filled with emotion.
Arielle accepted the bouquet, the fragrance of the roses enveloping her senses. “Thank you… but why did you ask me to come here?” she asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
Kyler looked deep into her eyes, his gaze unwavering. “Dance with me,” he said, his tone almost a plea.
Arielle blinked, taken aback. “Excuse me?” she replied, unsure if she had heard him correctly.
“I want to dance with you, Hazel,” he repeated.
As he said it, he extended his hand towards her, a gesture that felt both familiar and strange.
Arielle looked at his hand, the memories of their dances flooding back.
She took a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest.
Slowly, she placed her small hand in his, feeling the warmth of his touch.
They began to dance, swaying gently to the soft music that played in the background.
It had been so long since she had been this close to him, and the sensation was both comforting and painful.
The distance that had grown between them over the past couple of days seemed to melt away, replaced by a poignant longing.
As the dance came to an end, Kyler suddenly knelt down, catching Arielle by surprise. She looked at him, her heart racing, unsure of what he was about to do.
Kyler reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box.
Opening it, he revealed a stunning engagement ring that sparkled under the soft lights. “Marry me, Arielle,” he said, his voice trembling with sincerity. “I know… things happened in the past, but I want to correct my mistakes. Please, marry me. Give me a chance.”
Tears welled up in Arielle’s eyes, her vision blurring as she processed his words.
The pain of the past, the betrayals and the heartbreak, all seemed to fade away in that moment. She could see the genuine regret in his eyes, the longing to make things right.
“Yes,” she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. “Yes, I will marry you. And I have long forgiven you.”
A relieved smile broke out on Kyler’s face as he slipped the ring onto her finger.
He stood up and pulled her into a passionate kiss, sealing their renewed commitment.
The world around them seemed to disappear, leaving only the two of them in a bubble of love and redemption.
Their kiss was a blend of desperation and hope, a promise of a future they both yearned for. Arielle felt her heart soar as Kyler’s arms wrapped around her, holding her close.
As they pulled away, Kyler rested his forehead against hers, their breaths mingling. “Thank you,” he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. “Thank you for giving me another chance.”
Arielle smiled through her tears, her heart feeling lighter than it had in years. “We both deserve a second chance,” she replied softly.
They stood there for a moment, lost in each other’s presence.
The city lights twinkled around them, a silent witness to their promise of a new beginning.
Hand in hand, they walked to the edge of the rooftop, looking out over the city. The stars above seemed to shine brighter, as if celebrating their reunion.
Arielle leaned her head on Kyler’s shoulder, feeling a sense of peace she hadn’t felt in a long time.
Kyler wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close. “I promise you, Hazel,” he said, his voice steady and full of conviction. “I will never let you down again. I will never hurt you.”
Arielle nodded, believing him. “I know, Kyler. I believe in us.”
They stayed like that for a while, savoring the moment, before Kyler suggested they go inside. He had arranged a private dinner for them, wanting to make the evening special.
As they made their way to the table, Arielle couldn’t help but feel a renewed sense of hope. The past had been painful, but it had also led them to this moment, where they could start anew.
As the night wore on, they reminisced about their first meeting, the times they had spent together, and the obstacles they had overcome. The rooftop restaurant, with its serene ambiance, became a place of healing and renewal.
By the time they finished dinner, Arielle felt a deep sense of contentment. They had come full circle, and the future looked brighter than ever. As they stood up to leave, Kyler took her hand, holding it firmly.
“Let’s go home,” he said, his voice full of love.
Arielle smiled, squeezing his hand. “Yes, let’s.”
