I didn’t like the situation of how things were going.

Zade and Alexa had left for a day’s meeting with the pack on how to control themselves, I was standing in the middle of my room and had been expecting to hear news about them but nothing came, I even tried to use a locating spell but it was not working.

“Those rabid wolves,” I said to myself as I thought of things they do and then blame the curse for making them do it.

‘Alexa and Zade should be back now but why the fuck weren’t they back yet’ I thought to myself as I groaned in frustration and I started pacing around my room in frustration.

I had only been informed of them going out together after they had left, if I had known sooner I would have done everything to make sure that bitch didn’t tag along.

It’s been two days now and they are still not back. What must have happened? What was taking them so long to get back? Did they mate already? Did he mark her already?

Different thoughts kept popping up in my head and I tried to figure out what must have happened but I was drawn out of my thoughts by the sound of a thunderstorm.

It immediately clicked that it must have been the rain that had trapped and kept them back, only if only I had the powers to change the weather.

I sighed as I stopped pacing the room and plopped down on my bed trying to calm myself down.

“I’m pretty sure they would be back soon, nothing could have happened. I would have felt it if they had marked each other,” I said to myself reassuringly trying to push the thoughts to the back of my head.

They finally arrive on the afternoon of the third day after the rain had stopped and they were now in each others arms acting all loved up.

What the actual fuck??

What had happened where they went to? What suddenly change? Why doesn’t she hate his guts anymore and most importantly why are they looking at each other like that?

“Argh!” I screamed as I pressed my head against my pillow in frustration. I had to do something about this, I can’t let this love or whatever was between them bloom.

Not now, not ever.

I saw as Zade led her to her room and kissed her forehead before excusing himself and going to his office.

I saw as she melted in his touch and with a satisfied smile went into her room. I wanted to do nothing more than to wipe away that smile from her face and smack her head into the wall.

Why did she have to come into the picture?

Zade was mine and mine only, mine to love, mine to claim and mine to do as I like with him.

Why did she have to be his mate and why did they have to meet?

Ugh!

I didn’t care if his curse is broken or not, I would be with him at any cost.

I wanted to go talk to Zade but Raymond beat me to it as I saw him enter into his office minutes before I git there so I decided to wait until they were done talking.

I wanted to find out his plans and then sketch my own so I could finally be with the love of my life.

After Raymond had left, I walked to his office and at the same time he walked out of his office.

It has been a while since I last saw him and immediately my eyes set on him, I became all giddy and weak in the knees.

“Bri you’re still awake?” He called out to me as I moved closer to him and my face burst into a smile.

“Hey stranger, been long since I last set my eyes on you,” I said to him as I got to his front and wrapped my arms around him lightly even if I wanted to hug him harder.

His smell drove me crazy and well as turn me on as I breathed it in, I had to use all the strength in me to pull away from him as I squeezed his arm like I always do.

His muscles flexed beneath my touch and I almost lost my footing at the feel of it.

“Oh yes! I have been busy a lot, being king is not easy you know,” he replied me letting out a little laugh and I forced out a laughter as well.

“Well it’s because you have been going around with that girl you call your mate,” I say to him through gritted teeth, my eyes turning malicious but I quickly hid it before he could notice and question me l

“She is my mate Bri. I don’t just call her that and it is important I spend time with her,” he replied me curtly and I could see he was now getting angry so I decided to drop the topic

“Whatever you say,” I replied him rolling my eyes but I noticed he was not having it so I decided to play safe and apologize to him.

“I’m sorry Zade, I’m just looking out for you, that’s all. I don’t want you to be hurt, you know that right?” I asked as I faux apologized to him making sure to smile sweetly as I looked up at him and it worked as I saw the anger and irritation on his face slowly vanish into thin air.

“I understand and I’m telling you I’m one hundred percent sure this time, okay?” He said to me trying to reassure me and I just nodded my head in mock understanding.

I knew she was his mate, I had already confirmed it. I just wanted to find a way to make him see that she’s not the one for him, no one else but me is the right person

“Good girl,” he said to me and I swear butterflies erupted in my stomach and it took every ounce of strength in me to remain standing and not melt because of his words and I let out a huge smile on my face.

“Anyways, the reason I came to see you was to ask you how you intend on breaking the curse now that you are united with your mate,” I finally let out looking at him curiously waiting for answers.

I was hoping he would let me in on his plans so I could sabotage it but his reply was not satisfactory. He said he was going to wait until when she was ready.

What??

This was not the Zade I know, he was not the one I was accustomed too. The Zade I know takes whatever he wants whenever he wants it so me hearing his say he was going to wait was shocking.

I could hear footsteps approaching us and I immediately recognized it as that of Alexa’s so I decided to keep probing him maybe he would say something that would annoy her.

“If you keep on waiting until when it is suitable for her, what about the pack members Zade?” I questioned me and he groaned in frustration.

“I don’t know Bri. I just want her to accept the mate bond so I can break the damn curse just like everybody else,” he started saying taking a breath before continuing, I could hear Alexa rush away after he had finished talking and I rejoiced in my head.

“There’s nothing I want more other than that but I would only do it on her terms and however she wants us to do it, I want her trust and support,” he finished saying trying to get me to understand but I already achieved what I wanted to as Alexa had heard the first part and didn’t wait to hear anything else and I smiled internally.

“But Zade th-“ I started saying as I tried to push it further but he shut me off and I decided to accept defeat and he smiled at me as he pulled me into a hug and my arms wrapped around him and he wished me goodnight.

I went to my room feeling satisfied and happy that the first phase of my plan had gone well although I had not added it initially, I got into my bed and slept off while smiling.

Over the next couple of days, Alexa was miserable as she locked herself in her room, ignoring everyone and was not eating.

I was so happy that stupid bitch jumped into conclusions without confirming from Zade first.

Zade kept trying to get through to her but she didn’t answer. I decided to put my plan into action tonight before they bond and he explains and she forgives him.

I planned on sneaking into her room but she made it even easier for me as I saw her walk out the palace into the garden and I followed her walking cautiously.

Time to put my plan into motion…
