CHAPTER 27

My eyes were already sore from crying and I had a serious migraine, I could not even sleep because his words kept haunting me, he hated me so much and he was not the only one, my pack did as well, it was like I was a serious problem that needed to be fixed, if he could not stand me anymore, I would help him by moving out of the room, I did not care if I slept in the janitor’s closet and anywhere worse, my room back in my father’s pack was not so good, anyways.

If we were not in the same space, I would not see him all the time and I would not be reminded of the pain, if my father was a nice man, I would have been able to convince him to take me to another school but the devil in form of his son would never allow it besides this was the best school for supernatural, I could not deny that fact.

Alison did not have to worry about me taking him away and I was not going to get a second chance mate either because he refused to reject me, if only I could but I would never be able to heal from the pain and my wolf would not forgive me.

I was going to die without a mate and a family that actually cared, I had nowhere to run to and Ashley might start acting up soon like her twin stated.

I was about to stand up to wash my face and get some ice for my head when the door flung open to reveal Ashley and Tyler with their eyes widened when they saw my face, I tried to control my heart beat rate so they would not notice that I was about to lie to them in case they asked me questions.

Aside that, seeing them together made me think that Tyler had told her already and she was here to cut ties with me, I was about to loose another one.

‘’Are you okay?’’ Ashley asked me.

Tyler scoffed in response, ‘’Obviously not, I am sure that your twin must have done something to her.’’

I gave him pleading eyes hoping that he would understand and keep his mouth shut.

Ashley gave him a questioning look, ‘’What do you mean by that? Ree, did Lex do anything to you?’’

As I opened my mouth to speak, I prayed silently that I would not stutter.

‘’No, he did not. A memory from the past hit me and I cried.’’ I lied with a straight face.

Tyler shot me a glare and shook his head in pity, I knew he would not be able to hold in for long before he would tell everybody.

‘’Oh, I am really sorry, by the way, I saw your father and brother speaking with my mother.’’ She stated.

I furrowed my brows at her, ‘’Did you get to know what they were talking about?’’

She nodded her head, ‘’Yes, I did. It was about you getting stronger and being able to shift or you might be withdrawn.’’

The last part of the statement made me freeze, I knew quite well that my last incident with Liam would make him do something evil, now, he had managed to convince my dad that it was a waste of time, it was not as if I could become strong overnight, I did not want to go back to my pack, my life would be even worse than staying with Alex.

The only way out of this situation was to prove to my father that I was making progress.

At least, that would keep my mind off Alex.

‘’You have to take your classes seriously or you might be out.’’ Tyler deadpanned.

‘’Thanks, Tyler for making her better.’’ Ashley made a sarcastic comment and complimented it with an eyeroll.

‘’Don’t worry, you don’t need to panic, I got you.’’ She stated.

‘’We could give you night training if you want, I meant, within the school premises.’’ He added in reference to what happened the last time that we left school.

I gave them a weak smile, ‘’Thanks, guys.’’

I was glad that they were willing to help me but I was not sure if I would be able to do it and besides, Liam would find a way to still bring me down.

‘’Ashley, please, can I stay in your room for like a day or two? I feel nauseous in this room.’’ I pleaded with her.

‘’What’s wrong? The room smells nice and..’’

I immediately cut her short, ‘’Please.’’

‘’Sure thing, uh, I will be in my room, in case you need anything.’’ She replied before standing up to leave.

It took about five to seven minutes before Tyler vented out on me because we did not want her to hear.

‘’What was the meaning of that? Why didn’t you tell her that her brother is your mate and he has been abusing you?’’

I let out a sigh before I responded, ‘’I did not see the reason to, we might be mates but we are never going to be official.’’

He scoffed, ‘’Can you hear yourself talking, right now? He does not want to accept you or reject you, he is trying to cage you and you are letting him win, if I were you, I would have rejected his ass and moved on with my life, later on, he would know what he lost. I am going to give both of you 48 hours so you can make up your mind before I report to the Lycan.’’

‘’Tyler, please, don’t do this, telling his father would make him hate me more and I don’t want to get into trouble with Alison either. I cannot reject him because of my wolf, the only thing that I can do is to keep pretending to be mateless.’’

‘’You know that he does not deserve you, right? Your second chance mate might be better than him, I have known him for years and he does not know how to treat women right, he refused to learn from the mistake of his dad and he is going to learn the hard way, if he was a nice person, he would have accepted you in that way, you would never have to go back to your toxic pack.’’ He stated before leaving.

He was still adamant on revealing the secret, now, I had two messes to clean up, either ways, I was going to be in big trouble.
