(DELANIE POV):
After lunch, I went to meet Denver and Kyle in their room. I had to speak to them about what I heard unpleasant. When I reached the door to their room I knocked on it.
"Who is there?" I heard Kyle ask from the other side.
"It's Delanie. Can I come in?" I asked.
"Sure." he answered and I went in, closing the door behind me.
"What brings you here?" Denver asked me.
"I want to go." I said.
Denver and Kyle exchanged looks then turned to me.
"Go where?" Kyle asked me.
"I overheard your conversation with Denver yesterday and I appreciate that you were looking out for me but I want to do it if it means we'll save my sister." I replied Kyle.
Kyle froze on the spot. "You mean you were eavesdropping the entire time we were taking?" Kyle asked me.
"Well, not entirely. I left right after you told Denver you won't let me go. Mary wanted me to help her with something at the moment. That was why I saw you outside because i was just returning by then." I explained.
"Kyle seemed relieved at something as he placed his hand on his chest.
"Are you alright?" I asked him.
"I'm fine." Kyle answered.
"Yes. Totally fine." Denver said, sarcastically.
"Are you sure you are okay?" I asked Kyle once more.
"Yes." he said, sounding annoyed at his brother.
"As for the plan of you getting yourself captured by Maco, it's not going to happen. I am sure we can think of something else." Kyle added.
"Yeah? Do you have any better idea right now?" I asked Kyle.
"Why does it have to be her anyways. Why can't you go?" Kyle asked Denver, ignoring my question.
"It will be very risky for me to go. He has Melanie and all he needs now is the both of us and the crystal. Maco has no use for Delanie but will take her anyways because she is Melanie's sister." Denver said to Kyle.
"That's why I am fit for the job." I said.
"Fine. I don't like it but since you want to go then I will allow it." Kyle said.
"It's decided then. Take this and hide it in your clothes." Denver said and handed me an emerald stone.
"Why is it glowing?" I asked Denver.
"That's the way it is." Denver answered.
Where am I even supposed to hide something that glows this much? I glanced over at Denver and Kyle who were still looking at me. I cleared my throat.
They both looked questioningly at me.
"Look away." I said and frowned.
"you have your own room if you don't want to be looked at." Denver said.
"It's not like we haven't seen better bodies." Kyle said and grinned in a dirty way. I looked at him in disgust then left their room.
After hiding it while in my room I returned to theirs.
"You are done hiding it right?" Kyle asked.
"Yes." I answered.
"Good. Now we just have to get seen with you in public. I'm sure we will see one of Maco's minions out there." Kyle said.
"So he already sent out demons to hunt us down? I'm not surprised at all. Maco has always been so impatient." Denver said to Kyle.
"They are getting really close to this location." Kyle said.
"And that is why we have to speed up our progress in finding him before he finds us." Denver added.
"Are you ready?" Denver asked me and I nodded affirmatively.
Kyle put his hand on my shoulder and in the next second we we're standing close to Mama G's club.
"Why here? I a asked Kyle.
" A lot of us come here." Kyle answered.
Hm. Why am I not surprised?
Kyle spotted a man coming towards us and he vanished from beside me, making it known that the man was a demon.
The man got to where I was and grabbed me and in the blink of an eye I was in a different world. The man who had a hold on me transformed into a demon and presented me in front of a mightily standing demon.
"And who do we have here?"The demon said, lifting me off the ground with his powers.
" I saw her close to Kaylah's club. She was with Kyle."the demon who had captured me said.
(MELANIE POV):
I'm not even sure how many days have gone by since I've been stuck here but I know it's been longer than I'd expect.
Where am I? I have no clue. All I have been thinking about is Denver and if he was okay at all. Maco keeps boasting in front of my how he reduced Denver to nothing. How Kyle and Denver both ran for their dear lives and are hiding from him.
"Wait and watch. I will find them and retrieve the crystal." Maco would say.
"I will take away the powers of both brothers." He says.
When will this nightmare ever end? I am fed up of listening to Maco talk about how he would take over the throne again and again.
The door creaked and there he was again. Maco. I bet he came to sing that anthem right from the beginning. He dragged someone in and threw the person at the floor. Up lifted the person's head and I saw it was Delanie.
My eyes grew wide in surprise.
"Surprise surprise. I got your sister." Maco said in an unpleasant tone of voice.
"What... How did you even get here?" I asked Delanie but she didn't answer.
Maco lifted her to her feet by her hair as she screamed and held on to her hair which remained clutched by Maco. Another cage appeared and Maco threw Delanie in and locked the door to the cage.
"Look at the bright side. At least now you have company right?" Maco said and grinned.
Maco left the room and I sat silent in my own cage just as Delanie did. A few minutes later, I decided to break the silence. "Why are you here?" I asked Delanie. She did not answer for a while but then she spoke up.
"I came to help you out. Also to..." she hesitated.
"To what?" I asked her.
"To say that I am sorry... For real this time. I really regret everything that I did to you." Delanie said.
"Isn't it to late for apologies?" I asked her and she broke into tears.
"Please forgive me. I've been so rebellious and angry and... I know I am not deserving of your forgiveness but..." she said in tears.
"I forgive you Delanie." I said.
At that moment I felt like breaking down the cage to meet my sister in hers but obviously I could not.
