"Seriously?! Does no one have manners anymore?" I asked, clearly showing my annoyance.

"What are you doing in her room?" Kelvin asked Kyle.

It was like I wasn't even present there as they continued to speak without looking my way.

"I should be asking you that question. I am her brother and i have the right to be here. You on the other hand..."

"Shut up! I know she has no brothers. Who are you and what do you want here and with her?!" Kelvin shouted.

"I'm not her brother? Hm, that's weird. Just minutes ago you said I was." Kyle said to Kelvin.

"That wasn't me speaking." Kelvin replied.

"Pretty sure it was you I saw munching down on those waffles." Kyle said to Kelvin.

"I'll show you who's munching on waffles." Kyle said and was about to punch Kyle but I went between the both of them.

"Enough you two! Enough!" I shouted and pushed then further apart.

"I don't know how you did it but I know it's you. You had better stay away from Delanie or else." Kelvin said, warning Kyle with a serious face.

Kyle took two steps forward and then placed his arm around my waist.

"Or else what? You'll make sure I never see my sister again?" Kyle replied, laying emphasis on the word sister.

"Okay that's it!" Kelvin said and charged forward but before he could lay even a finger on Kyle, Mary knocked and opened the door.

Behind Mary stood Denver like a silent shadow.

"Oh. There you are Kyle. Your brother and I have been looking for you. I see you are catching up with your sister." Mary happily said.

"Yes dear Mary." Kyle said.

"Oh! Kelvin. You are here too?" Mary asked. Before Kelvin could say anything, Kyle interrupted.

"Kelvin here came to check on Delanie but he saw she was in much better company. He was just about to leave before you came in." Kyle said to Mary.

"Really? Is that so?" Mary asked.

"Yes. I'll be out now." Kelvin unwillingly answered and then left.

"I'm sorry I forgot to inform you two that you could have a bath in the bathroom connected to your room. I already got you two new clothes that i'm sure would fit perfectly." Mary said to the brothers.

"Thank you Mary." Kyle said.

Mary left but Denver remained at the door.

"How come she didn't say anything about us leaving?" Kyle asked Denver.

"I told her the sad story that distracted you forgot to say before coming here." Denver replied Kyle.

"I wasn't distracted." Kyle retorted.

"Yeah, you weren't." Denver said, sarcastically.

Denver was about to leave but I stopped him.

"Don't think I don't recognize you Denver." I said and he stopped in his tracks but without turning to face me.

"Where is my sister?" I asked in a serious tone.

"That's for me to worry about." Denver said, coldly and finally walked away before I could say anything else.

"That's what you wanted to ask him?" Kyle asked me.

"You know where she is too don't you? I know you are both monsters in human flesh. You better bring my sister back to me." I said to Kyle.

"Whoa. Hold it right there buttercup. It's not like you ever cared about her. Is there some sort of business you discovered and want to use her again that I don't know about?" Kyle replied.

"How did you know about that?" I asked him.

I was surprised at the reply he gave as if he knew and had watched me in all the times I used Melanie for my own gain.

"Your sister shared it with my brother how she never wanted to see or talk to you ever again. I doubt she will change her mind even in her next life." Kyle replied.

"Is she dead?!" I asked with my eyes wide open.

"I never said that. All I can tell you is that wherever she is right now, she is definitely not dead." Kyle replied.

I took deep breaths and tried to calm my fast beating heart.

"You humans jump into conclusions a lot." Kyle said, his arms folded across his chest.

"That statement confirms that you are not human yourselves. Both you and your brother of course." I said.

"It's not like I denied being one." Kyle said to me.

"So what are you? Be specific." I said.

"I and my brother are demon princes." Kyle replied.

I laughed in his face. "Demons? That is believable but you see that word 'princes' No way." I said to Kyle.

"Why is that?" Kyle asked.

"Yeah right. Like a bunch of princes of the demon kingdom would have time to lie to a rich man's family just for shelter. And that too dressed as thieves." I said.

"Hm. Good point you've got there. Still, that doesn't change who we are." Kyle said.

"Yes. And who you are needs a bath. Shoudn't you have finished with your bath by now?" I said.

"The door is that way." I added, pointing towards the door.

I went to the door and even opened it for him but when I turned he wasn't there anymore. I made to close the door but he stopped me from the other side. I was shocked to see him there but I kept my cool.

"I will be back." he said then vanished.

"Sure you will." I said, even when no one was there, and I slammed the door shut.

Few minutes later I have finally had my bath and I wanted nothing else but fresh air. I left my room and went out into the garden. There I sat on the bench I usually sat on and closed my eyes to enjoy the silent breeze.

I felt a presence but didn't bother to open my eyes. A minute later, I opened my eyes but only to find Kyle leaning in close to my face with his eyes half way closed.

What was this creep about to do?! I landed a heavy slap across his gorgeo... I mean ugly face and he retreated.

"What was that for?!" he yelled.

"Why were you that close to my face?! What were you planning to do?! You pervert. You came here as my brother not my boyfriend. You better not ruin my name in front of Mary." I yelled back.
