(DELANIE POV):

I heard some noise from the room next to mine. Two guys were discussing something and I heard it all. The mention of my name from one of their mouths sent shivers down my spine. Who the hell were they and how did they know me?

Why were they planning to con their way into living here?

I managed to get some shut eye and the next morning I woke up to knocking on my door. I cover my face with a pillow, trying to block out the noise and hold on to sleep.

"Mary? Mary. Come out already." I heard Kelvin's voice say.

I ignored him, still trying my best not to loose sleep but then I heard him open the door to my room.

"Get up already. My mom said I should get you. It's time for breakfast." Kelvin said.

"Go away. I'm not hungry." I replied. Right that instant, Kelvin lifted me into his arms in a bridal style, except that I was such a mess.

"Put me down! I can walk!" I shouted and struggled in his arms.

"If you say so." Kelvin said and let go of me. My butt landed hard on the floor.

"Ouch!" I exclaimed.

"See you down stairs." Kelvin said to me and left.

Boy I hate that guy! He didn't even help me up. What an animal.

I stood up and went into the bathroom. After washing my face and combing my hair I came out and there was a stranger wearing rags on my bed. I screamed but i didn't feel my scream come out.

It was like I had turned mute instantly and I freaked out. I tried to leave the room but the door refused to open.

I looked at the stranger with questioning eyes but he maintained his straight face.

"Look." he said and got off the bed.

"I want you to do something for me." he said.

I recognized his voice from last night and figured out what he wanted from me. I was part of their lie to get in and now he wanted me to confirm his lie to be the truth.

"Who are you?" I asked him, my voice was finally out.

"My name is Kyle and I came here with my brother Denver. I want you to confirm to Mary that you are our sister. You ran away from us due to an argument and came here but now you want to return to your brothers." Kyle said.

"What?! Hell no! I'm not going anywhere with you people. I like it here." I retorted.

"Who said you'll be leaving? I just want you to say all that then leave the rest to me." Kyle said.

"I won't be helping you do anything. How do you people even know me?" I asked.

Kyle laughed then opened the door to my room, left and closed the door behind him.

These guys are obviously bad news. There is no way I am helping them accomplish what they are planning. Maybe they are planning to rub the house? No no. I... I heard them say Melanie's name last night. They must have some kind of problem with her and want to keep an eye on me for something.

Either way, I will not help them.

I calmed myself down and went out for breakfast. To my surprise, Kyle was also there but what surprised me more was the second guy. Was that who Kyle said was his brother? I recognized him as the guy who took my sister when he changed into a monster. Why on earth is he here? To get back at me for what i did to him last time we saw or what?

There is definitely something deeper that I don't know. Maybe I should let them stick around for just a little while.

"Delanie. You're just waking up? Come sit next to me for breakfast." Mary said with a smile.

"Brothers! What are you two doing here?" I said, pretending I was happy to see them. That would make it more convincing.

I went to the side of the table where the brothers where seated and gave them each a hug.

"I'm sorry Mary but it's been such a long time I've seen my brothers. I have to seat with them." I said.

"That's not a problem dear. I understand." Mary said with a smile.

Denver glared at me silently then looked away and continued eating.

"So... I never knew you had brothers Delanie. Last time I checked it was just you and your..." Kelvin was going to say something but he seemed to be struggling with his words.

I looked to my left and saw that Kyle was staring hard at Kelvin's lips.

"What where you going to say?" Mary asked Kelvin.

"Nothing. I was just being dumb. I remember them now." Kelvin said and shoved some food into his mouth while Mary looked at him awkwardly.

"Okay." Mary said and continued eating. I saw Kyle and Kelvin exchange looks and it wasn't in a nice way.

"Oh boy. Here comes the war." I said and shook my head.

Throughout the meal i noticed them exchanging unpleasant looks. When I finished I went to my room. A few minutes later, Kyle entered my room.

"Don't you know how to knock?" I asked Kyle.

"I came here to talk about the act you pulled out there." Kyle said.

"Oh. So you came to say thank you?" I asked him.

"If yes then you are welcome. Now you can get out. I want to take a bath. After that then I have some questions to ask your brother." I said.

Kyle looked silently at me for some time then he burst out laughing. "Me? Thank you? You have got to be kidding me." he said then stopped laughing.

"I came to tell you that you are lucky you convinced her we were related. As for the questions..." Kyle added and walked closer to me.

"Why don't you ask them to me?" he asked.

I was about to tell him off when the door to my room opened once more. Kelvin walked in.
