CHAPTER NINETY TWO
Delora.
I knew I couldn't keep it away from Esau especially the fact that I was already showing. My stomach was going to get bigger and then I wouldn't be able to hide it any longer.

I would tell him in the morning. I made up my mind that night when I couldn't stop thinking about all the things Denise said to me. I did want Esau to remain friends with me so I was going to drop all my shame and do as Denise has advised.

The next morning came earlier than I had expected. The sun was already out and was scorching. I knew that Esau was already out on the farm at this hour and he would be tending to the horses so when I got up from bed I went straight to the stables. 

The rest of the workers were not present yet so I was glad that Esau and I could have a little privacy to talk before they came.

"Hey, how do you do?" He said giving me the brightest smile when I approached him.

"I am doing great, how about you?" I responded.

He left the rake he had been using earlier to gather the hay and turned all his attention towards me.

"I am fine, you slept for a long time, are you okay? Are you ill?" He asked and I chuckled.

"No, I'm okay. I was just tired from yesterday"

"All you did yesterday was gossip with your friend" he said rolling his eyes and I chuckled.

"Well that is work in case you had no idea" I said and he smiled.

I really was not ready to lose this feeling just because I was embarrassed about being pregnant.

"I need to tell you something" I said and his smile died 
instantly 

"You are not ill are you?" I shook my head and grabbed his hand pulling him to sit on the floor with me.

"What is it?" He asked and I sighed.

"I uhh, first I should let you know that I don't want you to get angry with me and that I value our friendship a lot" I couldn't help but hint that all I thought of us was as friends.

"Uhh, what is going on? If you are not ill what's happening?" He asked sounding concerned.

"I am with child" I said and his eyes widened. He shook his head and his eyes widened again as if he was battling with disbelief.

"I know you have a lot of questions you might want to ask and I am open to answering all of them" I said waiting for him to get used to the news.

"How, I mean when?" He asked and I smiled.

"If you are asking me if it happened here no, it was before I returned to the Castle"

"All this time?!" He said sounding hurt. He looked hurt.

"I just found out"

"That was why the physician was here?" He asked and I nodded.

"He was doing a check up. We, I mean he thought I was not going to last long because of the baby" I said smiling sadly.

"I can not believe this, I'm sorry congratulations but it's d-"

"I understand, I just wanted to tell you" I said smiling.

I knew I should give him time to think so I got up and was about walking away when he held my hand, I sat back down next to him.

"Am sorry, don't leave. I-uhh are you okay?" 

"Yeah," I said and we sat there in silence.

"Does Alpha Otto know?" His voice was calm and low.

"I don't know but I uhh, I told Lady Odessa"

"What about the king?" He asked.

"I uhh, I think he knows, the lady told him"

"Is that why you came here? To the farm?"

"Lady Odessa sent me here, She said it was better for me because the king wanted me away from the pack" he squeezed my hand and I smiled.

"Anyways it's fine, I am happy I was sent here instead of away," I said and he smiled.

"I know you still need your time to think about this so you don't have to say anything," I said and he chuckled.

"Does your friend know?" he asked and I raised my brows.

"Of course she does, she's been helping me and I am grateful for her like I am grateful for you too" I said and he smiled.

I guess thanking him eased him up a little cause he looked less stiff and more himself.

"I can't believe you are with child" he said smiling.

"I know!" I said excitedly. I was very glad he was taking the news well.

"Do you uh, know who the father is?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Were you forced?" He asked, his concern coming back.

"I-i wasn't, I wanted it b-but apparently we were not careful"

"But you said you didn't know the father, you sound like you knew him"

"I didn't, I don't. It was a one time thing and I uh, problems. I was having problems and didn't want to think so I went out and it happened" I said lying through my teeth.

"I am so sorry, but don't worry we will take care of it. I am going to tell my father about this so he can lessen the workload on you"

"Okay, thank you" I said smiling.

"You need to eat, so don't reject any meal I offer next time"

"Sure I won't" I said and he laughed. I know he still wasn't comfortable but he was trying and that was enough for me.

"So uhh can you work?" He asked watching me and I smiled.

"Yes, I'm not sick just with a child" I said picking up the rake.

I heard him chuckle as I went and began gathering hay as well. We were working and talking when all of a sudden his father ran into the stable.

"Alpha Otto is here he-"

"Why is she working under the shade?" I heard him before I saw him. And he wasn't alone, he was with Odessa and he didn't look happy to see me smiling.
