SIXTY FIVE

It has already been two days in this dimensional area that Wayang made for me to take a rest. A day in this place is equivalent to six hours in the outside world and that means I am already gone for twelve hours in the outside. I am wondering what is happening now on the outside.

"You are now fine," Wayang said as she touched my forehead. She said that I also had a fever last night and fortunately she was able to prevent it. She didn't want to go outside after I just healed from a fever but since she wanted to fulfill her promise, she let me go.

I started walking to head to the door. I am feeling better now, better than a few days before. I started walking in the hallway wanting to go to Karsen's room but he was nowhere to be found. I look at the clock inside and it is already two in the afternoon which means Karsen is already at school.

"He is not here. Do you know where he is?" I asked Wayang then she shook her head in response.

"I can't sense him and I don't know why." I was about to speak again when Nini suddenly ran towards me and looked at me.

"Nini! I am glad I see you here." I immediately took her and carried her like a baby. "Maybe he is still at the Campus. I will just wait for him to come home. I badly want to talk to him."

Suddenly her phone rang making her look and see who the caller was. It was Railey. She immediately accepts the call and places the phone on her ear. "Railey," I call for his name.

I could feel the nervousness in his breath, I could hear it. "Charlotte, come here to the Campus. I can't say what I want to say on the phone, I need you to see what are we seeing right now."

My heart raced faster after what he had said. I guess what he's talking about is Karsen and Kalsey. Maybe they are dating right now. "Alright, I'll come."

I immediately went out and took my bag. "Be careful on your way, okay? If you feel something in your body don't hesitate to rest for a bit, okay?" I nodded in response and smiled at Wayang.

"I will, thank you Wayang."

I am now on the bus, riding and heading my way to the Campus. When I arrived, I saw the three of them waiting for me at the gate. When they see me running, they look at me and run towards me. "Charlotte."

"I guess you already know, looking at your face now, I know you have already seen it. " I pressed my lips after what Chico had said. He looks at me seriously making me look on the ground and my tears start to fall. I tried my best not to cry but I couldn't hold it.

Chico moves closer to me and places his right hand at the back of my head and pulls it closer to his chest. He leaned my head to him. "You could have just told us everything. We are your friends, Charlotte."

I started crying again. I thought I won't cry again but this pain I am feeling is hard to control. It keeps on bursting the pain that I always hold. "I did not see them but I already know what happened."

"You can share it with us. We want to know everything." Raily looks at me. I wipe the tears in my eyes and face the three of them. "We asked him earlier why he is with Kalsey and the only response that we got is that Kalsey is his girlfriend which made us confused and wonder."

I am having second thoughts about whether I would tell them everything including myself. I am afraid that they would also be mad at me. I can't lose them too but I can't hide the secrets from them forever. I needed to be honest with them. They deserve the truth.

"But first, let us find a place where we can talk. There is something that I want to reveal. If you all turn me down after the truth, it is fine. You have the right to do it anyway."

Noah taps my shoulders and smiles at me. "We are your friends, we won't turn you down, okay?"

I look at Noah seriously who is still smiling at me. I wonder if he can still say that after hearing all the truths that I am keeping from them.

We decided to talk at the mini forest park near the area, they bought some food first as they told me that they were hungry. They even treated me with some but I told them that I was full, however, Chico is insisted on giving me so I didn't have a choice but to accept it.

While we were eating, I told them the truth, everything that they needed and deserved to know. I looked at their reactions and they were all just looking at me. I look down and speak. "Sorry for hiding this from you all, if you want to turn me down then—"

"Turn you down? We will stay with you, Charlotte. We won't leave you, okay?" Noah held my hands and squeezed it. "We understand that it might be hard for you to say it all because you thought that we wouldn't believe you. I believe in you, Charlotte. We all do."

"I was kind of a bit mad after you said that but what I can do? You are my friend, it is not a big deal but I am hoping that in the future you won't hide secrets from us anymore. Have trust in us, Charlotte." Chico looks at me seriously and then smiles at me causing me to smile as well.

My tears began dripping down my cheeks. Railey immediately took a tissue and gave it to me. "We won't leave you hanging, Charlotte. We will always be by your side so stop crying. We are friends, okay?"

I nodded with a smile on my face. Chico tried his best to make me laugh and even give me a gift. Noah also comforted me as well as Railey. I didn't think they would accept me just like that. I am happy that I met them. Glad that they become my friends.

I wish that Karsen would come back to me too.
