SIXTY THREE
I saw Karsen get out of his car again and go to the seashore near the bar. By just walking a few more steps, the seashore would just be right there. When we arrived I saw Karsen sitting on the sand and staring blankly.
I could feel the cold breeze and hear the sound of the waves crashing as Karsen's pain consumed me. It was as if the wind was also sharing the same feeling that he had right now.
I gain courage at first before walking towards him. When Karsen senses my presence, he immediately looks at where I am. "What are you doing here? How did you know that I am here?"
"It is all just a coincidence, Karsen. You know I love hanging out at the bar even though I am alone and then I saw you walking and I followed you," I replied without looking at him. He immediately looked away and just stared at the sea which I also did.
"I remember everything that happened here," I mutter trying to make a conversation with him but still Karsem doesn't want to reply. "The sound of the waves will always soothe my heart."
"Same here."
After he replied, I drew a smile on my face. Finally, he is talking with me now. He is replying to me now.
"It was the time that we only enjoy small things." I saw him drinking the beer beside him. I looked at his handsome face, it was dark and sad. The Karsen that I knew before I met him is here. Is the pain that he is currently feeling now causing him to be like that again? Cold and empty.
"I am not in the mood to talk, Kalsey. Everything that I will see or hear, it cannot process in my mind anymore."
"You can share it with me, Karsen. Let me know, rant it to me. I will listen to you for everything." I smiled and looked at him causing him to look at me as well.
Even though it is dark, I can still his face blushing red because of what he is drinking now. He took one of the beers and gave it to me. "It is boring to talk about something without a beer, right?" That made me smile. I always said that to him whenever I told him to rant it everything with me. I cannot believe that he can still remember it.
"Don't get me wrong, Kelsey. I just want you closer to me as I still want to try to let our friendship be back again. Nothing else." That made me hurt but it doesn't matter anyway. As long as I can sit beside him and talk with him like this. It is more than enough for me.
"I will keep that in mind, Karsen." The both of us cheered and put the beer down. He started looking in front of him again causing me to have a chance to put three drops of the love potion in his beer.
"How's life going with you now, Kalsey?" I look at him when he says that. I smiled.
"Nothing much, I just keep on missing those moments that we have before. It's just that." That is what I have answered to him. I needed to know how much I missed him. How much I always want to hug and kiss him again.
"You still remembering those moments?" I nodded in response. "Didn't you feel somethin' like pain while remembering those?"
"Oh Karsen, you don't know how woman loves their man. You can hurt them now but they will still always choose you. Even though it tears their soul apart, you still can't stop their hearts loving the same person every day. It is exhausting but we were made like this, I guess? Their hearts were always pure as they will still wish them the best even though they knew that person hurt them a million times."
Yes, I still want Karsen for the best but seeing him with someone else now made me hurt even more. How could he fall for someone new when I am still here, standing and waiting at where he left me? I wanted to blame him but I can't and I guess that is where true love starts. That even though you wanted to hate the person, you can't.
"Isn't it better if you choose to move on? And love someone else again?"
"It is not easy for me, Karsen. You can't blame me for still loving you just like I have loved you before. You mean so much to me and I don't want you to lose. You are the person that I would always find in the morning and in the evening, Karsen."
"I am sorry, but I don't really love you anymore, Kalsey. There is someone I want to love now. We have broken each other's hearts and it is time to finally move on. I know you can still find a man better for you."
How could he say that in front of me? Am I that easy to forget? To replace? I wanted to ask him this. All of these questions but I choose not to. I don't want to burst into tears again.
"I understand, Karsen. I am here to have a closure with you anyway, I am now accepting you both." I looked at him and caught him smiling. Is he really that happy that I am finally gone in his life? Because if it is me, I can't.
"So, cheers?" He raised his beer and that made me smile.
"Cheers."
Both of us drink the beer and me? I was waiting for him to stop drinking and when he was finally done. I immediately pull his face closer to mine and touch his lips to mine. I open my mouth and kiss his lower lip seductively. Only seconds are needed to make him mine, seconds, let me kiss you like this Karsen.
After the seconds have finally ended. I moved away from him and smiled at him but Karsen was the one who was now pulling me closer to him and kissed me torridly which I accepted too. We kissed each other as if we were thirsty to taste our lips.
So, you still love how my lips taste don't you, Karsen?
